[Music] [Music] hello everybody Ben Rogers here the Raptors die just ready to dive in to all the live free agency Madness we got a lot of stuff going a lot of stuff cooking regarding this Toronto Raptors team a lot of story lines to dive into a little bit of a j trying to set up a new looked kind of feel live stream that we’re getting rolling obviously this has been the works for a little while but really amped up for uh the Toronto Raptors right now what they’re planning to do the trades that could go down because right now it’s official the time clock has already passed in terms of NBA free agency so now it’s official external moves can be made so the Raptors have a few crazy storylines a few major things that we’re going to see leading up into this the major sort of discussions happening with this squad and basically we’re here to dive it all down react to it live get it all rocking so I appreciate everyone in here Tech took Tech took a little bit of time to to set up late so but uh it’s all good to go here now at this point but hope everyone’s doing well chat I think I’m catching up here now at this point but lots of stuff has already kind of happened in this free agency period this year was unique in the sense that years prior players that were currently on your team that were currently on your roster they were unable to be discussing able to negotiate unable to do different things in regards to essentially making deals go down so usually we’d see the Scotty Barnes extension that happened just weeks ago it would happen immediately right now obviously tampering discussions and stuff would end up going down regularly but officially that wouldn’t pop up that wouldn’t actually break down unless uh obviously the unless things uh things were leaked and then second round picks would be removed and things like that but basically Scotty Barnes ass signed to an extension for the Toronto Raptors to uh that’s going to be upwards if he makes an allba team or an all defensive team of 270 million broke down the details of that in the most recent video we dropped essentially no opt outs no uh player options team options at the back end of that contract Scotty Burns fully locked in for a very long time so essentially that’s one of the big moves that tono raptors have already made during this free agency period and then also we have uh Emanuel quickley the guy that was probably the biggest concern to Toronto Raptors fans as a Flight Risk if other teams would match deals and then he’d walk for nothing well it seems like other teams were offering big money contracts to Emanuel quickly because of the amount of money we had to give up the amount of money we had to offer in order to keep Emanuel quickly back on the roster back on the team but we ended up bringing back Emanual quickly on a I believe 5year all o deal for $35 million annually so the two real big dogs that we have in terms of free agency the big things have already been accomplished by the Toronto Raptors here now at this point and then the rest of the things that are really big to deal with the first one is involving Gary Trent Jr because again Gary is a guy that we know he’s uh the star boy Gary Trent Jr knocks down some shots and get his game rocking but unfortunately uh he’s an unrestricted free agent now this off season and didn’t really live up to his usual expectations or hype last year didn’t uh well didn’t live up to his usual expectations and didn’t improve really as a as a player there at this point so that’s kind of how it went with Gary Tren Jr I’m also keeping the tweets live the wge noties kind of ready to go so we’re not missing a single thing you know regarding the latest updates we’re going to dive into all the NBA discussions not just Toronto Raptor things on this chat on this uh this discussion here but we’re summarize and we’re breaking everything down before we really uh sink our teeth into the stuff that’s going on around the league because major Clay Thompson Paul George different updates regarding the top guys and uh you know some rumors I’m seeing already here now at this point but basically Gary Trent Jr unrestricted free agents now you see the title trades incoming and stuff because in order for us to bring back Gary Trent Jr in order for him to be back on the roster at a contract that’s expected he’s going to command out there on the open market the 17 to20 million range we have to make some trades we have to make some moves the torona Raptors decide to pick up Bruce Brown’s 23 Mill million doll option going into next season so what does that mean for this team well we don’t really have enough uh to have a full mid-level exception for anyone we’re trying to sign during the course of this offseason and we don’t have enough to bring back G Trent Jr unless we want to go over the tax which given the Toronto Raptor performance in uh you know especially to close off last season it would be shocking it would be idiotic it would be silly for this Raptor team to be a tax team going into next season because then you have restrictions in terms of what can happen for the future for different years in uh in the future time because frankly the Toronto Raptors uh want to be able to have their mid-level exception stuff not to have back-to-back sort of taxpaying years so when we have a championship competitive core Scotty Barnes RJ Barrett Emanuel quickley Grady dick um you know jacobe Walter all those guys develop right then this team is able to bring in those complimentary pieces to win us a championship so that’s kind of where we at with this Toronto Raptor team so expectations are Bruce Brown potentially even Yak of purle could get dealt you know in the next hour in the next little while especially as free agency open we know more what’s going on with the external players the external guys around the NBA and now we’re just kind of keeping an update keeping stuff what’s uh what’s going down and christe is in the chat saying we should sign Gary Trent Jr you know I I hate to see the asset Walk For Nothing especially we traded Norman pal from have we conm confirmed salary uh for next season yet let’s uh see I I’m missing a bit salary cap for next season I’ve been seeing news about yes shams essentially broke it all down so it’s not as high as some people were expecting but it has increased that’s uh something that’s gone down for the for you know the the salary cap here now at this point that’s uh that’s where the Raptors are at but basically there have been some moves some moves have already gone down here now at this point in uh you know in uh what’s it called in free agency you know since this uh this time that’s developed here now we’ll break down the official stuff we’ll break down the official reports and then all the rumors because again given how things have shaked out in regards to uh players being able to sign you know the week prior you know after the NBA season ended and between the end of the season and actual you know free agency opening you know there’s less like hard-hitting immediate stuff but I expect a lot of moves still to go down here now at this point tonight but basically let me pull up W’s account because the the Celtics did end up signing Luke cornette back to their roster I know Bruce down and Celtics side just is pretty amped up about him being able to return so basically no one Raptor SS don’t care about luk orette one of the big news one of the big sort of drops the earlier reports from the from this free agency period is the Golden State Warriors ended up waving Chris Paul who had a $ million guarantee date sources have told ESPN he becomes a free agent so basically Chris Paul who had a $30 million guarantee he has been waved he is no longer with the Golden State Warriors news has also come out essentially that Klay Thompson he is not going to be back with the Golden State Warriors either so that team is going to be looking extremely different going into next season the new ember salary cap is $140 million the luxury tax cap is $170 million here now at this point first apron is$ 178 and the second apron is 188 so if you are uh if you are over that cap you have a lot of restrictions you have a lot of issues coming in on your team in terms of what’s going down there but Chris Paul is gone he is uh he is on a different roster that’s official that’s a little uh a little wge bomb let’s get all not the not the tanks let’s get the W bomb rocket for things that are going there vintage pimpit you have not missed any specific Raptors news the new stuff in terms of what’s going down you know this free agency that I’ve seen yet we’re scrolling through it together might be a little bit delayed but uh restrictive free agent Max Christie signed a 4-year $32 million deal to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers so you know that’s an interesting pickup for them again not a huge deal Obi toppen I guess this is uh this is the first one this is the the deal that uh impacts the torona Raptors as Obi toen was a guy that the torona Raptors fans were interested in especially with the Pascal seak trade rumors and stuff thinking we could get Obi toppen out there in uh you know as a trade piece but basically uh restrictive free agent Obi toppen signed a 4-year 60 million contract with the Indiana Pacers that’s the the deal that ended up going down that ended up signing for uh for Obi toppen so that’s uh that’s the updates there so I guess it’s a little bit of torona raptors news the big Raptors news that dropped today and I made a video on it a couple hours before going live is reports have come out there’s a couple a couple Raptors updates Let’s uh let’s see because if Messiah gets on this the cooking will begin if actually go down but essentially messeri has come out and already said that he’s interested in picking up cam Johnson in a tra messiah’s come out reports have come out that messiah’s interested the Raptors are interested in picking up cam Johnson I can bring up that uh that report here essentially cam Johnson 13 points per game uh four rebounds 2.4 assists uh the actual report regarding the situation is the Brooklyn NS Ford cam Johnson has drawn recent trade interests from several teams including the Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings League sources have told hoopy so that’s the big update that’s the kind of big news we’ve seen regarding cam Johnson here now at this point so that’s uh that’s one update that’s kind of going down there but other than that no crazy update we did have a Scotty Barnes in terms of we know I already broke this down the live his uh his deal is fully guaranteed there’s no player options no team options he is fully locked into the Toronto Raptors uh there at this point and Gary Tren Jr going to Brooklyn then yeah probably a signning trade probably something there but uh I yeah we got I I got distracted I’m looking at different moves I’m I can’t read between sental tweets and uh not but uh we’ll see what’s going on here now at this point [Music] of we got that going too much stuff happening too much is out of Golden State he’s off the Golden State Warriors He’s going to be leaving the Golden State Warriors here now at this point and he’s going to have discussions with the Dallas Mavericks the LA Lakers the LA Clippers but uh but or the philadel and the Philadelphia 76ers in the opening hours of free agency so that’s uh that’s the new news regarding Klay Thompson again some uh some Raptor sense me interested about uh about bringing in some uh some guys you know about Klay Thompson there but the Lakers the Mavericks the Clippers and the Sixers are all guys that are interested in uh you linked to the Toronto Raptors for a decent amount of time a decent period of time so basically uh interesting uh potential Target the Raptors have uh bolstered their Center position in over the past year or so you know with yakob purle into the mix obviously Kelly o lenic on the squad and then you know Chom into the mix you know this team has a few centers has a few big men but obviously depending on what goes down with yaka purle that’s the big question that’s what uh people are really going to be diving sinking their teeth into with this Toronto Raptors team moving forward but uh Raptors that’s that’s just the reality of it the Spurs are a team that is heavily interested in uh in th those updates we do have have a signing regarding Golden State though big uh big Dalton Johnson bomb basically the Golden State Warriers are signing Kevin Knox to their summer league team so crazy crazy free agent deals going down here now at this point so that’s uh that’s something to keep a lookout for in terms of what’s going on here now at this point but basically hannes just reported the Bulls proposed uh Andrew oh okay we have an interesting update from Chris Haynes so news said before Chris Paul was w that the Bulls proposed Wiggins and Chris Paul for Zack LaVine and the Golden State Warriors said no interesting so basically Zack LaVine could have been going to the Golden State Warriors but ended up saying no so things have not worked out there and I guess this could be skewed as Toronto Raptors no world we get Zack LaVine no world we go after him unless it’s a salary dump and honestly Zack LaVine as a salary dump would be a very very interesting option I’d like to see I’m going to throw I’m going to throw this into the chat no official reports cuz we’re about to dive into uh we’re about to dive into some speculation cuz there’s reports coming up here I don’t know how to how to do this live PLL start a pull uh should we take Zack LaVine on a salary dump I attaching a first round pick to him but so far no teams have showed interest there’s no market for Zack LaVine they’re trying to give him away and attach him for a first- round pick but I’ve been told multiple people like if we can get a first and we can get Zack LaVine on the I know would take minutes away from RJ Barrett but frankly I’d run a lineup of IQ R RJ Barrett Zack LaVine Scotty Burns and yaka purle I’d run that I think that’s a fine little lineup to run out there for this Toronto Raptors team moving forward into the next season and then we get a bulls first round pick out of it do you understand how valuable a unprotected Bulls first round pick would be we’re not worried about cap space we’re not worried about this stuff we got to let Gary Trent Jr walk or things like that in the future I mean I that’s something I’d be interested don’t you know 80% of the chat is saying no and I get it I get it what how many years are left on Zack Le lavine’s contract but that is absurd the guy’s been injured the dude averaged 27 points per game just years ago I mean that is uh he shoots threes he’s know elad shooter we redeem his value and then we trade him when his contract is a little bit better that’s that’s a that’s a no-brainer for a team right now in the Toronto Raptors that is in that sort of tanking mindset that tanking mold that’s what we like to see but but uh Nick is out there do the Bulls make trades they don’t usually the bulls usually don’t make trades it’s a good point but they have started they’ve started to make the deals happen try to get some deals going cuz they have to their team is completely mid they’re in a weird spot right now but basically the team is really mid for the for the Toronto for the Chicago Bulls and what’s it called they just dealt away Alex Caruso for Josh giddy so they’re trying to shake up their roster try to get stuff going so German German’s doing the Lord’s work out here helping us out saying that three to four years so on Zack LaVine steel so it’s a lot of money 100 years are left on Zack LaVine steel coming from Michael Edmond but uh basically the kings are active in trade talk supposedly to get Brandon Ingram now I do want to bring this up I do want to bring this up for some discussion I want some bad banter I want some back and forth with the chat as well and also I’m keeping track of the sub count that we got Ingram and a Brandon Ingram sweep Stakes they’re two teams that could get involved so that’s interesting that is an interesting sort of discussion that is interesting that the Raptors are brought up and it’s interesting because it makes no sense it makes no sense for this Raptor group yes if we could insert Ingram into this team without cap space without anything there with not having to give up any ass to bring an end Brandon Ingram that would make a ton of sense to the stroner Raptors group I’d love it it’d be great we’d love to see it but the fact is we’d have to give up some serious Assets in order to bring back Brandon Ingram and given how mid this team was last year and bad we were at the end of the last season are we sure that Brandon Ingram is the guy we want to be given 30 plus million dollars to to be that final piece on this Raptor core roster to compete in the Eastern Conference probably not probably not because again it’s uh the East is looking crazy right now and if the Philadelphia 76ers I just made a video on Courtside digest but uh but basically regarding uh Paul George myself and Jack are out there two raps fans covering uh covering NBA news but basically if the Sixers get Paul George and they have a trio of Tyrese Maxi Paul George and Joel and bean apparently they want kcp too if they have that type of roster and the Celtics have the roster they have drew holiday Jaylen Brown Jason Tatum Chris Stinky Pinky porzingis Al Horford Derek white that team is loaded and now the Knicks with Jaylen Bruns with male Bridges OG anobi Julius Randall Mitchell Robinson Dante dienzo Josh Hart if these are the teams do McBride if they have all these players all these guys out there right it doesn’t make sense for the Toronto Raptors to go all in on Brandon Ingram who basically Shane 10 puts a great point in the chat says it cakam is better than Ingram we should have kept Pascal cakam no sense in trading away assets to bring in Brandon Ingram when we could have just kept Pascal seak no world it makes any world of reason to get Brandon Ingram here now at this point even though I do think we should have kept Pascal seak and whatever’s going on so have an update in terms of the offer that the CLE the CLE Cavaliers the Golden State Warriors made to the LA Clippers for PG and included no does it come from Bleach from the athletic Chris Paul which we knew Andrew Wiggins kaminga M Moody and a first- round pick and the Clippers Deni that what the Clippers denied for Paul George CP3 Wiggins kaminga Moody was was James Harden in this deal too like why on Earth who whoever’s the GM of the Clippers needs to be fired if they decline that trade Moody and kaminga and a first and wiggin’s trash contract I get that but wow wow wow wow that is shocking basketball team is the front line again if the Denver Nuggets came out and said Jamal Murray you can’t play if they came out and said Shay gild just Alexander you can’t play there you know more heads would turn but Andrew Wiggins you can kind of get away with Zack Edy you can kind of get away with but I have a conspiracy that these NBA teams do not want to see the USA lose to Team Canada they don’t want to see these close games go down because we beat him in FBA we beat the United States in those feba competitions all right and right now the Golden State Warriors Steve Kerr who has that deep tight relationship with that USA team national team whatever and again we know that they’re shopping they offered Andrew Wiggins to LA Clippers so maybe he gets trade in the next 24 hour hours right he’s able to play for Team Canada but we know Steve Ker’s tight relationship with USA USA Basketball these teams are out here doing something to keep all the forwards from playing for Team Canada during this offseason during the Olympics this year there is something going on this isn’t FBA this isn’t some random you know jamere tournament on a Saturday weekend you know out there in you know Nova Scotia or what this is the Olympics this is Team Canada and the gold State Wars they let Steph Curry play for those teams they let Draymond Green play for those teams they let Klay Thompson picking up Paul George and kcp this off season and a team I know how much Raptors fans myself hate the six I hate the Celtics way more I hate the that’s way more that’s just my personal vendettas I last year and they’re relatively healthy that is nasty nasty Squad Tobi harus there’s no world he is coming back to the Philadelphia 76ers that man is playing for the Detroit Pistons next season you can put money on it and news came out today as well that they uh they hired uh the former Cavs coach the the Phil the Detroit Pistons gave a five-year contract to the former Cavs coach uh I don’t even remember his name but fired again you know another guy that they’re just giving Max contracts to to to bring in they fired after a giant giant deal that they had to eat for Monty Williams they uh they well I don’t know why his brain is slipping me right now I’ve been talking this this Cavs chatter for a little while but uh we also have an update we have another update as well we have another update
