Comparing last season to this season it looks much better already

Zach Ostapchuk 4C and Big Mac probably slot in the last two spots. Overall I really like the make up of this team, more well rounded.
It’s really Kleven’s spot to lose this upcoming season, JBD also massively improved throughout the year. Think they can make a decent bottom pairing with limited responsibilities and add to their work load as they mature and progress.
I’m mainly happy that Chabby finally gets his own Zub. Big year for Chabby and I hope he returns to form.
I would put Perron on line 2 so he can stand in front of the net like brady and just let Pinto and Batherson cook.
Add Joseph and MacEwen. That gives us only about $3.5 to sign Pinto.
We still have Joseph who you’ve forgotten to include too, but otherwise looks pretty good. I’d tweak it slightly though.
Although my biggest gripe, and I’m really sorry for being “that guy”, but it’s Greig. No ‘i’ before ‘e’ except after ‘c’ here.

Hope Norris can stay healthy for most of the season
The team is objectively better on paper. They are better defensively and added a serious veteran presence.
People need to take a deep breath. They have the space to bridge Pinto and as others have said, it’s likely Joseph is gone.

After seeing the moves other teams have made today, not sure I would call that roster a playoff team.
I think it’s very optimistic that Norris can produce in a top 6 spot at this point. One injury will destroy this teams hopes again, no depth and nothing in the cupboards
It was recently posted that Pinto has requested a trade for what it’s worth.
I mean, you’re ignoring Tarasenko who, for all his flaws, is probably better than Perron
There’s also not much evidence for Gregor, Kleven, or JBD being actual NHL players
Crooker and Ostapchuk to the 4th? What do you guys think about maybe Perron or Amadio to the 4th and Jarventie to the 3rd? We have a couple cheap options that could fit.
Defense I’d like someone other than JBD paired with Kleven tho.
I actually fuck with Staios’s vision here.
Our defensive system and goaltending fucked us last season.
We’re rolling into this season with Ullmark as the starter with a top 4 of Sanderson, Zub, Chabot, and Jensen.
We added some forward depth with Perron and Amadio signings.
If we can re-sign Pinto and fill out the rest of the roster I think this team will take some people by surprise

I don’t have much confidence that Norris will be ready for the start of camp. In fact, until we see him take contact I have some concerns about whether he will play in the league again. I hope he comes to camp and sticks it up my nose, but until I see him in the lineup opening night I will worry…
LOL. They massively overpaid for Peron.
What is the penalty on buying out Forsberg? How much would we save if we buy him out and have a league minimum or Sogard as backup? Maybe a way to free up money. Although I know Staios said they’re not buying anyone out today….. maybe in the future?
I’m just happy Staios disbanded that 4th line, my god they were awful. Kelly definitely improved after JM took over as coach, but we have a multiple-season sample size of him and he was very unimpressive. Kastelic was a waste and with both of them gone I think we’ll see an improvement in both speed and finishing.
Another thing I’ll add is that we absolutely cannot roll into the season with Kleven-JBD/Hamonic as our 3rd pair, what a disaster that would be. Keep Kleven there but we need to bring in someone who can actually insulate him properly.
