[Woj] Free agent Klay Thompson plans to join the Dallas Mavericks on a three-year, $50M deal with a player option, sources tell ESPN. Thompson ends his historic Warriors run as part of a multi-team sign-and-trade that’ll also send Josh Green to Charlotte.

5. $16 million for a great three point shooter is exactly what we needed. Klay is going to come off the bench and get us 15-18 per night on efficient shooting. Luka is about to average 15 assists per game

9. Anyone saying this isn’t a good pick-up is a hater. Klay is still a marksman and can play D, maybe not to the level he was able to, but he can create his own shots and doesn’t need to rely on Luka. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Klay is going to be a problem for a lot of teams. I still think they need another big, but this is a process, and it’s still early.

19. Klay is not washed at all tbh yes he’s had a season or two not up to his standards (which are insanely high) but playing with Luka AND Kyrie he’s going to get so many good looks… id expect him to be much better than the last couple seasons on the warriors

27. You know Josh missed 25 games last year, 22 games the year before. It’s not like he was bullet-proof/Superman. Klay only missed 5 games last year.
