WTF STEVE YZERMAN… THE DETROIT RED WINGS SIGN JACK CAMPBELL

bruh Stevie y oh my goodness not only do the Red Wings sign cam talbat but they also signed Jack Campell yeah the Edmonton Oilers buyout guy the really bad player that we had talked about yesterday soup baby soup is being served in Detroit Jack cample is heading over to mtown after posting up the worst season he has ever had as an NHL athlete 87 three save percentage and a 450 goals against in five games played as we had talked about in the video the other day talking about how he’s getting bought out this guy stunk the entire year for Edmonton he only had one good game against the Predators 43 saves on 44 shots against but the Vancouver cans set the tone early and often for Jack cample season four goals against on 16 shots he had a 750 save percentage in that one kind of funny because steuart Skinner came in in that game and then also posted up a 750 safe percentage but either way Jack cample had never been the same ever since leaving the Toronto M beliefs two seasons ago he posted up an 888 save percentage with the Oilers in his first season an 873 in the second season a 918 in the playoffs or excuse me not in the playoffs in the AHL in this season’s worth of play which is good but then again it’s like you know the guy was making 5 million bucks so expensive you want this kind of production in the NHL he also had an 857 safe percentage in the AHL playoffs not all too great over there but cample gets bought out and then signs with the Detroit Red Wings on a $775,000 deal one year long think about that the guy had a 93 something save percentage in the playoffs for Toronto had a 914 the next year was a coveted free agent made all this money in free agency $30 million contract he gets bought out and he go from that $5 million aav to 775,000 now sure I’m sure you or me or anybody else in our positions would kill for a $775,000 contract in anything that we do but for a pro athlete to be making 5 million bucks and go from that get bought out and be making this on the contract after it is such a wild ride lots of whiplash here now I know a lot of people are going to be harping on this but as the grind line guys said people are forgetting that Grand Rapids exists so yeah this is going to be for the AHL not really an NHL caliber guy H lion and cam talbat will be splitting the load in the NHL cample will be AHL caliber right iser plan looking great oh boy this is going to be crazy man cannot imagine the response to this I really really cannot Jack cample is from Michigan though so maybe that’s why he’s signing with his hometown team the Detroit Red Wings right that makes a lot of sense so let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about Jack Campell signing with the Detroit Red Wings one-year contract $775 $100,000 is the aav I hope you enjoyed this v99 and bye

  1. Someone tell me, how does a buyout work? Does he collect the money from the bought out contract? If so, no big deal he's still getting paid! Or not. Do share.

  2. lol what a crap free agency for Detroit, same for draft, passing up on high scorers in draft and dull free agency proves Yzerman needs to take a hike. You pass Cole Eiserman and sign two worthless goalies and mid card D men, please fire Yzerman. He has had 5 years and can't cut the mustard. And yes I get it Talbot and Campbell going to AHL, but still. Cossa is nowhere NHL ready for at least 2 years.

  3. Wtf is he doing? Look at all tje 1yr deals on othe players that are junk. Ate we blocking prospects yet again. Yzerman deems to be going crazy again like last year

  4. He’s from Port Huron. He’ll be in Grand Rapids. Maybe he can turn it around. Maybe not. If not then it didn’t cost us anything really.

  5. It's not going to be a big deal. I be surprised if he even see NHL ice. He'll go down to work with Cossa, like Hutchinson did last season.

  6. Its a low risk signing and honestly i think jack can still be a backup in the nhl, remember when Campbell stunk last year, edm's defense was hot garbage(which is putting it lightly). I believe that Jack will play in grand rapids but could be a low key good call up. I like the move, absolutely no downside with this signing and he's easy to burry in the minors.

  7. I do not like the stats of the player, but 1 year at league minimum, that is a vastly better deal than what Edmonton had him at and if he looks more like his Toronto self than his Edmonton self that is a good signing, but I am not holding out hope on that. Regardless, league minimum is far less cap hit to bury that $5M.

  8. I don’t see why people are freaking out about it. He’s from Michigan, it’s a 1 year deal at less than 1mil.
At worst: he cannot hang in the AHL and his career is over after this season
At best: he revitalizes his career and can be a solid NHLer again on a bargain contract.
Most likely: He’s going to be backing up Cossa in Grand Rapids

  9. I'm not a Detroit fan,but I bet ya that Cambell has a good year with Detroit. He is an American goalie,he is going to want to play in the states, easier to see his family.

  10. I have lost all faith in Steve Yzerman I have no idea what this guy is doing. Bringing in clowns. Holl last year Jack Campbell, and Gustafson this year, what the f man!!

  11. its hilarious i was joking about thinking the wings signed Jonas Gustavsson who retired 5 years ago,,, but then they signed 2 goalies who make me wish they signed Gustavsson…..what is with Yzermans deal and low level NHL tendys, cuz whatever brilliant idea he thought he had,,, it was wrong(Ned)….then it was wrong again(Husso)….then it was wrong again(Lyon/Reimer). 4th times the charm tho…..

Realistically tho this shouldnt matter, cuz this is the year both Cossa/Augustine could/should be arriving,,, and the wings only need 1 of those 2guys to hit and we gucci for a decade, and surely they both cant miss. I personally am very confident in Augustine having watched him many times, and seeing him have good results at this years WC vs pro-level competition. An NHL debut in 2024 would be a bit of an acceleration of his development, but I think it is merited at this point, however if he starts the year in the NCAA I guess it basically becomes moot.

  12. Best case scenario is he rebounds back to his form from when he was with the Leafs then Yzerman trades him at the deadline. Worst case scenario is that he continues to stink and the Wings continue to pay him league minimum to play in the AHL.

  13. You know who's going to benefit from these signings? Toledo! Stevie's flooding GR with so many "iffy" players that they won't know what to do with them. Let's Go Walleye? I guess…..

  14. Silly, immature video header/screen captioning, here, something that seems to be becoming a trend on this channel.

Hmmm, let me see, Steve Yzerman's GM judgement, based on a lifetime immersed in pro-hockey OR yours🤔? Well, I think I know who I'll go with, here: not sure about your other viewers, though, of course.

  15. You gotta think Toronto and Edmonton's defense were pretty brutal in these days.
Plus Yzerman likes to revive your career.and confidence. And it's a gamble, it might pay out. It might be a good thing for him to go down toThe Grand Rapids rebuild his confiden and career that he could be a backup cossa or vice aversa.
