Charlotte Hornets Acquire Josh Green From The Dallas Mavericks!

what is going on everyone trust the buzz here if you’re new to the channel I make charl the Hornets content so if that interested you make sure you go ahead and hit that subscribe button down below if you cannot tell by the thumbnail title of this video in today’s video we’re talking about how the Charlotte Hornets got Josh green uh because Klay Thompson left the Warriors did and the Warriors have to do a signing trade with the Dallas Mavericks therefore the M have to get rid of some salary and in that salary dumb they gave us Jos green and I’m pretty sure a lot of that came from the connection that our front office probably established with their front office during the trade deadline as we traded you know PJ Washington and gr Williams but I’m quickly here to talk about just the trade we’ll talk I have another video after work talking more so about Josh green and what I think he can provide for the team I’ll kind of briefly touch on it here but still I as of right now I do not have all the trade details but it makes all the sense in the world we needed Wing size we needed Wing depth we needed quality role players it honestly didn’t matter well positioned I know we’re sick of guards I know we’re sick of just kind of having the same like Center uh archetype but we just need a quality backup positions and Josh Green definitely fits that and honestly Josh Green could possibly make a play depending on what happens with Miles Bridges which is still up in the air as of right now when I’m recording this video um he possibly could make a play to beat a starting shooting guard we’ll see but overall incredible player incredible job by Jeff Peterson I’ve been making jokes all day just talking about what it’s like to be a Hornets fan during free agency and normally it’s a lot of sitting and waiting and kind of letting free agency come to you um and and I get it it works out for some teams but for us it just felt as though it wasn’t good enough um I feel like some other teams have quality uh plans so they allow they are able to allow free agency come to them they have quality reputation around the league so they’re able to say hey well you you know you want to come here and you don’t like necessarily what we’re offering we have like they kind of have the pool to say go see what you’re worth and then come back and they can say that to free agents they don’t have to say that to their own we don’t have that and it felt as though free agency was just happening to us and we didn’t have a plan it looked that way this way from the outside looking in but obviously they had a plan like I said I still don’t know what’s going to happen with Miles Bridges but Josh Green definitely is a huge pickup and I’m very very glad that Jeff Peterson and Company were able to get that to happen he’s a guy that can defend he shoots like 30 he shot like 38 maybe even 39% from three last year he’s good in transition he he like I said he can defend the perimeter he can him and Brandon Miller I’m really excited to see them kind of defend the perimeter together defend the other teams to probably two best players because they can do it in different ways um I think they’re I think Josh Green is more of a he’s more of like a hustle kind of physical Defender as opposed to Brandon Miller as feel as a mother fun fundamental and he let his you know his physical build kind of do all the work for him and then he just kind of put play himself in the right position he did a lot of that especially considering he was a rookie I was just really you know surprised um just because rookies don’t typically defend well but Brandon Miller was actually a good Defender and it helps that he has the physical tools to be a great defender so seeing them two kind of together pair with L Mela ball it literally is just perfect it’s something we’ve been looking at um during the trade deadline actually last year was can we get Josh green on this team I’m pretty sure you know obviously we’re happy with having Grant Williams in a first- round pick that came over but getting Josh green and almost like a giveaway because I I feel like at at probably at most we probably had to give away a couple seconds or something but still and and and I only say that because of the CBA I think it’s like I don’t know it’s some weird rules where you can’t just give players I don’t know we’ll see like I said as of right now I do not have all the trade details if the trade details are out by time I post the video then I’ll make sure to put that in the link in description below or in the comments but overall super excited about having Jos green whether he comes off the bench whether he starts like that’s really dependent on miles but either way I think he’s going to have a tremendous impact on his roster he’s a guy I would definitely like to see stay I don’t really know his contract off the back of my head or the top of my head sorry I’m trying to record a lot cuz I got to go back to work but overall excellent excellent pickup can’t wait to see what we what more we do I think this is going to kind of be the Avalanche I’m not saying you know moves are going to happen second by second but I do feel like this is going to be okay we’re slowly kind of seeing where we’re going with this and and I’m super excited like I said and I think I think it’s just going to be huge for us because he’s a guy that is Extreme quality guys like Cody Martin I don’t think are going to be able to be established with with a guy like Jos green now whether miles once again stays or goes that kind of has a depiction on that but still overall just great great great pickup go
