premieres on a cardinal podcast I’m proud of our Discord Brethren who kept it in the Discord over the weekend we got people asking what happened in the 999 we’re going to get to it here in just a little bit but welcome on this welcome absolutely uh I think today and on Saturday Redemption may have been spelled JN it’s possible it’s possible I mean we’ll give a full thorough breakdown because I know everybody wants to hear it I’m willing to admit that yeah I’m man enough to admit that but look at our look at our gear look at that mhj shirt just popping it looks a lot better on my monitor than uh than Johnny’s I don’t know what that is you got your little brightness turned up here yeah but it looks good talking some quarterbacks saw a little list L season I woke up today man was it slim pickings as far as the the topics today I mean we are it the calendar changed to July and the the wells dried up as far as what’s going on as far as the NFL like people are it’s Hiatus and that’s fine yeah we got we got three three weeks between now and when JG Kyler Murray Marvin Harrison Jr take the grid iron for a little training camp for the 2024 season uh yeah we’re gonna talk Kylie Murray plenty this year but top of mind right now how does KY the Murray stack up with his NFC West Piers because there was an article that came out basically ranking quarterbacks by division like collectively who had the top quarterbacks per division throughout you know of course the eight divisions in the NFL and the NC West ranked pretty high which I I do find funny because everybody in the National media sometimes the local media are quick to bury Kyler Murray you gotta pivot you got to move off of them you gotta upgrade yet the NFC West Bow by a pretty reputable Source NFC West ranked second of all quarterbacks only behind which division the AFC North which I think is getting a little too much respect it’s a very topheavy Division and there’s certainly a couple of those you look uh to that conference obviously I think it’s the uh senior circuit currently as far as the NFL goes there’s there more good teams in the AFC than there currently are in the NFC is you know you’ve outlined there’s a lot of opportunity in the NFC but it’s because of you know the the players at that position at quarterback and you got the AFC North which is led by another two-time MVP and Lamar Jackson you got Joe Bur who’s made his his way to a Super Bowl but then you look at the rest of the division and that’s where I’m like uh are they the number one quarterback division you know DeShaun Watson who I saw somebody shared a chart with us today about incompletions that were caused by inaccuracies and you look at who’s near the top of that chart it’s deshun Watson and his new rag arm that he’s gonna have to hopefully you know get back to health for a big season that the Browns are expecting in that tough division and then you got the Pittsburgh Steelers whose quarterbacks you castoffs of Russell Wilson and uh of course friend of this program Justin Fields not a friend of our program we haven’t SP spoken very highly of Justin fields on the show uh I I think this list is there’s a lot of moving parts let’s stick within the NFC West landscape here before we look at the list in its entirety Bo um Brock pry I think we all agree a byproduct of his coaching his personnel certainly it’s it’s the most you know talent-rich offensive Personnel that we’ve seen in our adult life right led by Christian mcaffrey Debo Samuel Brandon auk and George KD it’s it’s an embarrassment of riches and good for Brock P’s Taken full advantage but you look at his limitations combine that with Gino Smith who I like Gino Smith fine he’s had a nice Reclamation project he’s in his mid-30s and he’s been to the postseason one time didn’t make the playoffs last year he almost lost to Joshua dobs and if it wasn’t for Matt Prader two field goals which helped us land this young man right here Kyler Murray would have upended Gino Smith so really it’s in my opinion it’s Kyler Murray versus Matthew Stafford and I think it’s it’s funny we look at Matthew Stafford as this big well accomplished quarterback when in all actuality until Matthew Stafford was partnering with a Hall of Fame level head coach and sha McVey I think his trajectory was very similar to Kyler Murray went to a franchise that was perennial you know basement dwellers for lack of a better term elevated took them to the Post season albe it his wild card team body got banged up and then eventually the team and the player parted waves with each other now thankfully for KY the Murray I think he gets retribution under Jonathan Ganon whereas Matthew Stafford had to leave town with Shawn McVey to have success like it wasn’t going to happen in Detroit everybody understood it you know Stafford like Kyler Murray got a big contract early in his career had great skill players but I think Matthew Stafford at the end of the day right now has the Baton he’s in top quarterback in this Division and then I would argue Kyler marray has a chance not only to unseed Brock pie but to challenge Matthew Stafford from a longevity standpoint because what do we say about Stafford year by year how is his body holding up is it deteriorating right he proved a lot of people wrong last year but at the same time that felt like an outlier this division for the top QB spot is up for grabs I don’t care who you are I think you’ve got two older players in Gino Smith and Matthew Stafford and then one player in particular in Brock pie that’s going to be saddled with carrying the roster eventually as contract extensions kick in that roster begins to deteriorate then you got old K1 number one whose team is saddled with the third most con or cap space in the NFL it’s young the talent is is on the rise no lofty contracts other than his own look back in this division about 18 months it could look dramatically different both absolutely and I think it’s a comparison that not a lot of people are making it but I I agree with it I think that the the Matthew Stafford early Matthew Stafford comp to the current Kyler Murray and then K1 finally receiving the infrastructure that Stafford certainly received in a trade out of Detroit to La um is I like it especially when you’ve got you know two former number one picks in the NFL draft and as talented as anybody in the league I mean CJ shroud this off season he’s saying if Matthew Stafford had a fair shot his entire career we’d be talking about him like Aaron roders you know you know crazy hyperboy like we don’t know like Stafford dealt with some injuries and stuff much like Kyler Murray did as well more so on the upper body than the lower body um and he obviously had a compliment as he mention of of skill players and Calvin Johnson and like for sports but this because of the he was a victim of the organization just not having the ability or or the the the vision to find consistent winning uh structure like they just and you’re seeing it like the the Rams are set up for that success and I think that Monty ort Jonathan Ganon are quickly setting the foundation and on the way in doing that for K K1 and Cruz so it it really is uh it is an interesting comp but I agree with it and then completely wholeheartedly agree with like the Arizona Cardinal something’s Brewing here in the desert it absolutely is and with that is opportunity with these budding skill position players in a quarterback entering his prime years and entering really with a good idea of how to run this offense going into his second season with Drew ping to take off like a rocket and maybe take claim to something that I I think a lot of people especially Nationwide counted him out for as being the best quarterback in the NFC West and I look at the Cardinals offensive trajectory with Kyler Murray and I look at the infrastructure as you just mentioned with the young skilled players it’s solid like use the fourth overall pick on a wide receiver generational not going anywhere in mhj Michael Wilson who is on everybody’s pop list started off by this show as the other outside Alpha receiver those two players as we’ve outlined in conjunction with Greg dorch making no money all of whom hopefully are around in 2025 2026 and Beyond and then OB by the way Trey McBride who’s do a contract extension like that group is solidified and then you think about every body nationally that’s yeah Cardinals offensive line it’s underwhelming it’s not great well people who are here locally know yeah it overachieved last year is actually very respectable what do we know about the offensive or excuse me the draft philosophy Monte Austin for he’s going to continue to invest in that unit when you think about okay you got Paris Johnson you took a guard in the third round here you’ve got yel def fro holds you’ve got will Hernandez and Jonah Williams next year in the first two rounds I would I would venture to say probably gon to add an offensive lineman single year you’re looking at a top 50 to 75 offensive linemen so you’re only doubling and tripling down on this unit like the I would say again this is what we compare to the entire offseason with these rankings the Cardinals and the hierarchy of their offensive skill players and their infrastructure really is only continuing to go up whereas under Steve K with Kyler Murray it had a shelf life because of dandre Hopkins and Zack Herz and AJ Green Rodney Harrison Rodney Hudson excuse me all these players that were aging that had played their best football elsewhere whereas yes Marvin and Michael and Trey they all have to continue to get better but man after what we’ve seen this far it’s like I’m willing to double down on those guys improving every year and so it’s like we ought to be able to look up at these lists every offseason and the Cardinals are going to rank higher and higher yeah they they should right it should uh they should make some noise and and make their case for you know being some of the top players at their position or within the top 10 and rise up those position rankings that’s you know so in Vogue right now you want to hear something disgusting and I know we’re going to get into the the 999 challenge later but July 1 and I opened up my browser and I got in on a PFF Mock Draft today I did three rounds I did I don’t hate that at all I’m proud of you were we picking in the 20s did you push us to the 20s no I mean can you can you switch it I mean they PFF you know like like their err early in the offseason with Jaden Daniels rank too low uh to where we could consistently get our sweet baby Marvin Harrison Jr at four uh because J Jaden Daniels ranked in the 20s uh they have the Cardinals picking seventh in this uh Mock Draft so whatever I took advantage of it uh I went corner with my top pick stayed in the in the Big 10 and love that yeah from Ohio State or one of Ohio State’s Rivals took Corner out of Michigan and then like our sweet guy our Chef Monty aome fort in the second round of course I’m trading down I’m trading down for some more picks and then end up taking an interior offensive lineman from Bama get help seek help uh listen positional value I like um little bit more front seven I think early on but I don’t hate it I don’t hate I got a premium position I got a corner you did positional value absolutely uh B disgusted Stak saying 2025 Mock Draft before 999 results is torture uh we couldn’t in good conscience lead with the 999 today for the newbies to the show for first of all welcome everybody we got we got almost 400 people watching the show on an offseason Monday we appreciate all of you just like us it’s great I love it so here’s the list that we alluded to earlier uh obviously the Cardinals firm in number two spot there with the NFC West I’m gonna tell you right now number one is sorely carried by Lamar Jackson and Joe burrow R Wilson is washed DeShaun Watson that’s the worst contract in Pro Sports I would argue On Any Given Sunday I would take three over one because it’s the momes factor I’m a big Herbert fan but man Zack Wilson bonx Garder mchu and Aiden oconnell it’s like you got two premium tires on your vehicle and then you’re using Hostess Cakes for the rest of it is absolutely brutal for the rest of that so I mean get give you know this this publication credit they they saw some value there at the top but man look at the look at the bottom people really want to clamor on Kyler Murray being behind Baker Mayfield look at the eighth rank division that being the NFC South what does that say about Derek and Bryce young oh yeah that’s that’s tough and I think I’ve got young if I’m ranking those quarterbacks in that division I’m probably going Captain Kirk Baker Bryce young Derek Carr at at the bottom but Bryce young still has a lot to prove after a really really uh underwhelming rookie season as the first overall pick but I I agree with you I mean like I was telling Damon this off air like I think the AFC North as you mentioned very topheavy and then if you’re GNA if you’re going to to give some leeway to being topheavy you absolutely do that in the AFC West where Patrick Mahomes you know and and like I know it’s all potential still for Jus Herbert but you know talent-wise you can’t really find two better quarterbacks that reside in in a single Division and then you might like the East is fine but also what do you notice here through the first the top four I guess quarterback divisions only ones in the NFC and it happens to be the west where the Cardinals play you know have to face you know teams six games a season yeah I man I I look at number seven I think is undervalue because I think so much of CJ I think Trevor Lawrence has a bounceback is is criminally under is undervalued in the NFC North I really like the quarterbacks in the NFC North you know with we we’ll see what happens in Minnesota but gof love you know what they’ve done lately and then Caleb Williams potential I mean those are you know I think three solid quarterbacks there and you can’t say that for most of these divisions I’m pretty surprised the NFC West is ranked as high as it is aren’t you like Stafford could be done any point Gino could be done at any point perie I think even his most you know tortured supporters would feel like he’s carried slightly by that team and then we know how people feel about Kyler Murray um with their constant spew of hate so I I’m surprised and I’m pleasantly surprised but I’ll I’ll tell you a division right now I think is going sideway say some on that I mean look across all these divisions in what which Division if you’re not going to say the NFC West can produce four quarterbacks that can throw for 30 touchdowns you think Gino Smith can throw for 30 touchdowns I he has hasn’t he I don’t think he got to 30 two years ago did he I’m almost positive he did is this live podcasting right now Gino Smith in 2022 he that’s he’s got 50 touchdown passes his last two seasons combined yeah but you’re saying 30 of that came two years ago I stand corrected that’s that’s one of the grossest stats I’ve ever heard my life gin Smith threw 30 touchdowns before Kyler Murray one more time let’s see that list D I’m gonna tell you that the division I’m selling the hardest moving forward um it’s the NFC East I think Dak Prescott commanding worth of $60 million gross Daniel Jones is going to be out of the NFL soon Jaden Daniels I do not have any hope for I’m going to tell you right now talking to my son over the weekend you know he’s playing with Jaden Daniels fantasy card and Madden 2024 he’s like Jaden Daniels is gonna be awesome and I just I just some I say I don’t I don’t see it the longer we get in what’s that were you a wet blanket to your son yeah I just said you know what the’re running around getting beat up in the pocket I started watching old tape of him at ASU I’m like I don’t think I’m seeing this in the NFL and then of course Jaylen herdz third offensive coordinator in three years I know he played well at the end of the last year went to Kansas City and won I’m fading this Division I think it goes back to a division that nine and eight 10 and seven wins and I think these quarterbacks we’re looking in a middling quarterback division to say at best I’m not buying any of these guys yeah I mean I Dak Prescott what he’s done statistically you you can be convinced and swayed maybe by the numbers but we know there’s there’s a ceiling there and then Jaylen Herz and I I think what he’s done statistically and and from a leadership standpoint you know give him a little some respect but some of those numbers are a little uh inflated because of a one-yard play is is that you know a testament of a really good quarterback but I mean it it’s those two guys they certainly have their cases to be made and then yeah an unknown in the second overall pick and then just a dumpster as far as what the Giants even their any of their options just are terrible all right um let’s see here before we get to our 99 and N breakdown here Mina kesb had the Cardinals what ranked in the uh NFL landscape did she not she did she got together with uh Ryan Clark ESPN and I believe it was on the me and times podcast where they uh they did kind of an impromptu Power Rankings and uh she she unveiled where she has the Arizona Cardinals um this was in our exclusive member Discord we’re all Ryan Clark right now where we see she where she put our sweet baby Cardinals at 23rd um but not the worst right I’m not going to be uh carrying water from me kimes but at the same time I no we will we will her Insight like this is this is better than we’ve seen you know from from most Outlets where they’ve got you know still slumming it in the bottom four of the NFL I mean she sees like just to this is to start yeah you know before you know training camp even begins as a team that’s 23rd with I’m sure upside well and she’s a Seahawk Homer and she’s got Seahawks 15th she’s got the Rams 14th uh and the 49 green sunglasses on watching Seahawks we love her for it like she she can do that it’s it’s allowed um but I she does have respect for this team and I think again if you’re ranking the Cardinals anywhere within the High Teens low 20s I don’t have a problem with that because again you go back to that list most of those teams that she’s got ranked ahead of the Cardinals reside in the AFC like it’s a two to it’s a twocc conference league and at the end of the day just like you can’t apologize if you play in the NFC South and the AFC South you can’t apologize if you play in the NFC I think the NFC is substantially weaker especially from a quarterback perspective I think if the Cardinals and I love the Cardinals if they were playing in the AFC this year I I think a lot of people would presume that they’re going to have the worst record in the NFL or one of them but they play in the NFC and they get to play teams in the NFC South and they get to play teams in the NFC east and in the NFC North with rookie quarterbacks like J.J McCarthy they’re going to take advantage of that the end all Beall for this team right now is how do they do against the NFC West it’s what we talk about it’s what we’re going to continue to harp on if Kyler Marine Jonathan Ganon can support a 500 record in their division they’re a playoff team if they come out and they go one and what is it one and eight or two- six or whatever it’s going to be exponentially more difficult my mass probably off there if they if they sport one or two wins in the division you’re going to be on the outside looking in so it’s how you compete against your peers we saw it last year the Cardinals won four games right they won four games for the second consecutive season they won none in the NFC West they were competitive against Seattle they were not competitive against the Rams in the 49ers that has to change you cannot expect any year to go into the season and expect yourself to be a postseason team or Contender while [ __ ] footing around in your own division like it never happens it’s hard enough to to secure a playoff spot as the third team but now you know a seventh seed there’s another wild card it can be done but for the Arizona Cardinals this year I I think they’re going to win plenty of games outside because I think they’re GNA have the superior head coach and quarterback how many times is that going to be the instance like I I believe Kyler Murray is better than Brock pie but Brock pie played better football last year large part because of his head coach it’s time to narrow that Gap then you’ll see people perk up and say well hang on a second we’re grading on a curve within the NFC West Cardinals go from 23rd to 14 or 13 or whatever it’ll jump quickly when you start knocking off the names Shanahan and McVey people will perk up well yeah I mean as far as the the pry debate goes like yeah he he’s his organization does better than almost any in the league and it pains me to say that to their position their their players in positions for Success including the quarterback spot right I mean they tried to do it with Trey Lance it was tremendous you know overdraft and and horrible deal and just uh embarrassment to the franchise and they ended up having to trade him to the Dallas Cowboys for pennies on the dollar uh but then you know they they hit on Mr Irrelevant Brock pie and he was able to come in and be an elite game manager which is it’s fantastic but what Jonathan Ganon Drew ping Monty o for included as far as roster construction of the offense um they they now need to put Kyler Murray in a position for success and and for him to complement that he needs to you know oblig by you know not only playing within the structure of the offense getting the ball into all the playmakers that he’s surrounded him his hands and and and operate the offense at a high level you know it it that’s just Uber important for him to be is as prepared as possible and everything coming out of the Cardinal facility is it it goes against you know what you know the narrative is around Kyler Murray I mean everybody’s saying how much work he’s putting in Michael Carter is saying he never leaves the facility and you know he’s asking all the right questions and and that’s the key you know to to understanding things understanding the why of what Drew ping wants to do offensively and it’s just it’s it’s encouraging to hear that and you know I think that Kyler Murray like it’s a stark difference between when he came in this league from 2019 through 2022 it was like okay this is the offense we’re going to run slap him on the ass go get them bud and like that’s how it was and it it was it was hey go out there and play superhero ball make us look good and you know Kyler Murray had the skill set to kind of uh help that and and get him to an 11- win season and a playoff birth but you know that there’s an expiration date on that like that that only works so far this is the this is the greatest collection of talent of any sports League especially if Football goes in the universe like and you can’t you know just rely on Talent alone and if you get the right correct you know recipe infrastructure for Kyler Murray like he does have the abilities to rise to the top a top the NFL or NFC West quarterback rankings I just feel like we’re all ready for some new blood in the NFC West I think nationally people are ready ready to associate the Cardinals with the new youth movement that they have and again no more thinking about Kim and Cliff sweet baby Damon dog and uh what transpired near the end of the game Bo Brock W I mean are you putting that on my shoulders because I was probably the most composed at the time the game hadn’t sped up you you guys here’s here’s what I’ll say Johnny and and Damon both fired out of the gates but with two different approaches right I think Damon was focused more on the beers while Johnny was just focused on anything right you were just trying to get both down garbage disposal yeah uh the minute the first pitch hit we had loaded up and I feel like Damon and Bo were taken in the sights we had great seats uh down the first Baseline espo was there Derek was there these guys were having fun no portion of Saturday was fun for me I was not looking to have fun I was not looking to engage I wasn’t making eye contact with anybody that was my Approach I didn’t want to talk to anybody and um I I will say it served me well everybody can have their own strategy and that’s great what works for you we’re not all 90 an hour you know sinkers or fast balls some of us have to throw the offs speed curve yeah you were throwing a lot of slop that day yeah lot of lot of stuff with some wrinkles in it but you came out of the gates you had the approach to get up early and so did all of us I think you guys all did and then where did you say things got the difficulty level went up uh I think by the time we hit the final stretch of the last three innings was difficult so full transparency I I made it through six Innings and that was my goal I told that on Friday show I said I’m gonna hit six uh my co-host and my producer said my over under was three and a half um I finished six Innings and more uh I finished the whole goddamn thing I’m the second co-host on this show to finish the 99 and9 challenge they saw witness to it nine brusis nine Hawk dogs for your boy minus 150 and then some I hope everybody teas that up because you’re probably driving around in a brand new Cadillac today I finished the 999 Challenge and um multiple witnesses to see this performance yeah it was uh I mean I I think that the large crowd there that was mainly there for the 999 challenge it might have been also for the the Marte bobblehead as well but mostly for the 99 challenge because they wanted to witness greatness and I I think they did Damon like correct me if I’m wrong there’s there’s a couple things that come into play here that this was reminiscent of this performance like there was like the Jordan flu game because he was he was he was not 100% once he started drinking and eating and then also like the Paul Pierce getting the uh the wheelchair off the floor after he did crap himself we did out not not Johnny but Paul Pierce yeah maybe like Willis Reed when he broke his leg in in the finals way back when so like a couple comps there for sure it was special for sure it was a special performance V Vince McMahon is crying it’s it he special yeah tell me about Johnny venerable during the 999 Challenge and he’s like it was special that was definitely one of the performances for the ages Johnny well I appreciate the support and listen I hadn’t eaten in roughly 20 hours that was on purpose it was not a good strategy but it was the one I stuck to I think it was a it was a bad strategy okay I had espo to my right who was supportive my co-host and my producer were not and espo told me today that he I mean he had a front row seat to you in your performance and he said that we wouldn’t believe some of the things that you were saying to him throughout the experience couldn’t couldn’t tell you what those were I was so lock yeah I mean you were going through like every stage of maybe being a little intoxicated just like oh I love you man and like just going through it all I don’t he might have had me confused with somebody else all I know the the hot dogs went down pretty smooth like wasn’t until I think we got a photo here in a little bit but it wasn’t until Innings 8 n were the hot dog became a little bit of a problem but every time I opened up the hot dog I was like oh yeah I can eat this a little bit of relish a little bit of ketchup it was it was the beverages the adult beverages that we were consuming so much so that Damon kind of I think purposely threw me off uh purchased a heavy Coors Light for us to start the event which we appreciate yeah yeah and um but again you know I I managed to switch to some some lighter options all legal all approved by the committee right um and that that allowed me to I mean he thought we were just down at like the Elks Lodge and we’re all just kind kind of shoot the breeze just have some conversations with some banquet beers and it’s like hey we’re we’re here to compete if I have nine of these these cor Heavies it’s gonna put me in in a tough spot it’s gonna put every single one of us in a tough spot so we had to switch the only other option was Bush light so that’s what we went with I don’t like the terminology CS heavy it doesn’t sit right with me because it’s just not it’s still a light beer it’s still on the lighter side of as far as beer goes that to be like a a non a full boded beer sure but like it’s it’s on the Lighter Side still it goes down of a full body goes down pretty easy still I haven’t we haven’t made this point yet and I think it’s important because again I am I’m doing a Victory lap of course I was doubted by my peers was doubted by my family um but I also want to give credit where credits do um I did not dominate Damon dog Damon dog like I did finished and he finished in the ninth inning congratulations to our produc he rallied he shoved a full hot dog in his mouth in a half inning and I saw it I se it and uh I’m proud of this group collectively as a unit we went in there and we finished 27 hot dogs and 27 bruskies in just under two and a half hours uh as a show I would put that against anybody at this company frankly I have a little bit of a bone to pick oh uh Zach gallon What’s your deal dog that was unbelievable one hit performance for Zack Allen in his debut back I mean what was the point of that what was the need for that Johnny the game went two hours and 10 minutes it was um gross as gross as it was to watch us do this the action on the field was even grosser it was really bad after the Athletics what put up a 10 spot the night before they come out and just take the day off it was like I was taking it bats up there um I needed that extra half inning I needed Maybe just two more hits by the Oakland Athletics throughout the game cuz that ninth hot dog was a real struggle he came back from a hamstring injury Zack gallon and then he it was one hit ball over six Innings it was like 77 pitches and 50 of them were strikes he was just he was just it was like he knew yeah it felt like he knew shout out to the double headers by section 111 they kept the dogs and the beer BL here’s one thing I didn’t expect to receive Flack four uh my Approach I raw doged each and every one of those dogs I can’t believe that no no condiments and people called me they said this this was crazy but I mean you’re adding like an extra 30 cows to each of your dogs with mustard ketchup and sweet relish I need to switch up the flavors yeah nine straight raw dogs is just an insane like that would make me feel so gross that’s that’s unbelievable you I forgot that that happened um now I yeah Bo was a machine give him credit where credits due he probably could have done more whereas Damon and I we we rallied in the ninth inning we both finished at the top of the ninth I told you the beer the beer was not going to be a problem for me I had my beer down by the eth it was that last dog it was a real struggle it really was I think we have a photo of the ninth inning myself Damon and Bo here uh there’s and he’s got a full hot dog in his hand I just shoved my last dog in my mouth and there’s uh Bo is just comfortably relaxing there uh that’s again watching Zack Gallen and Company completely demolish what’s left of the dou Oakland Athletics thanks a lot guys but uh we need to get that picture framed there sense the pain right there I mean Damon look at how much doggy has left I think this is with two outs of the ninth because that’s when I had because I’m firing up the phone there and and I’m shooting a video and there’s they were flying off the board quick yeah there was two outs in the ninth sea Wald was he was on top of his game to shut the door Johnny you can’t see it in here but he’s got about half of a Frank in his mouth like it’s uh like it’s some red man Chaw I was told get it in your mouth and it’s over so I just put it in there and then I be to began to feverishly taunt Damon that was my plan at that point I crossed the finish line I was in a position where I I felt like I was going to try to get in Damon’s head and give him credit where credits do he he blocked out the haters proud of you young man you did so was this what we were gonna get into Bo I I Johnny I went out later that night we we had a good old time oh yeah we made our way I got home so I I ate some food with my parents and I I got back home we did meet Mr and Mrs dog yes it was an honor Bo and Bo and Johnny met my family but my met my parents uh Johnny said Mrs frell I’m going to take that producer award away from your son I don’t remember that no you didn’t say that uh so yeah I my parents and I we went got some food I didn’t eat obviously and then I I come back home my roommate has people over and we’re going out so I put down another probably nine beers the rest of the night we had a good time that’s the 24 year old and you born in 199 yeah toy can attest to this too anthy toy met me out with his friends and uh I was pretty intoxicated uh again what you gotta you gotta do what you got to do Damon we’re proud of you proud of the show I feel like anybody uh and you guys can give your testimonials in the chat anybody that was part of the Discord that got to see the raw uncut footage and it it started about 10: am that morning it went until the Wii hours video graphics updates uh it’s about I mean it’s As Good As It Gets from a Die Hard perspective in or out of the Season bow yeah it was uh it was a fun day start to finish some of the graphics look better than others some you could tell were more well versed in Photoshop and then the other two were just a couple just a couple like caveman trying to operate a smartphone and update graphics on the fly but uh yeah just and and big thank you to Derek M montia and uh and espo for the support and everybody that that stopped by our section and said hi it was awesome uh and a bunch of people stopped by said they listen to the podcast they’re they were uh trying to Rally you guys at that point um and and it got the job done uh what wasn’t seen in the Discord actually we had a uh Victory ceremony a small intimate ceremony after the game was over I think we’ve got a a Ste clip from that Damon dog uh that myself and Bo and Damon were invited to as it relates to the 99 in9 challenge here so again there’s Bo and I and Damon receiving our honorary medals by those in attendance again this was a private party private invitation that we were allowed to partake in and uh you know it just felt good this is what it you know as difficult as that challenge was standing up there receiving my medals in front of the Rebel Alliance made it all worthwhile I just gonna ask it’s the Rebellion right is that what’s going on behind us yes correct truly was to stand up there with you guys proudly you know didn’t expect to be up in and and be joined by YouTu but I was and to see how you got it done couldn’t have been more proud of you for digging deep reaching and and kind of picking your your soul up by the bootstraps when I was on that eighth hot dog or when I finished eight hot dogs and I had that ninth one left I remember vividly did you see the afterlife I remember vividly saying on this show if I’m if you’re at eight and you can’t get nine down you’re a failure I think I said something and so I I had to dig deep yeah I didn’t want to but I had to dig deep that was that was a true Testament to the character of the Pod that even Johnny had you know these low goals you know beat three and a half the disrespect shed that right changed that narrative then he set his own low ball goal of six but then once he saw those dogs and those beers in front of him he knew that he couldn’t stop until he got to the end well I’ll give credit what I really appr what’s that you you were the one who said because I was like I’m just gonna go Ending by ending here and I’m just GNA go and get one per ending and you go you might as well get all of it now and put it in front of you and then that way you can at least see the finish line and I’ll tell you what man visualize man it was the strategy that got it done because once I had the final two innings ahead of me and I’m like all right I I have a finite amount of time to get this done that’s what it was about it was just like I’m not gonna I’m not leaving this Stadium as a failure I’m not taking a because again had we come on this show today and you and Damon finish and I get through seven and a half yeah like even though I was shooting for six and the slander was three and a half I still would have taken the L in a weird way I would have been graded on a curve so this just there was no way we weren’t coming home with that dub Legacy performance from Johnny it well it was it was a it was a Redemption and tour and he finally got it done his legacy was on the line I don’t think I mean look he had the two-handed Chug was just embarrassing uh even more so our night out at St Elmos just I mean what do you how do you how do you come back from that and this is this is really the only Road to Redemption I thought about that a lot I had time to prepare and again I emphasized last week and I stand by this like this was an endurance race this was not chugging contest this was not 30 seconds to one minute gave me a better opportunity to be able to formulate a strategy again this is not a dog and pony show this isn’t the circus this wasn’t a gimmick this is who’s ready to stand up for over the course of two and a half hours manhood on the line I feel like I did that and again put I want to thank everybody that was supportive to me in the chat there were not many but there were many more than in my own household my own family my own you know my own blood in this household so uh you know I just would assume that challenge would be led by Saul and espo who would be their third and could their third finish the event Eric and Gerald I think both could they can put away some food but I mean to have that Renaissance year where we’re talking about not his health but his play in December and January I think Kyler Murray would say the same thing so the biggest compliment I can get Brock pie After Jimmy Garoppolo was in and out of the lineup is he’s always there for the Niners every single football Sunday and makes himself available he came back from that gruesome elbow injury so again like kyli Murray is is a more talented quarterback than Brock pie better physical traits but if if Kye Murray doesn’t complete this year healthy and Brock p goes deep into the playoffs again like you gotta you know call spade a spade you got to give him credit for that yeah I I think that Kyler Murray obviously there was a a big emphasis on him making plays with his legs to uh kind of make up for some offensive inefficiencies in the previous system now I think it’s it’s more set up like Kyler uh if things break down and I think they’ve got some good design schemes as well but like he’s he’s probably gonna run five to six times instead of like eight to nine times and the wear and tear across a 17 Game season uh I mean it’s it’s going to be a big difference and like you think about the the leg injuries that he sustained obviously he had the non contact ACL what are you going to do about that and the uh the ankle that he suffered in the final moments against Green Bay in 2021 and then he had a hamstring issue that just kind of lingered um it’s it’s just you know I think that the strength and conditioning program and and people around the oper the staff for the Cardinals are in a better spot these days too so every they’re putting all their players not just Kyler Murray in a position to be as healthy as possible and and and face the long haul that is 17 game NFL season Alex
