hello hello hello you’re turning into another episode of th show today’s second topic Ryan Clark decides what the best NFL teams are look so Mina KH has her own show or her own podcast and of course she invited Ryan Clark on there to speak with her and they were talking about the best teams in the NFL now this list is very subjective to say the least but Ryan Clark’s opinion is usually respected amongst NFL circles so I heard it and I was going to play it and after I’m done playing I’mma tell you where they ranked so I’m GNA give the reason why they put the rivens where they put them then I’m G tell you who came before them all right so without further Ado I’m let them talk about the Ravens that we’re GNA break it down all right so let’s get this party started like when I love the way that you’re doing this because it kind of lets you filter filter through the teams but I’m taking the Ravens over the Packers because what we do know is that Lamar Jackson especially so far if we’re talking the regular season he’s probably one of I would say he’s one of the best regular season quarterbacks already that’s ever live right the the sort of matchup problem he is the way that we saw him rise to every big game occasion last year think about you know Detroit goes there they get blown out Seattle goes there they get blown out San Francisco Monday night in Santa Clara they go blow them out now fact and I think people aren’t talking about this enough and I love that you mentioned Mike McDonald earlier he’s not just he wasn’t just a defensive play caller the thing coach leau did better than anybody I’ve ever been around was Troy this is what you’re good at Troy this is what you’re going to do yeah James Harrison this is what you’re good at this is what you’re going to do you got think of Kyle Hamilton this is what you’re good at this is what you’re gonna do Jan County same thing right ran Smith same thing Patrick Queen same thing Justin same thing so from a a play calling stand Point can or duplicate what we saw Mike McDonald do and I don’t think is just as easy as Plug and Play Because play calling is as much of an art as it is a science and you got to feel art right it has to it has to flow for you and we don’t necessarily know at this moment if that’ll be happening right away for the Ravens but I still think that they’re a team that belongs over the Packers but they fall for me because because of course he said they fall because of the players that have left right now I want to tell you this real quick before we go any further because I want to make sure that you know r i want you to see the or know the other teams so the teams over them were the Chiefs Niners Lions and the Lions and the Texans all right so they had four teams they had four teams over the Ravens you understand where I’m coming from those four here’s my thing with this I want to make sure that my point is clear on this because I’m not hating at all right because I don’t believe the Ravens have the best um what’s it called um unit or team overall in the NFL I do not I think in certain important positions the Ravens Reign that’s what takes them to you know higher Heights right Kyle Hamilton and roquan are two of the top in their respective fields in the entire NFL we’re talking about safeties Kyle Hamilton’s already top three top two in the entire NFL same thing is said about Ro Quan Smith now Lamar Jackson right he is the force multiplier because of the matchup problems that he causes right it allows the Ravens to attack teams in a multitude of ways and get more out of poultry players and other teams would probably get out of those same players simply because a lot of times everything is dictated usually because or how Lamar Jackson’s lined up how he’s looking what what they’re trying to do to slow him down down so stuff like that so other guys get more opportunities because of Lamar Jackson that’s a fact we can’t argue it now when it when I brought up these four teams right Chiefs Niners Lions Texans right there is no way I should hear any any Raven fans trying to tell me that the Ravens have a better or more Talent on their rosters than the Texans Lions Niners or chiefs it it’s just not feasible now you might be able to argue the Chiefs but once again people are going to say well what how much do you weigh on Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid because that’s what the team is a team is everything team is coaching team is special teams defense offense strength and conditioning that’s the team the Ravens have had a lot of Achilles heel at a lot of different places on the team and still have won a lot of games these other guys they have just had just like shots of Talent shot right through their arms and amazing coaching Dan Campbell has proved to be an amazing coach I told y’all from what two years ago I was like I like Dan Campbell bro I like Dan Campbell big time I said I like them I was on Twitter saying that some people was like ah you you buying into much I’m like I’m not buying into the hype bro I think there’s he has that it Factor some coaches can just turn a spark into an inferno and he seems to be one of those those guys and I think if I’m looking at the head coaches I’m probably taking at least three out of those four over John Harbaugh so that’s there it goes there too you know what I mean offensive lines I’m taking all four over the Ravens uh running back rooms I’m only I want to take none of of the Ravens I like d Henry I’ve been W of dere Henry and same thing with the tight end room uh yeah tight end room I mean overall the tight end room I would say is the Ravens but we’re talking about best tight ends um there’s there’s two that we’re we’re the best out of this five we’re thirdd quarterbacks we’re second of course defense I would say we’re second out of these five so the Ravens are going to be high up on all these people’s list the problem I’m gonna have is not just uh the defense the the missing coordinators the defensive Star Wars that have left but the biggest Achilles he and I keep hammering this home is that offensive line listen when I read in between the lines the people talk I’ve always been like that I can’t help it my listen my my parents used to hate it when I was younger because I pick up on things quick my teachers hated it like they I’m telling you when you talk about the offensive line regardless if it’s mini camp training camp whatever else it is when you when it comes out your mouth that you’re trying these guys out in all different positions to see you know where their strengths are that means you don’t have definitive linen at any of the positions probably outside of left tackle and center of course can you know who going to play those right and that’s a problem to me big problem because at the end of the day everything starts from the offensive line I know they’re not the flashy people never bring them up on highlights and stuff like that I believe teams are built from the center out you understand where I’m coming from that’s just the way I’ve always believed football to be uhhhh perpetuated and and look I get it QB is the most important position whatever else it is but that o line if you don’t have a good o line that QB can’t drop back and pass effectively if if if they if that online is not good they can’t run effectively the play calling changes based on you know what the online can’t stand up for and stand and stand against it changes everything about the game if the offensive line can not pick up its slack think about it if the quarterback’s playing bad then you start shortening the passes start giving the ball more to the running back same thing with the running back you can start giving it to the quarterback but with offensive line everything goes through them they’re messing up everything messes up so I would have actually had I actually expected them to pick the Ravens much lower the reason why and so many people keep bringing this out is because of Lamar Jackson just like what Ryan Clark said like look Lamar Lamar is the best one of the best regular season quarterbacks we’ve ever seen but that’s a problem with me even him saying that why because just like all the other teams you bring up coaching you bring up multiple players with the Ravens you’re like oh Lamar you know the defense is great but it’s Lamar Lamar’s throwing running they’re not great in the receiving C but Lamar look I like Lamar I really do I don’t think it should be so Lamar Centric this is coming from a guy that fully defends Lamar you know what I’m saying because I I respect him and I like I like him as a person and just as much as a football player um but I’m being real like we can’t be so Lamar Centric it it these teams are built better than the Ravens the exciting factors we have a better QB than them that’s why we keep winning and I keep trying to tell people that every time the year starts out we’re usually lower on these lists people are giving Lamar more like okay bro because he’s a two-time MVP now which holds a lot of credence and weight and historical value of the NFL that’s fact you can’t even argue it but outside of that guy wearing number eight we have a a lot of work to do a lot the offensive line with all the holes how is Trent Simpson going to play how is Zack or going to call plays is Marcus uh Williams GNA stay healthy you know what I’m saying how well are we going to do without Javan clowny on the line is always going to have a breakout season jao going to stay healthy is manab going to repeat his success like there’s so many questions just I just wish that when people bring up the Ravens it’s more than just Lamar now I get it some people like oh it is more than Lamar you just see Lamar there’s ran and stuff like that we’re not talking about defense talking about the team in the ho you know it’s bringing up people usually because at the end of the day no matter what it is it’s about putting points on the board defense is extremely important you got to be able to make timely stops slow down the other team but if you’re not scoring you’re not winning I don’t care how good your defense is that’s fact that was the biggest problem with the Browns last year right so you know do am I mad where the Ravens are no I was just actually expecting them to be lower based on you know there’s there’s more teams probably out there that when you just look at sheer Talent have more than the Ravens but hey I’m happy with where they were it’s okay I the end of the year they’re going to say we have the best roster because we’re probably going to be in the one or two spot in the AFC and then they’re going to be like oh well you know it’s it’s it’s boom or bus Super Bowl at this point it pretty much is true I’m not going to lie even though I don’t like that it is it it is what it is it’s Boomer bus we’re going for Super Bowls or nothing at all like and Lamar and then would all say the same thing yeah but what do you guys think do you agree with that list that they said the best teams in the NFL or are you looking at it more saying the could
