New York Jets’ Logo Creator Sues Team, NFL, Wants Payment For Design

I would like to sue the Jets for subjecting me to the God-awful logo we had to look at the last 5 seasons.

So he did the design work under employment of the team? He has no case.
Going to be hard to show you designed it outside of your scope of work with the team over 40 years ago.
If he did they owe him serious bank.
Sounds like a lawyer/family got in his ear. He did design it outside his official scope of his employment with the Jets. Where I think he will struggle in court is he’s never attempted to make legal claim of it in over 40 years. That’s likely going to kill his case.

This seems like a very Jets thing to happen . . .
As soon as I saw the “new” logo I wondered if this would happen.
Instead of wasting millions in lawyers fees to fight this in court the Jets should just give him a lump sum payment or a penny for every item sold with the new logo…shit a half a penny. They’d save money in the long run even if he doesn’t have a case.
He played bass for Frank Zappa!!!
It’s a god damn logo. You don’t pay a lot of money for that. I don’t care if it’s for an nfl team or a logo for a tiny small business. This is just a money grab
