🔴LIVE MLB🔴Chicago Cubs VS Milwaukee Brewers /June 29/MLB EN VIVO/MLB THE SHOW 2024

and me the show with a good one coming at you it’s the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers with Chris Singleton I’m John shami singy today of course will be treated to the sausage race and some really good baseball yeah these fans love their Brewers and I love the way they run the show here in Milwaukee I mean the fans are into it they bring it just about every home game and there’s a lot of fun tradition carried on in this ballpark as you mentioned and we’ll be back with the first pitch right after this just about set to go now and today on the hill Freddy Peralta try to stay back for that power change up speed differential between the fast ball and the change up is huge hitters they have a hard time staying back all right ready to go here there’s nio Horner [Music] the pitch out in front and foul to the left side and the righty deals and a little foul ball down that Third Base Line the 02 that’s foul off to the right side keeps the ab going and he deals can’t connect on the curve ball struck him out really good hard bite to that breaking ball for the strikeout right there I mean he was able to bury it down below the zone and that’s throwing the pitch with conviction good thing for the pitcher he’s not going to miss in the zone and that’s where you get hurt excellent execution with two strikes that could be a big weapon for him in this start and the batter now say is Suzuki that Clips the corner this is a hitter who takes his game to another level playing at [Applause] night swings and misses oh and two [Applause] now and that one upstairs pretty standard High 02 fastball right there if you’re smart he’ll look for something down in the zone but not too far they want to chase that breaking ball in the dirt slider got him for strike three oh that slider was way out of the zone and for me it just comes down to not seeing the pitch out of the hand not tracking it into the zone and then also being a little bit anxious not confident in your two- strike approach and so when a guy’s in that position you get him to commit early and a lot of times you get the swing and Miss as you did right there two outs a no ball two [Music] [Applause] St pitch misses there and the count one and two O2 fast ball way out of the Zone I think he’s trying to speed him up got to stay back off speed’s probably coming got him strikes out the side to begin the game what a start impeccable command in that one three batter first three strikeouts that’s electric stuff out there on the mound and we’re back pitching for the Cubs in this one Justin steel well that 12 to six curve ball explodes out of the hand and because he’s able to throw the high fast ball at the top of the strike zone for a strike hitters commit to that pitch and before they know it they’re swinging over the top of that curveball now the left fielder Christian Yelich the left field CH here comes a pitch gets the outside corner with that one steel a former Allstar he features a four seam fast ball a slider a sinker a curve and he works in a change up next offering is in for a strike quickly into an 02 count both pitches were down in the zone I think you set your sights a little bit higher because you’ll have a tendency to chase if you look down in that area off the plate inside and it’s one and two it’s a good take and downstairs left hand batter Waits and now the count filled up three and two really good take especially with two strikes fouled off again and it remains three and two look out that ball was smoked man I am so relieved that they have this netting down the lines just ensure safety for the fans last thing is a player you want to look up and see a fan get hit that could be a tone Setter for the inning four straight pitches and a leadoff batters on base we’ll see if the next Guy waits until there’s a called strike before he takes the bat off the shoulder and now it’s William contras pitch out but no action and a pitch and that one off the outside edge RI to Third and caught take a look at the lineup and the key to victory for them here get their starter some run support early Bo if they can get him that run support early it’s likely the other team folds because they know how dominant he can be once he gets settled in so put pressure on that other team right away jump out to a lead early and a few runs is going to feel like 30 s freen stands in now and watches Strike One Snap throw to first Yelich Dives back in Yelich over at first with one away good eye right [Applause] there the one- one is fouled off he’s getting the barrel to the balls just got to work on that timing a little bit and that’s downstairs and outside goes down looking and the batter now is reys Hoskins that’s off the mark and that’s ball one and the pitch highfly ball out towards left field half ranging back on it it has the distance gone and they grab the lead it’s two nothing he’s so good at getting his arms extended and that’s exactly what he did right there you don’t typically want to pull a pitch in that part of the plate but he doesn’t allow his risk to roll over stays through the ball gets the LOF and gets the home run so two away with nobody on Willie Damas stands in swinging a miss going one one count two out space is empty that’s a bullet but it goes foul and now the Lefty missed with a change up going to count one and two recognize that change up right out of the hand just spit on it ground ball up the middle oh he gloves it to his knee the throw they get the out and that’ll do it this guy’s anticipation is off the charts don’t see many Short Stops better than that great job to complete the play and end the inning back here at American Family field second inning set to go here’s the veteran outfielder Cody Bellinger Peralta back to work and that’s off the Inside Edge and it’s w to know gets the slider in there for a strike Ed Drummond behind the plate calling balls and strikes maybe one of the most respected umpires around the league he’s not the kind of umpire that you’re likely to know notice back there and that can be a huge compliment really so if you’re just kind of quietly doing your job stay swing and this one’s blasted it’s got a chance on the warning track and holds it [Applause] in Dansby Swanson stands in you talk about Elite defensive players especially in the middle of the diamond and this guy is at the top of the list in there for a strike at the top of the Zone yeah we go beyond just the you know Fielding percentage and you know what it looks like but the ability now this ball is well hit this one’s got a chance and caught on the warning track two outs Bas is empty digging in Christopher Morell Outfield playing very deep not wanting anything over their heads and the first pitch misses for ball one that one missing inside next offering is in for a strike and this guy’s got a great feel for his breaking ball today and that one is inside two down nobody on inside three and two the count just a really nice slider down and in there he wants to get the hitter Thinking Fast Ball speed him up and just subtract some velocity and add a little movement swing and a miss struck him out and good work there as he gets a one two three Cubs are down quietly they Trail things here to nothing and welcome back to the ballpark we head to the bottom of the second now here is Owen Miller as he turns on the rubber with that good live arm delivers bottom of the zone and a called strike that one catches the corner for a strike all right now he may have not liked either of those first two pitches or agreed with the umpire’s calls but at this point he’s going to have to bear down and be ready to hit anything close to the Zone next offering upstairs struck him out without a swing clip the bottom of the Zone with a curve for strike three here’s Jack centurio not only is a young singy he’s the first player born in 2004 to reach the major leagues Woo is that supposed to make us feel good about ourselves no kicks andial live Drive nice grab that ball was ticketed for right center field all the way but not so fast the second baseman says leaps up into the air and brings it down some nice hang time as well when he was up there this is Bryce terang strike on the inside corner two outs just off the outside edge and now it’s even one and one in the air left field down the line nobody can get there and it’s a foul ball the onew comes up empty as he chases that one in the dirt in time the two3 strikeout ends the inning after two it’s a two nothing ball game back here in Milwaukee all set for the start of the inning now it’s Yan Gomes goms measures six feet two in hitting seventh in today’s lineup and he was a 10th round pick back in 2009 next offering is down low his understanding of the strike zone very impressive that was a very close O2 fast ball I just don’t know how you take that caught him looking for the K well just couldn’t pull the trigger on the fast ball right there and I don’t think he was taking it thinking it might be a called ball or anything I just think he was flat out frozen did not expect that location in my opinion Michael Bush batting with one down takes a strike swings through the f fast ball up in the zone through that fast ball right by him slightly elevated that’s a confidence boost oh this pitch rides in too far that got him he had two strikes on him and he hit him one gone runner at first here’s Nick madreal breaking ball inside ball one just missed the Cubbies trailing by two we’re here in the top half of inning number three that one out to right fre has a beat on it nabs it and there two down back to the Le off spot in the Cubs lineup here’s the second baseman Nico Herer he’s over for one right through there for his strike all impressed that he went right after him on that first pitch that’s the key try to get ahead in the count then you can play around a little bit more as it it bat expands two outs outside and and a count even one and one here’s a high Chopper Adamas On The Run sends it over to First and that will end the inning Cubs leave one they Trail it here two nothing as we go to the last of the third and now Andrew monasterio ha want to kick the pitch foul back ourway and that’s out of play and that one in the air center field sizes this one up puts it away for the out and there’s one away now bat Le here’s Yelich at the dish he walked and came around to score his first time up and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter wow that’s 89 on the gun and it’s a change up it’s like good hitting if you’re looking for it but because of the speed differential between the fast and that pitch really hard for a hitter to get on time with it swing in a Miss ugly swing right there a pitch started in and ended up on the outside edge just changing planes and very difficult especially for a left-handed hitter to track Bellinger drifts towards it he’s got it and there’s two away now batting catcher William two outs space is empty William contras up now for the Brewers 0 for one so far check swing no appeal ball one sharp grounder that’s through for a base hit and with the inning still alive here comes the heart of the order he was all over that one once you get the ball by the pitcher there’s a a lot of base hits up the middle even on ground ball so a nice job to use that big hole and get himself a hit next for the Brewers s Frey he was a strikeout victim his first time that’s in there it’s 0 and one one’s the count [Applause] just missed oh he’s really working him away this at bat sometimes take a little bit off velocity try to get a roll over something on the ground stay away from that big hole on the right side of the infield and a pitch so a foul ball makes it one and two The Pitch Out to short they take the force out that’s the third out in over Brewers strand one but they hold a two- nothing lead and we’re back as we go to the top of the fourth so up now for Chicago SE Suzuki and the right hter back to work just missed [Music] and that’s off the Inside Edge and now two and0 and the rander deals swinging a foul over the screen and back out of [Applause] play swings through the fast B up in the [Applause] zone in the dirt three and two now now in this three ball count down in the ball game you’ve got to be very selective take your walk if they’ll give it to you check swing and a 3-2 appeal down to First no swing he held up CED Washington with the call there now a great back and forth and that it bad he had to lay off some really close pitches and somehow Boogie found a way to keep the bat on his shoulder right there I’ll tell you right now I couldn’t have done it swing and a popup foul territory for The Catcher And there’s one down boy that was a hanging breaking ball right there I think he tried to do a little bit too much sometimes those eyes can get really big I think his swing broke down as well and that’s what caused him to pop it up one down here comes Cody Bellinger you have to be careful throwing and breaking pitches even in an o0 count he loves going after the offs speed stuff and he’s really good at hitting it right through there for a strike man it first one away oh and two now popped up terang settles under this one brings it in and there’s two [Applause] away Dan B Swanson the next cup to hit 0 for one with a fly out to Center Swanson former first round pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks vanderbelt player in college College World Series player all that good stuff but really coming into his own just off the Inside Edge right side hard hit whips it to First and the inning is over one left for the Cubs they’re still down it’s two zip back here at American Family field ready to go bottom four and now the first baseman Bree Hoskins steel back to work that’s outside and that is ball one well these Brewers doing a great job boo of just waiting for the right pitch to come their way and I’m seeing very oh now this is blasted way back there on its way gone another Homer his second home run of the game it’s three nothing [Applause] that’s the exact definition of hitting the ball where it’s pitched taking that outside fast ball and driving it the opposite way out of the ballp punk you want to bottle that type of approach next for Milwaukee Willie Adamas missed with a change up and that’s ball one still relatively early but with a pair of runs already on the board the ripple effect of that high pitch count might set him up to do more damage later in this game and here it comes the short stop takes a ball [Applause] and a swing and a line drive at a right field and out number one on the grab not fooled at all right there he was clearly all over it but sometimes you hit it too hard and right at someone you’re looking for one of those bloop hits to get a knock sometimes line to Second snagged on the bounce in time to Bush that’s out number two now the Rio and now the center fielder Jackson Chio he’s over for [Applause] one first pitch and he just [Applause] misses and another ball one run across in the frame so far we’re here in the bottom of the fourth that one spoiled and the count now two and one the line and the pitch and it’s even up [Applause] two down nobody on this is off the inside three and two now that’s a really good take right there slider down and in very difficult to get on the same plane and do anything with and that’s ball for it’s been a little bit of a shaky inning but he’s still in a good spot to get out of this thing without giving up any more runs he’s just got to turn the page and go after this next [Applause] guy Terrain in the box with two gone and takes a look at a called strike sang at a Fly ball in the air out towards right center field makes the catch inning over but the solo shot stretches their lead even further it’s now 3 nothing you’re dialed into the show ready now for the fifth inning now it’s the DH Christopher Morell you talk about the power and the speed together well we knew he was going to be a stud just coming up making his way through the minor leagues and quickly at this level an impact player you know these Cubs just haven’t produced as many competitive at bats as I’d like to see in this one they really haven’t worked many deep counts or long at bats and that’s fine if you’re having a lot of success but at this point I think it’s time to make an adjustment and that one missing low last couple of pitches breaking balls away I think he’s going to have to come firm inside to be able to open up that location if he wants to go back there later in this count would chase that time here’s an opportunity to do some damage and perhaps unlock this offense 3-1 count be ready to turn on a fast ball swing and a miss and it’s a full count now man he was really Tardy on that fast ball great job of setting him up by throwing the curveball add some velocity to it on the next pitch can’t catch up foul ball and it remains a full count spoils the two- strike pitch and he’ll see another and he walked him it wasn’t easy but he earned that walk after a long at bat well that’s a nice job of grinding out that at bat saw a lot of pitches and ends up drawing the walk very gritty man at first now the Cubs catcher Jan gos [Applause] wouldn’t chase that time the Cubs hitless so far in the game gos tries to hold up appeal to First no swing the pitch now there’s a pitch we haven’t seen in a while it’s going to be tough on the hitters if he can mix that in whenever he wants and foul ball the Brewers leading by three and we’re at the top of the fif on the ground could be two fires over to Hoskins awesome play there well he’s doing a nice job of keeping the ball out of the air lets the defense work behind him with another ground ball good execution and here’s the first baseman Michael bus ground ball left side and that’s just foul Morel leads off second with one gone in the inning F off [Applause] foul swing in a Miss struck him out two away stood absolutely no chance on that slider right there and I don’t mean to laugh but that’s a tough one I mean pretty much a perfect strikeout pitch I mean it looks like a fast ball middle end kind of has cutter action and it just bunches you off to whereas you can’t get your hands through and the barrel to it and not much what you can do unless you recognize the spin early and you spit on it now a chance for Nick mrigal a little bit high and it’s want to know runner at second two down right through there for a strike [Applause] the pitch got him picks up strike out number seven he’s through five without allowing a hit it’s the Brewers three and the Cubs nothing and welcome back to the ballpark we head to the bottom of the fifth now the third baseman Andrew monio the Lefty fires that’s down and in well he’s so great about hitting the ball the other way gets those arms extended so right there just trying to straighten him up a little bit so he doesn’t have his is much outside plate coverage the wind of the pitch so a foul ball makes it one and two look out that ball was smoked man I am so relieved that they have this netting down the lines just ensure safety for the fans last thing is a player you want to look up and see a fan get hit kicks and fires Off the Mark there and it’s three and two he missed the zone but I don’t think he missed his spot that was a good pitch with two strikes fouled off again and it remains three and two the wine of the pitch bounce to the right and he takes it himself for the out and now it’s Christian Yelich [Applause] first pitch misses Bas is empty one away last half of inning number five that one finds the zone and the count one and one hit on the ground to the right side finds his way through base hit so man aboard now with one [Applause] away William contras getting ready to hit one for [Applause] two right through there for a strike Yelich goes there’s a ball safe it’s second and he easily steals the bag and a one one check swing and that’s a ball movement in the Cubs bullpen Mark lighter Jr getting ready to go number 43 getting loose as [Applause] well the 2-1 fouled off he was [Applause] late hard hit left field base hit into third now so Runners at the corners and one out well he wasn’t afraid to hit with two strikes I think he choked up a little bit maybe spread out but he got the job done right there Runners on the corners with one gone up now for Milwaukee s Frey inside corner and that’s called a strike [Applause] there’s a strike big pitch right here he’s going to try to make a pitch that’s going to produce a strike out or a ground ball double play gets a piece there we’ll do it again Lefty out of the stretch Runners at first and third gets a piece and it stays 0 and two got him swinging for the strike out couldn’t hit the fast ball at the knees he’s really good hitting the baseball the other way so credit the pitcher for having him out in front of that pitch clearly he had him fool and it’s reys Hoskins up to the dish and that’s in there at the knees smash to Center way back and you can forget it home run and he’s gone yard again that’s his third home run of the game and they tack on three it’s six nothing singy the ball is jumping off his Bat yes it is is tons of loud contact man it’s been [Applause] impressive he’s putting on quite the show at the dish here in this one and he’s just so locked in with this swing and he’s just not missing right now three Homer game man it’s so special and I tell you what it’s a lot of fun watching him pull it off as well here comes the skipper and we’re going to see a pitching change in this spot Justin steel is done and the Home Run really bit him today as he exits on the hook for the loss new Arm coming on after the break new arm out of the bullpen Drew Smiley still pretty early in the ball game so this Bullpen has some work ahead of him best case scenario might be if he can come in here and get several quick outs kind of bridge the gap that starter left for him next to hit Willie Adamas swing and a miss strike one one that misses the Zone one and one [Applause] two outs and a swing and a miss third out and that ends the frame the Brewers add three on this blast it’s now a 6 nothing ball game Major League Baseball is on the show back here in Milwaukee all right we go to the top half of inning number six now it’s the second baseman Nico Herer the pitch well every pitcher wants run support and having a lead is nice but it can be challenging for some pitchers I think keeping the mindset to attack instead of trying to be too fine and have too much finesse go after hitters and get quick outs and one and two and another ball well he might have to look for a different putaway pitch right here two two he’s already seen the curveball couple of times in this at bat so might have it timed up and ready for it wouldn’t chase that time swing and that ball smashed on the line and he makes the catch and there’s one down seya Suzuki the next CB to hit Suzuki goes 5′ 11 in 180 lb and he was born in Japan next offering is in for a strike just [Applause] missed and a pitch that one hammered center field Cho going back and brings it in at the wall two outs Bas is empty in half up to [Applause] hit that’s in there strike one two down nobody on and we’re the top half of the sixth and a good eye there good eye on that spot swing and a miss and he was fooled well and those hitters count sometimes can be a little too aggressive and a good pitcher will play off of that he’s got to get a better pitch to hit next offering upstairs Cody Bellinger OD deck for the Cubs in danger of losing the no hitter here and it’s Ball Four he missed down low one of the things about that two out walk the base runner over at first base is going to have a very aggressive secondary lead so ball down the line or into the Gap will produce a two out RBI and those are the best that is if you are the offensive side of it and a foul ball half the runner at first with two gone [Applause] and that skips into dirt Swang in a Miss as he was out front that time fights that one away still one and two leftand hitter Waits fouls it off still one and two really great change of speeds he goes off the off speed to the fast ball and the hitter doesn’t know what’s coming next two outs and a swing to miss down on strikes third out Cubs leave one they still find themselves down six zip Owen Miller up now for the [Music] Brewers the pitch swing and a ground ball the middle that’s a base hit man aboard on the leadoff [Applause] single Jackson Chio up now for the [Applause] Brewers first pitch and that’s in for a strike well these Brewers showing great discipline at the plate and patience definitely seems to be the name of their game in this one the numbers say their Chase rate or swings at is outside the zone is under 25% and I think that’s a big reason why they’re scoring runs oh he doesn’t get the call and one and one by not chasing out of the Zone they’re getting good pitches to hit when you can do that you have a much better chance to squore up the baseball and do damage like they have so far nice curveball for a strike bounce the up the middle sneaks through base head lead Runner makes the turn at second and now Runners at the corners nobody out just kept it simple played Pepper with the middle of the infield and took it back where it came from and there’s just no one there to knock it down so they’re at the corners now and stepping in is the Speedy Bryce Teran and a foul ball left [Applause] side and the pitch and that’s outside and it’s one and one [Applause] leftand batter waights great spot to be in right here for the pitcher you can either strike this guy out or get a ground ball double play Runners at the corners nobody out here in the bottom of the six [Applause] just a weak Fly ball this time that’s a base hit as a run scores that’s three singles in a row he clearly didn’t catch that one on the big part of the bat just kind of muscled it out there and you know on the mound it can be pretty frustrating for a pitcher but you just kind of have to expect those to drop in there sometimes next for the Brewers Andrew monasterio [Applause] that’s a strike across the top of the [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Zone ground ball left side could be two there’s one on to Bush it’s a double play that was a much needed double play right there gives him a really good shot at minimizing any further damage in this inning now it’s Christian Yelich and that one fouled off on the ground to First makes the sliding stop to first and that’s a nice play to end the inning so it’s one run three hits no errors and a one- man left we’re through six full it’s the Brewers seven and the Cubs nothing we go to the top of the seventh so up now for Chicago Dan B Swanson SW so what we’re seeing is a lineup that’s just out of sync with the pitcher they’re guessing wrong and their timings off popped up to the left into foul ground catcher tosses The Mask settles under it and there’s one down this pitcher has done a good job of disrupting the hitters timing with the mix of pitches and changing speeds you want to keep that front foot inconsistent for the batter their swings are hesitant and that’s exactly what you want on the mount Christopher Morell the next cup to hit first pitch doesn’t find the Zone ripped on the ground to Second terang over to First in time two up two down well we’re clearly at that point in this ball game with the No No Going that we’re anticipating seeing some history those fielders right now they are on their toes expecting the ball to be hit to them still no hits on the board one out away from taking the No No into the eight fast ball for a strike the cubes still looking for their first hit in this [Applause] one knocks that one away and we’ll do it again here’s the 02 that one missed and down on strikes he goes and it’s a three up three down inning and the Cubs are down in order not going their way it’s 7 [Applause] nothing ready to go for the last half of the inning here’s the Brewers catcher now William contras as the Lefty gets to work that missed by a lot ball one to Cubs Bullpen with some action Mark lighter Jr up and throwing for manager Craig counil and the one and that’s outside he swings and fouls one off here comes a pitch little dribbler up along third and he grabs it foul two two now swings and misses at the breaking ball in the dir Gomes down to First with it gets him one away on a drop third strike well I don’t think there’s a hitter alive that hasn’t at some point succumbed to that pitch right there it just looks like it’s in the zone the entire way and then the Top Spin and gravity take over in the blink of an eye and it’s just such a tough pitch to lay off of and here is s frein that’s in for a strike [Applause] and now to Lefty swings through that one for strike two going to really need to hang in there with that front side against this left-handed breaking ball kicks and Deals got him looking not sure about that call pitcher might have gotten a friendly St strike three well they’ve had a great plan of attack for him tonight I mean finding all the holes in his swing and his approach just frustrating for him up there you strike out a guy three times in a game I think that guy’s got to go back and really study some video with his hitting coach figure out how they’re beating him make this adjustment really quick cuz word will get around the league in a hurry at the play reys Hoskins and a chance to make some history here Chris yeah he’s homered three times so far and now he gets another chance at least we think we’ll see if the pitcher gives him anything to hit it’s so rare to see a thre Homer performance but even more special for that player to get another chance at the plate to do it again for four missed inside with the curve that one off the mark and that’s ball two [Applause] and that’s in there at the knees the next offering misses and the count is three and one the Brewers up big in this one here the bottom of the seven that one finds the Zone Full Count now on the ground out to short jump throw in time got him and that’ll do it pure athleticism on that one in the air legs split a bit and fires across the diamond he’s going to get a lot of high fives in The Dugout and we’re back and now the first baseman Michael Bush and this lineup is still hitless as we begin the eight Peralta back to work and that’s in dirt instead of letting the hitter get his arms extended tied him up a little bit slightly up slightly in popped up foul territory behind the plate and a quick out number one still rolling to start the eighth just five more outs to [Applause] get so digging in Nick mrigal this is where the no hit bid really starts feeling real but still a long ways to go right through there for a strike the Brewers up big in this one and we’re in the top of the eight next offering in there for a strike that is strike [Applause] two that one hit to right he makes the catch and there’s two down and he’s getting really close to this thing right now only four outs left but it’s going to be tough to get back to the top of the lineup and next for the Cubs Nico Herer that one’s in there one one well know that can be a little bit of a dance strike one here but few more pitches we’ll see how it turns [Applause] out sliced down the right side and now one and two [Applause] righty delivers on the ground right side he takes it himself to the bag and that’ll do it three up three down for the Cubs they continue to Trail 7 nothing [Applause] back here at American Family field and now the short stop willia Damas and the pitch there’s a strike action in the pen down there mark lighter Jr up and throwing for manager Craig councel sharp grounder that’s through for a base hit so a runner a board to start the inning so here’s the Brewers DH Owen Miller one for three and takes low for ball one nobody out runner at first at the belt and fires so a foul ball makes it one and two [Applause] and a [Applause] pitch and another [Applause] ball payoff pitch gets to piece and stays [Applause] alive that one ripped makes the grabo man at first Jackson Chio up now now for the Brewers and a foul ball Adamas the base runner at first with one out and a swinging to miss and ball one one ball two [Applause] strikes that one down the line and it goes just foul the pitch and that skips in dirt on the ground right side and foul ball down the line and that will drop foul good battle here about to be the eighth pitch of the atat and that just misses on the ground left side six four three double play and the inning is over on to the ninth we go and a no hitter on the line when we get back and welcome back to the ballpark all set to start the ninth in this one now the number two hitter seya Suzuki everyone’s attention on the no hit bid now three tough outs to get that one misses one and0 can only imagine the nerves that some of the defensive players have right now you got to have the mindset I want the ball hit to me but in front of that you hope that he strikes The Hitter out just missed three outs from a no hitter fast ball for a strike in this situation you expect the Batters to be a little more patient possibly take until they get a strike with that you don’t want to miss your opportunity to get ahead early in the count he didn’t right there 3-1 and he couldn’t come up with it oh you know this guy wants to swing it but he’s showing some good patience in this one it’s the second time he’s taken Ball Four Ian half the next come to hit the half Daddy [Applause] here’s a line drive and that’s going to end the no hitter it’s a base hit around third he’ll score and they’re on the board but lots of ground to make up oh man boo he got through eight full Innings took the No No into the ninth and I really thought he was going to do it but you know those last three outs can be so tough to get but outside of that he’s been incredible to watch and here comes the Brewers manager to the mound pitching change coming that does it for Freddy Peralta and he was a tough nut to crack pretty stingy from start to finish back with a new arm after a quick break so the Brewers bring on a new pitcher from the pen Elvis pigero and he’s got a nice lead to work with so he should come in throwing strikes attacking these hitters and up to the plate comes Cody Bellinger there’s the strike one man it’s second out towards right center field and Bellinger is out rer tags it second he’s in [Applause] there he’s two outs away Dan B Swanson the next cup to hit you have to stay disciplined in these advat try not to chase a strike out here is the last thing you want and there’s the strike movement in the bullpen Bryce Wilson the right right-handed Sinker baller he looks to be readying himself Clark also getting ready foul ball there got it by him for the K just a great slider right there and I think the key for pitchers and what hitters don’t want to see is if a pitcher misses with that pitch that he misses off the edge of the strike zone rather than in the middle of the strike zone and right there excellent execution and it finished up in a perfect spot Morell the next to hit takes outside two outs in a runner a third here at the top of the ninth and that one Clips the corner [Applause] [Applause] the Cubs down to their final strike and a swing and a miss and that is the ball game I don’t care if you’re a top team or you’re a middle of the- pack Team every ball Club wants to be dominant at home winning a game like this just helps to boost the confidence and makes you look forward to coming out again for the next one and a 7-1 finish in this one for Chris Singleton and our entire outstanding crew here at MLB the Show I’m John shami saying so long [Applause]
