is Steve Merl wagertalk.com right back here on wager talk TV and as I mentioned Tigers open about a120 overnight favorite but as of Tuesday Morning the money had come in on Minnesota they’re now a$1 20 home favorite sharp money is on Minnesota and yes I agree now the reason the Tigers opened as the favorite initially is because they got the better pitch on the mound sco’s numbers recently have been better than Woods Richardson he’s been very inconsistent but Minnesota checks all the other boxes they’re the better team they’re at home much better Bullpen available Bullpen especially tonight and I think that will be the difference in this game and I do like Minnesota minus a dollar2 and let’s look at the starting pitchers school’s coming off a great start against Philadelphia but keep in mind the Phillies are offensively challenged right here over the last couple weeks and they’re even more banged up since he faced them but he went seven Innings no earn runs seven strikeouts but keep in mind it’s two starts before that came on the road at Atlanta and Houston he got lit up he gave up eight runs actually nine runs eight of them earned in just over 10 Innings so his last two Road starts have been horrendous and his home starts have been much better and that’s kind of been the key here in recent form so I think scoble might be hit more than expected tonight meanwhile Woods Richardson is in a bit of a bounceback spot after a subpar outing at Arizona hit or friendly Park last week so although the overall seasonal projections favor screw ball in this game I think the the actual the situation favors Woods Richardson and I like Minnesota they’re the better offensive team better available Bullpen and in current form also is favoring the twins in fact Detroit had lost four straight until they got a one-run win against the Angels they’re just one and four their last five only win came by a single run meanwhile the twins in excellent current form one and four their last five games five runs or more scored in four of those five and they’ve also now won six of their last eight with five runs or more scored in five of their last six wins so twins at home lay the short number here and something else I’ll point out also in this battle of Lefty versus righty is that Minnesota’s actually done okay against lefties another reason I think they’ll get to schoow tonight 15 and8 this year against left-handed starters just 32 and 29 against righties meanwhile the tigers are 10 games below 500 versus right-handed starters while two games above 500 against lefties so the Lefty versus righty matchup also should favor the twins one final note I’ll point I don’t think Minnesota overlooks the start of this three-game series because they’ve actually played the Tigers seven times this season and they’ve lost four of the seven so it should be a focus spot for Minnesota here in game one at home for that reason and overall the twins have taken care of losing teams this year in fact overall Minnesota is 30 and 12 against losing opponents while they’re just 177 and 25 against winning teams Detroit currently eight games below 500 once again the twins a solid 30 and 12 this year against losing teams Tigers meanwhile just 17 and 27 against winning teams like Minnesota so although they have taken four the seven I think that’s misleading Minnesota checks most of the boxes tonight and they have some value here minus 120 and that’s why we saw the sharp money come in on them overnight as well the Minnesota Twins take a look at them that game
