Am I crazy or is the title picture Justin Edwards and not Rob Dillingham?
It’s an A+ draft and I’m still shocked we ended up getting the two guys we did. I understand what San Antonio was trying to do. They will use that pick to eventually include in a trade for a star player.. But if I’m looking at this right, San Antonio could have up to 9 FRP’s over the next 3 years.. so they aren’t exactly hurting for picks. In my opinion, it was a dumb trade to make when that team should be looking to add as many possible young assets around Wemby and continue building out that roster. Because not adding the 2031 first wouldn’t have prevented them from making a trade for a star.. It’s quite odd if you ask me.
Sure, maybe they weren’t that high on anybody at 8 but I think Dillingham has the potential to be an absolute star and one of the most lethal scorers in the league.
I’m not used to Britt heaping so much praise on the Wolves org.
Not that he’s a local sports curmudgeon and cynic in the old Ruesse/Barreiro mold, but he has zero problems calling people on their bullshit.
And he doesn’t seem to think that there’s currently any bullshit in the pick or TC’s praise of Dillingham.
Britt’s exuberance on the draft, and Connelly’s tenure really dances off the page. It is incredible that the Wolves have a team and org that matches the talent of those who cover it.
