CeeDee Lamb TRADE To The Titans? Tennessee Titans Rumors On Landing The Cowboys’ Star WR

welcome into Titans today I am Tom Downey we are now in July which means we are getting closer and closer to Titans training camp getting going if you are excited about that with the new look offense under Brian Callahan then like today’s video for me right now Today’s Show is all about the uh the drama in Dallas and how it could potentially benefit the Tennessee Titans CD lamb the cowboy Superstar wide receiver is looking for a new contract which you lead the NFL in in yardage and your first in catches among receivers like you deserve a new contract that’s really not that hard he however is not expected to report to at least the start of training camp without a new deal and there are already rumors of a possible trade request coming from lamp here’s what NFL’s the people’s Insider uh Pretty Ricky tweeted out yesterday cedan will request to be traded if the Cowboys do not offer a new contract worth at least $32 million per year he wants to be at least the second highest paid wide receiver in the NFL now we’ll to go in depth on The credibility of Pretty Ricky here in a moment there have been some conflicting reports out of this from Dallas Bobby belt saying yeah that number tracks 32 million at least he do know about the trade request Clarence Hill of the fort wor Star Telegram said ah no it’s not credible at all so who knows I think it’s worth mentioning that that Ricky has nailed some NFL transactions this off season he was first by a good while on the Trevor Lawrence deal he was first on the Justin Jefferson deal and not just saying it was going to get done but like saying yeah it’s a record setting contract got this much this much got all that stuff right he got the Jared go deal right early so far ahead that Adam schfer said there’s no deal imminent and then a deal happened which seems noteworthy got the Alan R st Brown deal got it all going with the Brian Burns trade deal details getting the the actual comp pick or the compensation right money and trade-wise he was first on the Calvin Ridley rumors he was way ahead of like hey other AFC South team is going to get him boom Ridley stunner right had Tyler Boyd to the Titans done you know days earlier had Odell Beckham and the Dolphins done now he’s not batted 100% he’s missed some stuff had the sne trade not right uh had Devon White’s year and number right at the wrong team didn’t have a great draft uh result and necessarily either so if there is truth to this and the Cowboys continue to bungle their way through the off seon you got to have interest right every NFL team not every but almost every NFL team should have interest here C Lam’s a superstar calber receiver you don’t find you know 1,700 yards by rolling out of bed those receivers are rare so if you could get him I think you owe it to yourself as an organization to figure out how much it would really cost you we’ll go more in depth on that here in a minute but would you trade for CD lamb if you ran the Titans why for yes n for no it is the PIN comment on this video so if the ad comes here on YouTube great take advantage of it head down there and let me know now as many of you know I host the Cowboys report here at chat sports as the Cowboys report host I think the idea of trading CD Lambda Tennessee is stupid it shouldn’t happen it’s a bad idea for the Cowboys as the Titans today host it’s a great idea for Tennesseee see what the cost is you’re adding a legitimate worst case top five wide receiver in the NFL that’s awesome he he genuinely is on a special path to begin his NFL career over the first first four years of his season which didn’t always have Dak for those starter here’s where lamb ranks among receiving yards he’s behind Justin Jefferson Michael Thomas who was great before the injuries reared their ugly head this dude named Moss then lamb and Tory Hol pretty damn good company to be in as much as I like what Tennessee has done in the wide receiving core this off season adding Calvin Ridley adding Tyler Boyd giving yourself better Playmakers and more impact options at the position they don’t have a CD lamb I don’t know if Calvary Ridley’s ever going to be as good as AJ Brown was and yeah that’s not the expectation necessarily either I think that CD lamb is better than what AJ Brown is right now and I think even it was at his best but I think he’s still mostly in his prime you add a legit number one receiver Ridley becomes your two you figure out the rest that’s such a good wide receiver core but it also might be adding too much into the wide receiver spot at once especially relative to the cost so do you think the Titans need another wide receiver one for yes they do zero for no they they do not they’re in great shape give me your honest opinions in the comments section in many ways the idea of adding CD lamb is not that different than the t Higgins trade idea or free agency signing next year whatever minus the Brian Khan connection obviously this one though would be even more expensive not just from a contract cost get to that in a second also the trade cost coming later on it would be a pretty penny you’re giving up to acquire one of the best young receivers in football the highest paid wide receivers right now the $32 million number was on an accident it’s more than what AJ Brown is currently getting from the Detroit Lions by the way four of the top five guys have changed this off seon and Tyreek Hill also might get a new deal funny how the market works right Jefferson’s at 35 he’s also the highest guaranteed contract this one a little bit different because that Tyreek Hill third number was a little bit fake 110 million fully guaranteed for Justin Jefferson then it’s AJ brand 84 million I had thought the guaranteed money might be the bigger issue for the Cowboys in lamb in terms of getting a deal done but if they can’t get the average per year figured out that’s a whole different issue I think this is kind of straightforward you beat out AJ Brown if that’s all he really wants four years $132 million more guaranteed money by the way which I think would help get that deal done $33 million per year it’s a lot of money for a team that also paid Calvin Ridley What Now doesn’t appear to actually be all that much money on the wide receiver Market but still it’s a lot we’ll talk the trade cost here momentarily but if you haven’t already make sure you guys are subscribed youtube.com/ tians today for more free Titans YouTube videos we have seen many a wide receiver trade over the years and a lot of them fall into somewhat similar categories right Hollywood Brown from the Cardinals to or from the Ravens to the Cardinals a first also got a third back for the uh for the Cardinal so not quite true first round value Tyreek Hill went for a first second and more AJ Brown went for a first and a third which maybe a trigger warning there Devonte Adams a first and a second Odell Beckham from the Giants to the Browns a first a third and to player Stefan Diggs to the bills this is the first Stefan digs trade a first in a couple of day three picks DeAndre Hopkins went for a second and a player in hilarious trade by Houston Amari Cooper went for a straight first the first time around Brandon Cooks technically went for a first and change twice twice that happened for Brandon Cooks Percy Harvin way back when a first and a third so at minimum you have to move a first I think it’s probably more than that I think something close to the Tyreek Hill trade if it if it was going to be a trade no matter what I think this is how you win and beat the other offers now my issue with this trade idea specifically for Tennessee a first and a second is a lot to give up when you don’t know if Will Levis is truly your franchise guy he may or may not be if he is this trade works out great cuz you’re probably a playoff team or at least close to it if he’s not boy you might need that first to draft somebody else whether it’s this year or next year so like the Patriots might be more inclined in particular to do that potential trade the first and second kind of matches the Tyreek Hill deal if you trade for CD lamb you kind of got to move a receiver by the way because Burks is now receiver five at best that’s throw them in there as the the additional deal to to Intrigue the Cowboys a little bit more the one that might make the most sense for Dall or for Tennessee is this one still got to give up that first conditional day three pick based on playoffs or whatnot you don’t really need DeAndre Hopkins anymore do you who by the way kind of wanted to be in Dallas the first time around was telling people Dallas said no might have been a mistake on their front given how he played last year and or you could flip Hopkins somewhere else and send draft picks as part of it I think in the hypothetical scenario cuz I still think the deal gets done in Dallas but but it’s the Cowboys they’ve been a dumpster fire this off seon if we’re being honest the trade I think should be in the Tyreek Hill trade range we haven’t seen a player go for two first round picks at wide receiver and in I think the Joey Galloway ironically involving C think that was two first at least it was a first um I think it should be at least in the hill range maybe it’s even in the first two first round range maybe you get lucky and you kind of get the equivalent of the AJ Brown trade now that was a unique situation I suppose I also want to make this point as the Cowboys report host I can say this and you can know it’s accurate Cowboys are bad at trades they’ve not won a trade in a long time this is not this is not your Hershel Walker trade Cowboys this is we traded Amari Cooper for a fifth and a sixth round pick Swap this is we got no trade interest for lyo Collins this is we gave them first for marians and flipped them for nothing later they’re not good at making trades now when they’re acquiring a veteran like a Stefan Gilmore sure trading dudes away don’t maximize their value very often they should not trade him at all doesn’t make sense for them whether they’re rebuilding or winning now lamb helps them do that but they’ve been a mess this off season like a real messy disaster class off season so maybe a call and see what happens I’m sure the Titans in the NFL saw that report maybe a call so if you made it to the end of today’s video thank you all so much make sure you’ve liked it as you should do for every Titans today YouTube video by us here at chat sports [Music]
