  1. impingement
    >intrusion into an area belonging to or affecting someone or something else.

That doesn’t seem great no? Is it like bone spurs or something?

  2. Considering I was mentally preparing myself for a Romano TJ, this is still a better case scenario than what I was scared of

  3. It could have been worse. That’s the small positive news.

It’s likely his season is over. Don’t see much “uncertainty” with it.

There are only like 13 weeks left in the season…Not touching a baseball in 6 weeks and then having an optimistic and minimal build up would be 4-6 weeks which pretty much leaves him with a week or two at best which is really just maybe 6 innings of work…

Factor in the Jays will likely be out of it…there is no reason to push him. Romano likely wouldn’t want to be pushed either as he is 1 year away from free agency and needs a healthy 2025 bounce back to cash in.

  4. Had a shoulder impingement, was insanely painful, hoping for a speedy recovery for him regardless if he pitches again this year or not.

  5. Well one silver lining is his absence probably won’t matter anyways this year. No need to rush, just make sure you’re good and healthy for next season.

  6. Rest up, sweet prince. We’ll always have the memory of your victims.

Hopefully he can come back stronger next year, and hopefully we haven’t seen the last of Romano the Blue Jay.
