This was the most forthcoming he has been in a long time. I do feel for him, this has to be one of the hardest rebuilds to ever navigate with: the horrible contracts, bad lottery luck, zero farm system, etc. He is still sticking to his guns and trying to build a core. We aren’t going to look like Edmonton most likely, or even Florida, but maybe we can be a Vegas or St. Louis.

It’s clear the organization values him very highly, how that works out going forward should be interesting.
Im glad to hear hes still focused on the long term goal of getting a core group to compete for the cup. Very reassuring.
