Talk that shit my guy. I’m very excited to see what this secondary can do this year. The better they play the easier it becomes for the LB’s and D Line, especially hutch
Fans tend to think there’s set starters like a Madden depth chart. Carlton Davis and Kerby are the only DBs that will play 95% of snaps. All of the other DBs are going to be rotated in and out at some point. Branch, Iffy, Arnold, Amik, and probably Rakestraw will all have a role in AGs defense. Vildor and Brandon Joesph are true depth players.
I could see a world where Robertson and Rakestraw are the starters.

I’m just as excited as anyone for our secondary this year but do us all a favor and focus on earning your snaps and don’t worry about what the fans are saying. This is a yellow flag for me. New guys should be earning their snaps with their play not talking shit.
Idc who starts. The secondary just needs to be better. I’ve watched MSU and Detroit’s secondary the last three years. I cannot take it any longer 😂😭

Last year I thought we’d have a top 15 secondary. Sutton, Moseley, Branch, CJGJ, Iffy…it felt good. Then injuries happened.
This year we have 2x as much depth and better players overall. We’ll have a top 10 defense this year and Amik will be a big contributor to a major change in production from our secondary.
They’ll be so physical and the pressure on the QB will allow for us to be super aggressive up front and in the secondary.
I cannot wait! LETS GO!!!!
