[Shams] The Golden State Warriors have agreed to a deal acquiring Buddy Hield via sign-and-trade from the 76ers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. New teammates Hield and Stephen Curry are leaders for most 3-pointers made over the last 5 NBA seasons – and now will be teammates.

  1. “Warriors are sending a 2031 Dallas second-round pick to Philadelphia to complete sign-and-trade for Hield”

Wonder if we can get another player soon, Morey always up to something. DFS would be good.

  2. 2nd round picks are assets teams use who are crushed by the apron to fill “cash considerations”. I think… this CBA is wild. I don’t math like Godner

  3. Anyone know the technicals on how we’re able to sign Buddy without having any real cap space with Reed still here?

Saw someone theorize that this trade couldn’t be made official until Reeds team option was officially declined, or he was traded.

  4. Seems to be some smoke around Caleb Martin to the Sixers. I wonder if this is a precursor to that.

  5. So a second round pick in return…

Partially makes up for the three seconds we traded to get him

  6. Kind of disappointing he never got a chance to fully gel with the regular lineup. By the time the team was “healthy” enough, it was playoffs and he just got thrown into the fire.

  7. Kind of humorous that Buddy was rumored to the sixers for the past 5 years and when he gets here he only lasts 31 games

  8. I wonder how many players in the NBA you could combine with Steph where that duo would lead the league in threes in this same period as a twosome.

I know Hield is among the highest in that time period but it would be interesting to see.

  9. Wish he’d worked out better for us, love him as a player. Oh well.

  10. Kind of a shame I would have liked to see Hield get some prep time in with the team and the system. I think he could have been better but oh well

  11. Damn. I wish we could’ve kept him. He never really got a chance to gel into the team/lineup
