Because Kelly Green is objectively better.
Either you have Kelly Green or you get the overdone by the rest of the league black. You can thank NFL rules for the issue.
We did not abandon them. Last season we swapped out the black for Kelly. This season they are allowing 3 helmets, so Black is back.
It looks fine but its so low hanging imo. Like every uniform in every sport is trying to be dark and black like the 01’ Sixers and its annoying.
They were not that nice, they didn’t match the jersey shade at all. I’d be open to having them back if improved
They were fine but not different enough from the midnight green. If they could have three helmets they should keep black but redo it in a matte finish of some kind. But if we have to choose between black and kelly green, kelly green every single time
We might see them come back during the Brazil game. It be a good alternative color
Black is back this season
They look the same on tv, it’s so close to the Kelly, IMO I think we should’ve went with an all silver with the green wings and silver uniform with the green numbers like the atmosphere jerseys they released last year.
Edit: Midnight Green not Kelly, my bad
Because they are boring and generic.
Call me crazy but I prefer the green helmet with the black uni 🤷🏾♂️

Eagles have the sickest uniforms and helmets in the league.

I actually liked the green helmets on the black unis better personally
Idk about anyone else but I never really cared for the black helmets and depending on the lighting, I feel you could hardly tell the difference between these and our main helmets.
