  1. Playing devils advocate for a second- why didn’t he come out and say this right after the initial reports came out? Why wait until the Mitchell extension is already in place?

  2. I think he’s in a tough position and he knows it. The only thing that will solve his problem is to play to his ability and not get injured.

  3. If he gets back to his normal self this is a non issue, if not it’ll be a huge distraction going into the new year

  4. So go off on Klutch. I love DG. It would be very easy to get rid of this bullshit.

  5. Let’s be honest here. I 100 percent believe garland had talks with his agent about a possible trade request. With everything that happened with jb and garlands season I’m sure he talked with his agent, however I also believe the media blew this out of proportion. I don’t believe he ever said he would 100 percent request a trade because of Donovan staying.

Garland probably never wanted to leave Cleveland but with jb and the current way of doing things, many believed he would be traded anyway so it’s not unusual that agents preemptively do these things to protect their client.

That being said, the cavs front office continued support of garland/ unwillingness to trade him, new coach/promise of new scheme, and his poor trade value are probably why he is happy to stay right now.
