six Innings last night they may need a little bit more from him Nack is going to try and hold down an offense that is suddenly scorching hot Corbin Carol leads things off tonight and takes strike three KN after falling behind battles back to strike him out swung on and Miss strike three backto back punch outs for Landon Nat to open this ball game two outs nobody aboard for jock Peterson chck had the big home run in the first game of this series but 0 for three 3ks last night jock HS a deep Fly ball the right field and there’s your Fourth of July fireworks Peterson’s hit another one at Dodgers stadium and they love him here in La the fireworks start early boy what a nice count he got he had a pitch on the outside part of the play where he could extend and he got that over the right field wall just smashed that ball that jumped off the bat speaking of home runs here’s Christian Walker who has homered in this ballpark in four consecutive games since Dodger Stadium opened in 1962 no visiting player has a higher career Ops in this ballpark than Christian Walker and Walker’s driving another one there it goes christian Walker there’s one more and he has taken this ballpark apart and made it his own we talked about the game slowing down he has homered in five consecutive games at Dodgers Stadium he has homered six times in six games in this ballpark this year he’s homered four times in this series wow just stay in that bubble you’re in right now defies explanation he has breached the walls of Dodgers Stadium again Diamond Back starter tonight the right-hander Zach Gallen coming off a dominant performance in a win over the gays last Saturday it was Zach’s first start since he missed a month with that right hamstring stram yeah and he was just so healthy his last start as a velocity was way up of course he had a good change up a good curveball to go along with that and let’s hope he has that SA kind of step in this game he’s going to need it against their lead off hitter who is leading the national league and runs homers average an Ops at show Otani the national league Allstar DH there’s the leadoff walk for Otani shoots a base hit the other way Dodgers set in the table against gallon here in the first and he got him gallon wore him down and he cranked up the heat again at 98 and he gets his first out in first strikeout this might stay playable for Walker foul ground and he’s got it and gallon has his second up well that was a lot easier than the three-minute bet there goes Otani throw to third not in time and a stolen base another stolen base for shoh he’s now up to 17 on the year yeah if you’re going to try and steal third um and especially with two outs you better make certain that you’re 100% in there 32 there goes teoscar bounc to short Pomo will go to First and gallon had first and second no outs he really labored but he got out of it stranded two and it stays two nothing Diamond B Taylor earned that walk second issued by Zach and there’s a one out base runner for Hernandez and Kik slices this one out to right center and a sliding grab up there did he get it he got it carbin Carrol what a play in right center field little hesitation there between Alec and Corbin it seemed like and Corbin came swooping in at the very last second what a play I mean he reaches out luckily he’s left-handed so he can get the glove there and just tumbles right on over keeps the the ball in his glove that had double written all over it and there’s the patient at that and Walker will get another chance here he comes he has seven hits in this series four homers and seven RB well Dave Roberts said after last night’s game that Christian has been better than sh Otani here here at Dodger Stadium and it’s hard to argue that point watching this series another one’s on its way Christian Walker has taken over Dodger Stadium there is no explanation for this it just goes on and on and on it’s amazing he’s not even cracking a smile I mean even Tor lello this defies all logic I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything like it four home runs in his last six F bats Walker now hit 22 home runs this season nine against La Miguel Vargas comes we’ll find out more as to what that means for Jason Hayward moving forward guys Vargas rips one left field that sinks down a base hit backto back knock with the Dodgers starting this fourth inning and Miguel Vargas Chris Taylor with his second walk of the game this one loads the bases bringing the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the four bound visit from Moreno Here Comes Brent STM as well just going to talk about the situation you have p a guy that Zach can really execute pitches against him get that ground ball even if you only get one and can’t turn it it is a curve and it’s bounc to third two out he flexes one into center field Marte can’t get there it’s a one-run game bottom of the order gets it done Austin Barnes with a two1 single and it’s four to three that ball came in at 96 mph and barnesy decided to slow it down with his Bat and throw it out there at 65 mph as two RBI take that every day of the week he made his Diamondback debut his major league debut I should say with the Diamondbacks back in 2017 Anthony Bond here’s Corbin 0 for two Joe’s bun gets it down foot RAC is on but he mused the tag Freddy Freeman never tagged him and he’s safe at first Mark Carlson says he’s in there he can used the entire running Lane and he used every bit of it right there Freddy never tagged him and Dave Roberts is looking for an answer yep Freddy waved him off because he knew he kind of messed up here he had him I think he had a little Bobble in his glove when he got that and he wasn’t able to apply the tag couldn’t get the ball Corbin smartly runs around him tags the bag there goes Corbin Austin Barnes throw is almost into center field and Carol’s got stolen base number 15 no contact Test Johnny Bench couldn’t have thrown him out right there and now a chance for catel who is 0 for two Marte with a base hit this is going to get Corbin home catel Marte the allstar with the RBI single the distraction and the chaos leads to a run and it’s 5 to three Corb with that great speed it’s a great secondary and he is off to the race second out of the fifth here’s Christian Walker and he will get the intentional pass 12 can hardly blame Dave Roberts for that you might see this happen quite often when they play the Dodgers now on for the rest of his career bottom of the zone to ring him up and finish off the top of the fifth Diamondbacks get one back halfway home in right to Pomo Justin Martinez what a performance for this young man three scoreless Innings and we hit the eth Diamondbacks are going to have to find a new third baseman Jano Suarez is thrown out of this game on his STP back to the field upset about a few pitches that one was not that bad but we saw earlier in the game not thrilled with some of the calls of the home plate umpire and T lell is getting his money’s worth too Rick husi lets us know that the new man is new man so good so good 5-3 game Brian Thompson replaces Justin Martinez who is the MVP of this game to this point for the Diamondbacks outside Christian Walker I guess three Innings 5Ks over those three dominant Innings of relief left Center Alec Thomas has got it Alec Thomas with a tremendous sliding grab in the left center field Gap and another sparkling defensive play by this Diamond Back Outfield swinging bunt Walker’s got it Thompson covers and Ryan Thompson a one two 38 inning it’s 53 Diamond B could have walked up there empty-handed would had the same result it’s a four- pitch walk and it loads the bases now for Lis gel Jr Lis broken bat that drops in Martz home gritch right behind and they’re both in there Lis gel drives in two and it’s 7 to three four consecutive reach with two outs in the ninth and now Moreno hard to third it’s down the line more runs on their way Walker home Le is taking the turn Gabrielle Moreno makes it 9 to3 the route is on the route is on it’s a 4run ninth Gabby’s third hit tonight he got it by Taylor and down the line into left another change up he’s out in front and just Cubs It Right Down the Line nine runs all in and total and the Dbacks are having some fun on to get the final three outs for the second consecutive blowout game is the right-hander Thiago Vieira 24 appearances including seven with a Diamond Backs Vieira got three outs in the ninth last night backto back cage to open the bottom of the ninth bounders down to their last out trailing nine to three Chiago Vieira yeah he did Vieira strikes out the side and they finish with a flourish 9 to3 and the Diamondbacks have won their second series this season at Dodgers Stadium led by their first baseman Christian Walker who put on a home run parade here for three games
