He’s been a real disappointment. It’s sad because you can see the power is there, but he’s addicted to striking out and grounding into double plays.
His bat speed and hard hit rate is way down from 21 and 22. He just isn’t the same player any more other than his rare hot streaks. They really need to consider looking at available 1B.
The bauers/hoskins first base situation has been a real bummer so far.
His speed hurts too. There’s grounders that ik Bauers legs out and avoids the DP. Give him a break, Bauers at 1st and let Sanchez DH when he’s back
He came out hot in April. We loved the contract then.
I think the worst he plays the better chances he picks up that player option and is back next year too. Hopefully he can turn it around. Sidenote-but if shifts were still allowed the shift they would have on Rhys right now would be asurd.
