The Habs Prospect Pool is Crazy..

The Habs Prospect Pool is Crazy..

after bringing in some key pieces at the 2024 nhr draft Montreal’s Prospect pool is McCain’s deep and delicious right now okay and in today’s video I’m going to give you my brand new top five Habs Prospect list there’s obviously been some changes so let’s just go ahead and L the beans and wieners right out onto the table coming in at number five we got my man Logan Mayu what a beast he’s a 6′ tree 220 lb right shot defenseman he’s 21 years old and not only is he big and intimidating no but he’s also been a bit of a point producing machine at every level that he’s played in the OHL he was dominant he even pulled off of freaking Michigan at one point and in the AHL again he was fairly dominant 47 points for a 20-year-old playing in his rookie season come on that was enough to rank him third in the league for points amongst defenseman I got a sneaky feeling he’s going to be pushing for a spot right out of camp this year it’s probably going to be a bit of a showdown right until the last minute and if your name just so happens to be Justin Baron you better be ready for it that’s all I’m going to say moving on to number four Michael H look at you Michael was drafted 21st overall just over a week ago at the 2024 nhr draft and based off of what I’ve read from multiple scouting reports and what I’ve seen from Michael ha highight re he’s one of the highest ranked forwards the Canadians have to offer I mean he could even be a home run dare I say A H Batista bed flip ha put up 75 points last season in 54 games for the Chicago Ste and next season he’s going to be playing for the University of Michigan so you might want to keep an eye on him they’ve got a really good development program I think my favorite part of all about Hae is that this kid was AE fan Growing Up So putting on that Jersey must have been a really proud moment for him and hopefully in a couple of years he’s ready to become a big part of this team number three on the list is David ryb backer or popcorn as we like to call him Ry backer was picked fifth overall in 2023 which led to an absolute storm online because a lot of habs fans they were screaming for a forward they wanted Beech cop they want he wanted Leonard but Hughes didn’t bite did he instead he took the steady 2way 6o tree defenseman in David rebacker who would go on to suffer out a very abysmal season last year for Clon in Switzerland but guess what right near the end of the season he joined the lav rocket played 11 games I watched every one of them even even seen one of them live okay I’m bragging a bit and I can assure you this kid oozes confidence out there he’s a very very confident young man good skater makes a great first pass and you know what I got a feeling like he’s going to start next season in LEL and he’s just going to he’s going to knock it out of the park I mean I know we all want to see him right now but there’s just there’s no need to rush a defenseman and if the Habs they want to be successful in the future this kid he needs to hit at all costs okay you can’t have a fifth overall pick not making it that will be horrible which brings us to number two on my list and it’s lay Hudson who could be a potential partner for David reinbacher one day these guys are going to be like Mike and 11 just making magic happen nonstop I can sense it Ling Hudson is 5′ 10 a very respectable 5′ 10 might I add he’s 162 lb which I mean yeah could be a problem but it’s something Mary Browns can fix but most importantly he’s one of the most skilled defenseman the Canadians have in this system i’ I’ve never seen anything like him I know a lot of people like to compare him to Quinn Hughes Hudson is just so deceptive the kid might not be def fastest skater in the world but he doesn’t even need to be because when he gets the puck he hypnotizes people look at him look at him go isn’t that crazy he’s a bloody magician and after putting up some historic numbers for Boston University over the past couple of Seasons he finally got a sniff of some NHL action right at the end of last year and guess what he did no big deal he played two games and put up two points and should have won the Norris in my not so honest opinion my favorite part of all about lay Hudson is that he was a second round pick picked 62 overall in 2022 using the Edmonton Oilers second round pick from the bread kolak trade sh I don’t even think they know that yet keep it secret now as for where L Hudson plays next season look your guess is as good as mine okay the Habs are loaded right now on the left side I’m talking Jim Le he loaded maybe he plays an entire season in lval however if he struts into Camp looking like a million bucks pulling all kinds of just sorcery that he’s been known to do it’s going to be tough to send this kid down no doubt which brings us to pick number one which of course is Mario armia actually I’m just kidding it would have been Mario armia but he’s already in the big leag okay so let’s settle down a little bit instead it’s Ivan demid do can you believe it I’ve been wanting an offensive threat like this in the hab system for a very long time and finally we did it we got Ian demid do in my opinion is right at the very top of the HEBs Prospect pool right now he was picked fifth overall just over a week ago just like just like Michael H I’m not going to beat around the bush I’m going to tell you my honest feelings I feel like he’s going to be a star Demi dve put up 60 points in 30 games last season in the ml we’re hoping that he’s going to be playing in the KHL this season however you just you never know but one thing we do know is that Demi DAV has just one year here remaining on his contract over in Russia and as soon as it’s over as soon as it’s done you better believe it Jeff Gordon’s going to be parachuting into the motherland and rescuing Ivan demit like like he’s a polar bear last in the Sahara and they should start making a movie on that one so one thing you’ve got to admit after seeing a pretty big change this year in my top five the Canadians prize big pool is getting deeper and deeper okay and it’s looking better and better I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to see these players develop and for Montreal to become competitive once again of course there is going to be some honorable mentions here Jacob Fowler’s name comes to mind great golender he’s also rocking a Patrick W mask I mean how can you not root for him Jacob darish you can’t forget dabish I’ve been telling everybody that yeah he came out of the gate not looking so sharp but I mean as the season went on in LEL davish looked pretty good ow and Beck comes to mind I mean just a a good two-way forward I think feel like he really has some NHL potential Philip M maybe even Shan Farrell I don’t know but I bet your list probably looks a lot different than mine but that’s that’s exactly what the comment section was made for but you got to admit it’s been pretty nice to finally see the Canadians amongst the top of the League’s Prospect pools right now I feel like they’ve been really making some noise lately I don’t even think they’re done I could see maybe a trade or even two trades happening before before the beginning of the regular season because even with Honda Civic gun how do you keep all these defensemen come on it’s time to make some room it’s time to move one or two names to bring back a player in return that’s really going to fit into the Habs lineup nicely and in can’t we trust don’t forget to bang ding out that like button before you leave here I love it when you do that and hey no see you next time [Music] St [Music]

  1. IMO Fowler is 5th best propect rather than Mailloux, especially how he played last year and also because we're loaded on defense. I agree with you on every other one.

  2. Hutson, as of now is who I'm most hyped for. He has been a monster at every level and he played unreal against a Detroit team that put everything on the line to get into the playoffs. I think he can gain 5 to 10 lbs of mass over the summer and be 170 to start to season. He's ready to be a game-breaker and bring the powerplay back to life. Demidov, I'll be hyped when he's ready to come over.

  3. 1.Demigod
    2. Frodo Hutson
    3. Popcorn Reinbacher
    4. Mailloux
    5. Wawa Roy
    6. Beck
    7.Kapanen
    8. Hage
    9. Fowler
    10. Engstrom
    11. Farrell
    12. Mesar
    13. Konyushkov
    14. Florider Xhekaj
    15. Volokhin
    16. Koivu

  4. I consider Reinbacher, Mailloux and Lane full fledged Habs at this point. They are no longer prospects. They all played a few games and are better than the majority of our defenseman. They will be on the team this year.

  5. Yes, it is crazy! Just wow…
Habs are in my top 5 favorite teams (they rotate lol)
Damn the next few years are looking great for Montreal! I can't wait!
    Slaf
    Caufield
    Suzuki
    Reinbahcher
    Michikov
    Demidov
    Hage
    Hudson
    This list just keeps going

  6. Joshua Roy AKA Wawa is not on this list for the same reasons Slafkovsky is not on this list. He’s played more than 20 NHL games and I already consider him a part of the team .

    Cheers and thanks for watching!

  7. Non Habs fan here, have to say you have an excellent group to build around now. But I cannot imagine having both Michkov and Demidov on your team, that could have been incredible

  8. Lane Hutson pick comes from the plekanec trade to Toronto, we got rinat valiev who we flipped for kulak which got us the Hutson pick

  9. 1 Demidov, 2 Hutson, 3 Mailloux, 4 Hage, and 5 Fowler. I am still waiting for that pick up this year! I really hope they didnt decide to not pick up a goal scorer now because they got Demidov. I can see them saying why pay for someone to come here for a year or two, then when Demidov gets here, he will take that spot, so why bother taking ice time away from someone who needs it on the team? Which makes sense, but i can't handle another year of finishing in the bottom 5, i know we get a pick for it, but i want to start winning, i dont mean make the playoffs, we're in a crazy tough division. i just want to not know we aren't making the playoffs before preseason, which is where we will be, if we dont add someone who can put the puck in the net. Bottom of the league again, this team has suffered enough, and so have it's fans.

  10. Jeff Gordon was the guy responsible for drafting the Bruins core from 08-18. yall are in good hands. and the BOS / MTL rivalry appears to be back the way the Bs are building their team

  11. I think Hutson should spend the season in Laval. As a player frim university it will be a real challenge to play a full 82 game season in the NHL. He might really start to get worn out and regress by mid-season because of the heavy grind.

  12. maybe im just a homer now cuz i watch all ur vids, but i truly believe the habs are gonna win at least 1 cup in the next 10 years.

their prospect pool is insane and they already have the core locked up long term on good deals. on top of that they have no real albatross contracts that will interfere with the window.
