hosting the Rangers rangers currently about a140 Road favor with gray and Daniel the listed starters total is around 8 and 1/2 to the over minus 115 and I do like the over in this game for a few reasons first of all always looking for a reason to play over 8 and a half nine is a very key number both seven and nine are the most key numbers in baseball totals and that’s because games go to extra ending so if this game is 44 it has to get nine or more so always like playing over 8 and a half whenever possible I think this game does give us some value to do so as I mentioned the Texas Rangers have underachieved this season despite winning three straight they’re still just 42 and 48 heading into Monday night but if you look at their net run differential they’re plus eight on the season which means they should be approximately 46 and 44 so the Rangers do remain an underrated team and they are the better team than the Angels that’s why they’re the road favored here but I think the total has some value with the over because both pitchers based on my starting pitcher projection ratings could struggle tonight and it’s not a surprise you look at John Gray the Ranger starter um he has not been going the distance in fact his last five star he’s average just four Innings per game Rangers Bullpen has been shaky at times this season and that’s one of the reasons they’re off to such a slow start in fact gray has been lit up in two of his last four starts in fact he gave up eight runs and nine runs in two different starts for last four times out so I do think the Angels might get back on track offensively and the angels sent a younger start of the mound here Davis Daniel who has made only a few starts this season he does have decent numbers at the MLB level this year in fact in his um two starts this year he has a very solid 2.7 erra but it’s misleading because I like to dig in to the minor league numbers when a guy hasn’t played much in the majors and at Triple A he was not good in fact if you’re not good at Triple A that’s a bad sign because he should be even worse in the majors and this year at Triple A he had a 5.3 ra and 14 Stars a very weak 1.5 Whip and opponents hit 290 against them in Triple A this season in 14 outings uh so I’m not sure Davis Daniel has major league potential quite yet both pitchers look like they might struggle look for the over
