summer league is here the Memphis Grizzlies summer league run is kicking off tonight on Monday as we are recording this we’re doing a quick summer league roster reaction because we are summer league of fici anad we are obsessed with this and it’s a great time to be a college basketball fan who gets to see more of our favorite college players as they transition to the NBA or lifelong careers outside of the NBA because 90% of the people here will not be playing professional basketball in the association one guy who will Zach gy we expect him to be the star of the Memphis Grizz summer league team but there are some other very intriguing names on this team let’s go through them card Jaylen Wells Scotti Pippen Jr Jake laravia Timmy Allen DJ Jeff Isaiah Miller excuse me Miller cavon Harris Zack Edy cam Spencer Kyle castlin Freddy Gillespie GG Jackson Trey Json and dejon jro uh it’s a lot of dudes that I know you and I were fans of in college Timmy Allen that’s one of your boys what do you make of this roster so my initial thoughts on this roster is this is this is a play the hits roster for me like there’s some guys on here that you know I love from back in college and just I loved even in their uh their Journeys like NBA like I was a big laravia guy Mass Timmy Allen guy uh cam Spencer Zack Ed th this team is very fun and for any college fans I think it’s going to be one that you watch this game and you’re gonna I think a lot of colle basketball fans are going to be paying attention to this grizzly summer leagues team but outside of that this team is like lowkey nasty like Scotty Pippen Jr’s been very productive um at the gleue level it was productive in college Jaylen Wells is actually just signed a guaranteed contract after second round drafting lar Rabia is a guy Isaiah Miller’s fun like he literally always has some type of crazy dunk every year in summer league that goes viral and then Zack Ed like come on like watching Zack E I think play against summer league centers I think is going to be it’s going to be a sight to be seen I expect him to dominate yeah he didn’t turn down the Olympics not to dominate right so we kind of expect this also like okay deep breaths deep breaths khil wear looks dominant in summer league right now right like Khalil wear’s been destroying people for the most part yeah yeah like it’s good to see like KH we’s cooking we’re we’re kware Believers good to see like I I just watched full highlights of him destroying a six foot6 guy yesterday and everyone’s like whoa maybe he’s an NBA Allstar what great value if khil we is doing what he’s doing in summer league prepare yourselves for Zach Ed tonight I’m saying this right now if that’s the type of we’re getting from khil and he looks unguardable wait until you see what Zaki is gonna do he might drop 47 tonight okay that’s my expectation but this team is fun I like the way they orchestrated this roster because um it’s a lot of guys who like matter actually I think long term like Jaylen Wells signed a contract like you said I think jayen Wells being on this roster and Jake laravia being on this roster is kind of like a you better start hoping otherwise like I’m here like like those two kind of matter um and I think you can go up and down the list and see some others like Trey jeson is on the Grizzlies roster and Zach Ed is here like GG Jackson is here but there’s some other guys who are like ready to kind I don’t know it just feels like this is setting up for like one Memphis wants to play well and compete and two like we got to see what players are actually made of um can I introduce a new segment in these videos please this is a segment I’d like to call who that guy uh two guys who that guy for me cavon Harris Kyle castlin who that guys uh cavon Harris played at I want to say ah I know he played for the magic last season I know that for a fact um but can’t remember where he played I know I Kyle C castlin I have no clue who that is I keep want to say Kyle I keep want to say Castleton so bad I have no clue who that man is I apologize yeah who that guy I don’t know I just who that guy I love this roster outside of those guys uh who would you start give me your your starting five if you’re the coach of this team oh if I if I’m the coach or if or like should I actually pick who they’re gonna pick if you’re the coach two different okay oh if I’m the coach okay that’s easy um I’mma have Scotty Pippen Jr at the one I’m gonna have Jaylen Wells at the no I’m gonna have Cam Spencer at the two Jaylen Wells at the three GG Jackson at the four and uh Zack e at the five I mean it’s a great team I’m shocked you didn’t start Timmy Allen but uh yeah that’s fun the the thing is this this five you could pick like seven different names and have a great five no matter what out of it um it’s also good to see you show some love to Justin Pippen brother I wasn’t expecting that but nice nice start uh I would start dejon jro from Houston love that dude love that dude I would start him also he’s wearing 77 this summer league I would start him and cam Spencer in the back court I would start Jake laravia and GG Jackson in the front court and I would start Zack Ed at Center can I also lay out here my NBA young boy lineup yes all right we got jro at the one we got we’re gonna have isah Miller at the two we’re going to have Gigi Jackson out there we’re also going to have Timmy Allen at the four DJ Jeff at the five and it’s chaos we have no one over we just got of guys out there just out there willing to put it on the line and dive for the Grizzly’s logo it’s a really fun team I think this team might win summer leek
