a look at that as well all right let’s get to the pick and that’s the uh Detroit Tigers hosting the Cleveland Guardians and you know folks unequivocally Cleveland’s a better team in this matchup but as we know over 162 Game season just because one team is better than the other that doesn’t mean anything you know because there’s a lot of uh miscellaneous stuff that comes up over the course of that long type of season and this is one of those situations where I’m gonna really um break down this game into the first five innings and right now Cleveland’s a minus 145 moneyline Road favorite the total’s eight and a half I’m going to look at the first five in this game as as a bet and uh the Guardians will be sending Gavin Williams out to the mound he’ll be making his second start of the season after being on the DL from the beginning of the year until the start uh about five or six days ago and also the Tigers will be going with kaider Montero who will be making his third ever Major League Baseball or excuse me fourth ever Major League Baseball appearance uh prior to this he’s made two starts and one relief appearance over the last couple weeks so uh Montero was shaky in his first two appearances of his major league baseball career actually it’s his third career appearance I said fourth by accident uh he made one start and one relief appearance uh in those first two appearances and he gave up nine ear runs in eight and twoth thirs innings not very good no matter how you cut it and you could use all the excuses in the world but uh you don’t last long in Major League Baseball if you put those types of numbers as as either a starting pitcher or relief pitcher however he’s coming off a confidence builder in his last start at Minnesota and that’s a very good hitting twins team that start came on July the 3 he went six and one third Innings pitched in that outing only allowing two earn runs and six hits uh while striking out four and walking one a very good performance a quality start and against like I said a very good hitting team Detroit by the way as much as they struggled offensively for much of the year that hasn’t been the case of late as they’ve scored five or more runs in six of their last eight games now Gavin Williams as I uh prefaced before uh he will be making just the second start of the Season he was on the DL uh with an injury uh made a start last week and it wasn’t very very good one uh during that start um he went allowed five run runs and seven hits while walking two and just four Innings against a li hitting Chicago White Socks team so I like one pitcher who’s coming off a confidence building win another one who showed a lot of rust coming off the DL and struggled against a very Li hitting white socks team um so again I have to see more from Gavin Williams before I’m willing to back him um I do not like the bullpen matchup here because Cleveland uh their Bullpen is far superior to the Tigers as a matter of fact the Cleveland Bullpen number one in ER and number one in whip this season in all of Major League Baseball while the Tigers in those categories are uh middle of the pack and average at best so I’m going to make it a first five but I am going to take Detroit plus a half a run on the Run line in the first five at money line odds of minus 125 that’s the Detroit Tigers uh at money line odds of
