San Jose Sharks Offseason Outlook

I don’t know much but I know being around that guy he’s special confident Swagger not cocky and really engaging and fun to be around I’m rooting for that guy like hard like no doubt about it like buy his sweater hard Grimmer your reaction to the Sharks getting him to sign on the yeah I mean just organizationally Tony it really feels like we’re kind of turning a page right it’s a new chapter for the San Jose Sharks of course um you know GM Greer has worked long and hard to arrive at A Moment Like This it takes a little bit of luck in the process um but you’ve got the number one pick uh you spend it on a celebrini and this is a guy that just knows how to manufacture offense um we see it in the physical skill set skates it above average clip he probably keeps up with nhlers right out of the gate I don’t think anybody has any Illusions about that um he’s got a real knack for the net can score from distance I really like that uh part of his repertoire but just dial it back a bit tone and look at the fundamentals think about the hockey environment he’s grown up in his father has made a career of preparing athletes for the highest level of competition he grew up in a household that breeds that kind of preparation so for me mlin cini is a kid that right out of the gate he gets the work that is required to to have an impact at this level so I’m really Keen to see um what it looks like the moment this young man said foot on NHL ice he really appears to be prepared for this moment well before he gets there he has such a likable personality no kidding we were seated here doing the preview show for the draft and we were having him on as a guest there were technical difficulties so we couldn’t hear us I wrote on a piece of paper Will Smith signed and he smiled big gave me a hint as to what he was thinking about doing this year that’s another impactful move for these sharks a lot of reason to Hope as you said turning the page yeah I think so and and you know you just look at the way the offseason has gone so far in a really short sliver of a small sliver of it um Greer is adding to this um you know to this roster at right in front of our eyes um this is going to be a really impressive um I would say different start to the year than what we anticipated coming from these sharks and I’ll tell you for a guy that played for two different California based team this was the only one that eluded me this is a great hockey Market fans are getting a glimpse of you know what’s going to show up on NHL Ice uh come the start of the coming year but um it’s a um it’s a notable ad it’s a it’s a we’re you know there’s there’s there’s definitely um pressing forward in another iteration another segment of uh the rebuilding of these San Jose Sharks I’m so all in on mlin celebrini I watched like the dev Camp footage and then the interviews afterwards and Will Smith very likable too we just put up the graphic where we have their additions having a Tyler T Foley in terms of a veteran who’s been there and won the Stanley Cup how much does that help their development yeah a lot um the last thing you want to do is put a mlin celebrini a Will Smith in an environment where you know you don’t have stability around them um Tyler tuli’s been a guy is a guy that’s been around a good long while um he’s you know he’s been to the Pinnacle of the Mountaintop uh NHL speaking um he’s been a really consist and performer over the course of his career knows how to find the back back of the net with regularity so just in terms of you know being able to communicate an example of what it takes to um to thrive at this level uh on a day-to-day basis to fully is somebody that can step into a a roster like that and really be a uh a meaningful example for the Smiths the celebris of this roster
