This dude comes off as so disingenuous. If Barkley is really that iconic to your franchise you don’t half ass a phone call this way. You call him with the owner and HC and let him know how important he is and OFFER him something. That whole “promise you’ll give us a chance to match” is corporate BS that anyone who’s left a shitty job has dealt with.

I think Schoen is just doing his job. You can tell from episode one that he didn’t want to make a deal with Saquon. I’m just happy we were in a position to get him cause he’s really going to open up this offense with Moore calling plays. Rejoice!
