Giants GM telling Saquon he’s a free agent

What an absolute clown. The b.s. small talk at the beginning is bad enough but how pathetic is it when he tries to bully Saquon into agreeing to give him a chance to match any offer. How can you be that bad with people?

  1. It is an awkward convo considering he was their best player, but seemed like he was just doing his job acting on the bet he wants to make

  2. This dude comes off as so disingenuous. If Barkley is really that iconic to your franchise you don’t half ass a phone call this way. You call him with the owner and HC and let him know how important he is and OFFER him something. That whole “promise you’ll give us a chance to match” is corporate BS that anyone who’s left a shitty job has dealt with.

I’m glad HBO is exposing this clown ass organization. It all starts with ownership, who lucked into a couple titles in the last twenty years and think they’re the Rooney’s.

  3. I feel very unsure about how Barkley will pan out. But thats a good sign for the team lol

  4. Not sure what you expect the guy to say. The entire interaction seems completely amicable and professional.

  5. At MINIMUM, Saquon feels valued because Howie is a real person and relates to guys in a genuine way

  6. I think Schoen is just doing his job. You can tell from episode one that he didn’t want to make a deal with Saquon. I’m just happy we were in a position to get him cause he’s really going to open up this offense with Moore calling plays. Rejoice!

  7. Let’s let Barkley prove himself for the Eagles before we give takes on his transfer from the Giants

  8. This video was posted in r/nygiants as well. Just found the opposing perspective funny/interesting
