and makes the catch it ends the inning but the Mariners get the game’s first run Padres are coming up Mariners won Padres is coming up here in the bottom of the first inning to face Allstar right hand Logan Gilbert congratulations Logan in play on the second Pitch and cord right there behind the back for Speedy out number one here’s the pitch of the way swinging a ground ball one hopper backhanded at first by Ty France underhand flip to Logan at the bag check swing ground ball to third up with the ball is Roos J has it toss across in time to get konorth three ground ball put outs in the bottom of the first inning nice start for the allstar Logan Gilbert wind up by Major the 2-2 Baco with a swing and a line drive base hit in the right field got a little bit off the end of the bat but you know what a solid base hit still for Pano and that’s got to feel good here’s the pitch to Ty Fran swinging a drive deep into the Gap in right center field peralt on the Run can’t get to it there’s Pano running third being waved in by Manny he will score standing up TI France with a double into the Gap and right center field scoring palano the Mariners with a two nothing lead Ty France jumping on the first pitch from major into the Gap the other way in right center what a blast by Tai picks up his 30th run B in and the Mariners have a two nothing lead and Roos turns on this lines it to right and it’s caught by Peralta on the ground to First BCE arise has got it he’ll take it to the back for out number two as moving to third is Ty France Mitch Garver swings away and lifts it in the air to short right field they’re very aggressive here swing at that first pitch four times another run for the barers on top two nothing measure into to the Wi here’s pitch half swing he did go he knew it he walked out of the box immediately Julio Pi swung on hit up the middle it looked like hit off a major into center field nobody covering second Julio was sprinting up the line two two night for Julio we say that’s a good sign Bri hitter Cal R batting from the left side pitch swung on and a fly Ball Deep to right it’s carrying on the track looking up it is gone that looked like a oneand swing by Cal righ got it on the barrel rides it out for a two-run hom run and the Mariners have a 4 nothing lead big cow home run number number 16 team leader in that category roas almost on the grass on the third base side next pitch check swing Logan tried to get it roas there to bail him out throws over in time Logan went for it barehanded fell as he’s refastening his Dan next pit swing on a fastb drill deep the left center field going back really he’s got room he’s on the track makes the catch and deep left center field two down and that was a fast ball and it was skyed to left field easy play really coming in coming way in and makes a one hand shoulder catch and that’ll do it 1 2 3 fourth and the Mariners 4 nothing here in San Diego that’ll bring up center fielder Julio Rodriguez proudest people here at Petco Park so we’ve talked a lot about Jack Merill named an All-Star in his rookie season the youngest Padre to be named an Allstar so he found out before Sunday’s game in a team meeting that he would be an All-Star he texted his mom his dad and his brother in a group text that you said that said you can not tell a soul but I will see you in Texas and at the time they were sitting in a suite with Joe Musgrove family and said it was really hard to keep a secret until it was public but what a special moment from them here’s the pitch on the way swing and a popup left here’s two two and a pitch swung on and Miss got him another strike out for Logan that’s his third quick two outs here in the six and he over threw that one and it was way outside his first walk only from the left side Cal with a home run from the right side for always having a lot of fun here in SoCal so one down and it brings up Jake cronenworth 042 High flyball deep right field that one is gone for Jake konorth Padres get on the board in the seventh inning that was a cutter and ended up right in the crow zone two down Peralta at first and coming up higashioka highfly ball out towards deep left field back goes more he’s looking up and that ball is gone Kyle higashioka new career High his 11th home run of the year it’s a two-run shot now it’s 7even to three here is Victor robl in his second AB swing and a well hit ball down the left field Line This one is going to be off the wall and a hop Cal Runing third being waved in he’ll score Victor roess in it’s second base standing up here’s the pitch swinging a ground ball to third Roos has it over to Second for one the relay to first by Palo in time for the double play and the ball game is over the Mariners win it tonight a final score of 8 to3 over the Padres the Mariners offense Comes Alive the allstar Logan Gilbert was outstanding tonight
