Guardians vs. Tigers Game Highlights (7/9/24) | MLB Highlights

for Kaya I think this game is going to be a lot of trying to keep the contact soft and on the ground Martino batting 400 in the seven games since coming up from Columbus now the wind and the 1-1 and it’s swung and it drilled a deep right field and it is gone the first major league home run for anel Martinez a line drive shot over the wall and right and the Guardians blanked last tonight lead tonight one- nothing in the first inning his first major league home run his first major league RBI and is there anything this kid can’t do here’s Jose Ramirez switch hitter batting left-handed a swinging a line drive base hit into right so Jose Ramirez in 90 games has almost duplicated his entire output of 2023 here’s another Allstar and Josh Naylor one out one on one- nothing Cleveland Runner goes pitch is taken low Carson Kelly had trouble getting the ball out of his glove and by the time he threw it to Second Ramirez was already in with a head first slide so Jose Ramirez now has 17 stolen bases the pitch and he sends one in the air to fairly deep left back goes green on the track near the wall is gone and opposite field two run home run to left and Josh Naylor makes it three nothing Cleveland oh what a pretty swing that was under control didn’t look like he exerted much effort and it’s home run number 22 and the Guardians have put away last night in a hurry and there is the 32-year-old Ben Lively and he’s got to be much appreciated for those three runs in the first inning they put on the board for him so he can go out there and go to work the pitch buy verling out looking there’s that fast ball that comes back with that right-handers give up on and sometimes so to left-handers co Keith is starting to really come around and he cuts and misses had a good looking pitch down and away and Lively has struck out the first two tigers Riley greens aboard with a two out walk that’ll bring up the catcher Carson Kelly the pitch and it’s swung on a chopper to third charged by Ramirez gloves throws off balance on the Run he gets Carson Kelly three nothing Cleveland two up two down my spent the last three years in Minnesota I think a lot of people were literally shocked when the Tigers gave MAA a two-year contract this winter the one two got him career strikeout number 1,000 for Kenta MAA is the first strikeout of the night and he works a one two three second inning here at America Park Tigers Giovani urella at first base batting fifth tonight the pitch bull strike three called Lively as struck out three again you’ll see that come back fast ball two down now Justin Henry Malloy the 01 pitch a swing and a Skyball to Center coming in is Freeman and boy to Ben Lively cruise through this inning that’s out number one Quan has to stay put he’s at second now the set and the 02 pitch to Ramirez and he sends a liner to Center that’ll get down for a hit Quan is going to be waved home it’s 4 nothing Cleveland Jose Ramirez a single to right now an RBI single to Center and hosy batting 143 in the month of July is two for two 77 RBIs and the Guardians have a 4 nothing lead in the third and here’s Josh Naylor a swing and a ground ball to Second by the diving Keith into Right Center Jose Ramirez is on his way to Third and it looked like Colt Keith Dove over the top of that ball and it scooted under him Runners now at second and third now there are tan out here’s Andre Jimenez he sends a line drive to right there it is base hit that takes one bounce goes up against the wall that’ll score a pair Ramirez and nailor in in with a sliding double as Jimenez and the Guardians have blown it open 6 nothing here in the third AJ hinch already on the mound everything that Kent is trying is not working right now and the Guardians just all over Joey Wentz takes over on the mound less than ideal coming in the third inning back to back walks load them up for catcher Austin hedges hedges from the right side upright stands knee slightly flexed two two swinging a Miss got him with a curve ball couple of walks and then a strike out and Wentz ends up stranding three nothing much Jose could do even if he came up with it cleanly don’t think he was getting beerling so col Keith gets the bat strke out his first time up Co Keith hits a Fly ball right field this one’s deep going back Noel looking up and it’s gone a home run eigh of the year for cold Kei This Bat starting to heat up tigers are on the board trailing six to2 yeah that’s a good side isn’t it just continue off his success in Cincinnati and he’s starting to feel it you can tell his presence is better the way he walks up to the place more confidence bottom of the fourth inning and one pitch one out GI or shella just there’s so many uncertain Swings with him right now onew ground Ball Deep third and it’s going to get by Ramirez down the left field line got the breaking ball pulled it into the corner and Gio orella nice to see would be on second base with one out there he goes he’s going to third wow he’s heading to third I thought he’d stop at second and he makes it the rare triple into the left field Corner Martinez couldn’t get a handle on the ball and heads up Ella just kept on running and when that ball was hit he could have made it to third out of the box I mean this ball for a long ways there was nobody anywhere close to it oh wait a minute I got a shot here especially being down to six to2 you know you got to be safe and he did and this ground ball with the infield back in the middle will get the Tigers a run gets the run home Tigers keep chipping away and now Jose Ramirez do they even pitch to Jose nope and so Josh Naylor will bat with The Bases Loaded in the pitch a swing and a high Chopper on the right side to his left is Keith that baseman throws out Naylor hedes scores everybody else moves up a base the runners at the corners one out here in the sixth and the Tigers have something bubbling here’s Giovani Ella Ella long Fly ball left field oh this is a whole new ball game 7-6 in the sixth that wasn’t inside out that was hit it out Gio orella being aggressive he knows it right away just the trajectory on it he says I got all of that one two down and’ll bring up Justin Henry Malloy the DH that Ball’s tattooed Justin Henry Malloy has tied the ball game go meet him Gio 6 nothing has become seven all right off the bat you know it look at that tiger dug out saying we got a whole new ball game Lively can’t believe it he’s saying man that was my win aier bayz now the wind up and the Pitch hit him in the back he’s looking out there upset he got hit by a slider if bz doesn’t realize nobody is going to throw at a 185 hitter it’s just an idiotic reaction by bz he got hit by a slider here’s Zack mckinstry and the pitch a swing and a drive boy this is pounded deep center field toward the gamp in left center now caught by marz as he got close to the warning track boy mckinstry hit that along way one out 7 s in the 10th and they’re loaded up for Josh Naylor the pitch swung on Line to Center Field coming on his verling it drops a base hit and it’s Cleveland eight and Detroit seven got to be able to get more than one run out of this the pitch to roio here it comes a swing and a Fly ball pretty well hit to left near the line is green he’ll catch it and there’s a mammoth Insurance run Cleveland has scored their second run 9 to7 Cleveland 10th and runner at third one out here’s Carson Kelly swinging to Fly ball right field this is deep this will get the run home the Tigers now down to their last out Runners at the corners and Justin Henry Malloy will be the ban Runner goes pitch swung on line toward Center coming on Freeman makes the catch ball game and the Guardians hang on and knock off the Tigers in 10

  1. Baez is delusional to think anyone would intentionally throw at him. Dude's hitting .185 with 1 HR in July! Getting paid $25 million to suck!

  2. Not a fan of either team but dudes absolutely correct, nobody’s throwing at Javy intentionally and he’s a fool for thinking it at all. He still thinks he’s a dangerous hitter but he’s not and hasn’t been for a while. He’s never put in any effort to grow as a hitter in his entire career
