Not good enough. If you watched any of the playoffs, the Sabres are worlds away from being competitive
I think fixing the bottom 6 was very important. Its been bad/below average for 10 years now
I still don’t like the moving on from Skinner with no immediate plan to make up for it though

Every year I’ve trashed Don’s garbage model! “Blasphemy!”, I would exclaim. Well lads, it seems that this year I’ve had a change of heart. Dom is a gem and knows what he’s talking about.
They went from a 2 line team to a 4 line team. Let’s rank the offseason after the all star break.
If you account for the difference between Mittelstadt and Byram it drops to only +2
Also found it interesting that Dom’s model has Zucker as a very slight net improvement over Skinner which pretty much every other model disagrees with
