[Applause] Chase Center the 2024 Battle of NorCal Champions inaugural winners of the MIT richment toi please make some noise to congratulate your Golden State [Music] [Applause] Warriors Brandon how’s that trophy feel in your hands oh that is heavy as it’s like 5050 pounds but uh you know it’s great uh we owed them they beat us regular season series they beat us playing game last year and they beat us last year and summer they get their play so uh we owed it to him it was a good first half terrible second half but uh we found a way to win that’s all that matters and um you know I’m just glad that me and Trace got to come back and play a game with the guys Brandon Gary saen here and all your years in Wisconsin Santa claraa did you ever see a trophy like that uh uh I mean yeah my Mr basketball trophy is kind of nice in high school but um nothing as big and heavy as this this is about 50 lbs so it’s uh it’s nice and it’s even sweeter that we got it back from Sacramento hey Brandon you and Trace just got back from Las Vegas for your time with the USA select team what was that experience like for you man it was it was a blessing uh super fortunate that we were blessed with the opportunity and uh you know couldn’t be more thankful for for Grant and and Steve for inviting us out there and just being able to play against the you know 12 14 best American basketball players that we have in the United States on an NBA level it’s just you know something you can’t get anywhere else and I think um for me it was just a confidence booster um you know I came into this game just you know feeling calm and relaxed knowing but I have a bigger role and you know a bigger leadership position and obviously I don’t didn’t play well as as you know as good as I wanted to play but um you know it was a good first time and you know I’m excited to see what the next two in Vegas hold how did you think you guys played uh uh the scrimmages the scrimmages I think me and try played well I think the first day um I just kind of wanted to show that I belonged out there and that I could compete with whomever I’m out there with um playing against so I thought I played really well uh just you know did a bunch of little stuff that I did this past year for Golden State and um just try to compete and have fun and and make the USA guys better cuz um you know they’re trying to bring the gold home in August and Brandon you told us at Summer League media day that your Summer League goals were to work on point of attack def defense and scoring the ball more uh how did you feel you did in those areas today uh I mean I didn’t shoot the three particularly well uman everyone that I shot maybe except the second one felt really good so I’m pleased with that um had some jumpers in the paint which I was pleased with and then um some finishing at The Rim but I think I could just be more efficient especially coming off the ball screen making a decision quicker and um you know we got a little stagnant in the third quarter and they were just super comfortable playing against our def defense cuz we weren’t making anybody feel us and um that’s partially on me um for not um you know inspiring guys to to be ready for the third quarter all right well thanks for your time Brandon congrats on the win thank you see you guys in Vegas see you in Vegas as the Warriors finish up Chase Center play at 3 and0 here at the 2024 California classic they win this one 91 to9 onepoint winners over the Sacramento Kings [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] is
