Montreal Canadiens BLOCKBUSTER TRADE with Winnipeg Jets for Rutger McGroarty? | NHL + Habs Rumours

hey everyone it’s John here from hotaki back with another video Montreal Canadians video talking about ruer mcgi as a trade Target and going back to about a couple weeks ago Habs links citing what Elliot Freeman talked about in 32 thoughts just talking about how Montreal and Minnesota were were in on the morcor talks that it was close to going down as a trade of course if you guys missed it record mcor in his Camp not happy with the Winnipeg jet situation maybe it’s not the city maybe it’s not the team itself but just in terms of a lack of Direction for an opportunity he feels and this is the report that he doesn’t see a path to be on the winipeg Jets roster and that they’re not giving him an opportunity to I mean play be in a top six role whatever it is I know there’s a lot of criticism around him being entitled for that a lot of teams looking in into moror so Montreal Minnesota being two of those teams and now these rumors are coming out that Montreal was offering something somewhat big so Philip mishar a 2025 first round pick and either Justin Baron or Jordan Harris there’s been a lot of rumors around Jordan Harris as a trade Target uh could be an intriguing defense Target who’s fairly young can play bottom pair minutes now maybe more in the future I’ve talked about him being a package to Winnipeg for mcy first round pick and mear the baron one’s interesting to me because I think if that’s on the table you’ve already got the other Baron brother in Winnipeg like if I’m Winnipeg I’m saying yes to that trade if it’s mishar Baron and a first again the first round pick it’s all about your drafting I think for Winnipeg stockpiling those picks maybe use it for a player I think could make some sense but again that’s kind of on the borderline for me depending on this mishar stuff so I’m going to pull up the mishar stuff here guys I would say Montreal’s Prospect pool is pretty wealthy right now like especially the draft that they just had drafting uh haage obviously drafting DEET off early and then yeah guys like Hut Ka Owen Beck uh Montreal’s Prospect pool is looking pretty good like the guys I just listed there probably three top six forwards easily and Hudson’s going to be top four top pair defenseman potentially right so you know what I’m kind of all over the place with Montreal’s Direction right now um I do think that they’re going to make a trade like this I said at the start of the offseason that they were going to make a trade for like I mean last year was the new hook trade year before Kirby dock so I think they’re trying to like trade for those younger 20-year-olds to mold into the Cofield Suzuki era and then of course they just signed SL kovsky to the long-term extension so I think it makes a lot of sense so if there’s ever a scenario where you could just throw like another draft pick like a second or third and it’ be a first Justin Baron and mishar that’s a lot but if I’m monreal I’m doing that right like I would prefer it to be Jordan Harris but if it’s a difference of Baron versus Harris uh and Winnipeg’s may be more attracted to that scenario because it reunites Brothers together I mean I think that’s cool I think it’s fine mcor would be worth it for Montreal so this is what it could look like for Montreal macori for mishar Baron first and third uh this is pck Pia’s new look for their GM site I think there’s still some improvements to be made but uh it’s getting there I actually like the look of it um but for example I was trying to make a lineup and I couldn’t sign mcgi yet from the has perspective so maybe I just don’t know what I’m doing but going to be an interesting perspective with mordi size hypothetically Montreal could have Top Line of Suzuki Coffield and sovi and this is my hot take I think Montreal should take a serious run at Trevor zus as well buddi Hees with Coffield you could spread out the lineup in that scenario you could literally have mcgi zis and Coffield as an All-American line and then you could have zuzuki with sovi and whoever else you want to put on that Wing right like you’ve got options so um give me your thoughts guys subscribe like comment notification bell all that good stuff uh I think wreal has got some moves Kent Hughes surely he has a couple moves up his sleeve I think mcord could be one of them Trevor Zer the other one we’ll see what happens thanks guys talk soon peace
