The Denver Broncos Master Plan Is Coming Together…

The Denver Broncos Master Plan Is Coming Together…

just when the doubt and the hate is getting the absolute loudest Shawn Payton is blocking all of it out and his master plan for the Denver Broncos is coming together perfectly uh in this video we’re going to break down how Shawn pyton has really recreated the 2010 uh New Orleans Saints Super Bowl offense with this current Denver Broncos offense and it is insane to see the similarities between sizes and Route flexibility and just exactly how that is going to help Propel the Denver Broncos to break a 8-year playoff drought uh we’re going to break all that down in a ton more in this video including going over who is the biggest breakout player on this offense if you’re new to the channel I’m Ben I’m a die hard Denver Broncos fan it helps me out a ton if you would hit that like And subscribe button so obviously 2010 Shawn Payton took the league by storm he was way ahead of everyone else that’s why dick Forme said he’s one of the best offensive minds of the entire decade and what he really did was like had different molds of receivers and it is insane to see how those different molds of receivers map to our current roster and our current talent and so starting off just at obviously you have Drew Brees quick decision maker uh very smart player surrounded in the game and didn’t have insane arm Talent like you see with like a Patrick Mahomes he wouldn’t roll to the left and fling it off like but he was quick decision maker and got the ball where it needed to be that is completely mapped out and and fits with B Knicks and we’ve heard that similarity over and over and over again then he had a big bodied receiver in Marcus coulston who he picked up in the seventh round some people are saying is that what he sees for Devon V but if we look not like developmentally but just like who do we have on this roster who is exactly like that and I think we have multiple players who fit the Marquez coulston role uh starting off with our man courland Sutton who went to Camp steady and is throwing with players there is questions about like is courland Sutton going to be on this team long term I think he is and he fits that absolutely perfectly however uh if for whatever reason he ends up getting traded or they don’t sign a deal with him I think we also have that very similar type of player and playmaker in Tim Patrick uh both of them very big bodied players with a huge catch radius that uh really can help take the top off of a defense by you know just going deep and and jump balling and that’s EXA what Marcus coulston did uh the next thing that the Saints offense when it beat PT Manning in that Super Bowl had was it had a slant God and that is always something that’s been a staple of uh Shawn Payton’s offenses is like a guy who just thrives in the middle of the field we know one of the reasons he moved on from Russell Wilson was that Russell Wilson never saw the middle of the field and that’s a huge part of Payton’s offense is like hey I’m going to be designing a play right now for the middle of the field and then when your defense morphs to stop that I’m going to run it to the outside and I need a quarterback who can see two three four five plays ahead that’s what he has in B Knicks and now he’s got a number of players who can fit that Lance Mo rule uh in that offense obviously we know uh he’s he’s also had uh that wide receiver Thomas who is like the the slant God as well and so looking here who could fill that Lance Mo roll I think we got two dudes here that can do that Josh Reynolds also like he’s bigger than Lance Moore was but if we look at how he kind of thrived in the Detroit Lions offense he killed it with the slant route and so I think that is a a really great fit there that we will have him we also have Jaylen Virgil coming back he had a knee injury and if you look at the highlights of him running routes now Not only was he an incredible kick returner in college he also can really Thrive uh with his route running especially in the middle and I I see really awesome mappings there between Jaylen Virgil and Lance Moore and then uh the other person who was actually at Camp City run and routes was Michael Bandy he was a pickup late last year and I I could see him also thriving in that role of of the slot role so then uh we look here the player that like I’m most excited about is like that Tyreek Hill Insane Speedster and that is who we had in uh D Henderson I don’t know if yall remember him but dude was fast ran like a a 4340 who on this roster do we have who everyone is saying is the most likely breakout candidate on this offense who also ran a 4340 but unlike Xavier worthy or uh other players who just have insane fast 40s it seems like the Raiders every year just picked whoever ran the fastest even if they weren’t good in pads or couldn’t catch the ball I think that’s what the Chiefs did in in picking up Xavier worthy as well uh but I think that is Marvin Ms also 4340 speed but the difference here is like Marvin Mims has shown not only his like Breakaway speed but there were several times last year where like uh really those first three games like he was on Pace to have a thousand yards receiving and then everything just flipped and Russell Wilson stopped targeting him so much so that even you remember before that Bills game a Heckler yelled at Marvin Mims like hey I have you on my fantasy team why aren’t you doing good and Marvin Mims is like Russell Wilson never throws me the ball not because he wasn’t open just because he uh you know he was not targeted so looking at his his ability here as a uh a route Runner and just seeing what he had like uh absolutely insane Breakaway speed and and even with that massive underthrow there you see him get that there um watching this play here earlier on in the season against the Chiefs just look at that I mean with press coverage his ability to beat that off the top and right there uh so I see Marvin Mims this year as just being insane Talent here for the Denver Broncos really fitting that Dey Henderson role perfectly and again he was on target or on Pace for a thousand yards receiving and I think we are going to see that from him uh this year and and so I really think that right now the Denver Broncos are built in the mold of the 2010 Saints and you can talk all you want about how we’re only projected to win five games but people doubted the Saints before Shawn Payton did it as well and we then look at the other big aspect of the Saints passing attack it was Jimmy Graham uh it was having a tight end he’s always had a great tight end whether that was Jeremy Shocky he has always made use of that tight end position and whether that is Lucas koll who I think I have very high hopes on we remember at OTAs he Shawn Payton gushed about him huge smile on his face and said the first first time we put him out there everyone’s going to be like who’s 85 and I went up to him and told him people aren’t going to ask that question for long they’re going to know your name Lucas croll and the other part is like Greg doich I I think if he is healthy Greg doul took UCLA by storm was the type of tight end that every single team wanted and the only thing with Lucas uh with Greg doul is his health and so if Greg doul is healthy I I just think there is a massive difference between being bad and being unpr proven and we have players who have a a high ceiling if you go and break down the Chargers wide receivers you’re like you just lost your top two and and now we don’t we can’t even tell you another receiver on this team we have so much receiver talent that we’re going to cut guys who will go and start at other places like we didn’t even talk about Lil Jordan humph we didn’t even uh you know didn’t even talk about Troy Franklin in this video and so we are at a point now where we are so deep uh that it is going to be scary because the Denver Broncos are in the mold of the 2010 New Orleans Saints and then you look at the receiver or the running back room that the New Orleans Saints had Reggie Bush Darren sprouls like those change of pace backs and uh kind of a running back Carousel if you will they were rotating him in there and that’s what the Denver Broncos now have with javante and Jalil and audri EST and Sam perine and I Watson like we are in a really good place here our roster is so much better than uh anyone has given us credit for and that’s partly because of laziness that’s partly just because of people living in fly over country as they’ve said in the past but the Denver Broncos are going to be good and that is something we can all believe in going for the bank let’s go that’s my new shot

Sean Payton has constructed a team that is sneaky similar to the 2010 New Orleans Saints. In this video we are going to break down the similarities between the current Denver Bronco lineup and the Drew Brees lead 2010 New Orleans Saints lineup.

Marques Colston was a big physical receiver who created mismatches against smaller defensive backs. Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick will do this exact thing.

Lance Moore was a reliable slot receiver who was a great route runner. Payton used him in short timing routes, Josh Reynolds, Michael Bandy, and Jalen Virgil fit perfectly in this role.

Devery Henderson was blazingly fast and took the top off the defense constantly. No player maps better to this comp than Marvin Mims who is even faster and more proven than Devery Henderson was.

The ability to make use of all of these different types of receivers is completely dependent on a fast thinking and processing quarterback. A quarterback who doesn’t rely on arm talent to rip the ball into tight windows, but instead knows who is going to be open by reading a defense before the play even begins. No one better fits this mold than Bo Nix who I believe will be our Drew Brees.

Let me know which WR you are most excited about watching this season and how do you think Troy Franklin plays into all of this? I haven’t watched enough Franklin film to know which receiver archetype he fits the most so let me know which role you see him playing!

  1. Saw that the h8rs don't like Coach. Of course there will be similarities from his past squads, but I am hoping Payton finds his Coaching fifth gear this season with this group. We are deep QB, RB, WR, and the D is shaping up nicely. Please let me know when you find the betting service offering+400 on the 5.5 games over/under!

  2. I have to say it's time for everyone to stop repeating or insinuating that Bo Knicks has mediocre arm Talent!! Just because the people that claim to be experts like to repeat the same lie over and over until everyone agrees with them those of us that do know the truth need to push back! There are so many highlights available from Bo Nix showing his incredible arm Talent that it makes me wonder are people just making this claim to cause problems or drama?? There are throws in his games while playing for Oregon that show the exact opposite! Not only was his arm strength incredible his accuracy was some of the most pinpoint throws I've seen! I couldn't find a throw over 20 yards that Bo put the ball imperfect full speed stride for his wide out!! Throwing a football 58 mph on a radar gun is extremely difficult! The only people that beat 58 miles per hour on the gun did so by 2 mph! So explain to me how in God's name how has 99.9% of the national "experts" not only been allowed to lie with no evidence they've convinced people who actually understand the game to repeat that same falsity!??

  3. The one thing that Tim Patrick is most valuable for is contested slant patterns across the middle of the field ! Why? Because he uses true wide receiver fundamentals and catches the ball with his hands !! As time has passed, wide receivers have wrongfully been allowed and encouraged to stop using their hands and instead trap the ball with their body!! Vele also was taught properly and catches every ball with his hands before securing it back to his body!! We have an exciting group of wide receivers .. anyone that doesn't recognize this truth is simply exposing themselves as fake analysts or Denver haters!! It is pretty frustrating to see NFL coaches not blowing a gasket when they're wide receivers drop a perfect pass because instead of using their hands they never even reach and wait for the ball to come into bucket! When watching Vele, Patrick, Franklin, Mims, and Reynolds, you realize they all use their hands! It's almost like wide receivers have forgotten the greatest compliment any wide receiver could get. Remember "Nice Hands" ?? I have never heard hey coach tell anyone hey way to be lazy with your hands!!

  4. A difference between bad and unproven. What a novel idea! Yep, that's the truth. It's odd to me that some unproven players still get the support of the pundits. Take Jerry Jeudy, for instance. He never played in Denver as big as we expected him to. He is so quick, and I truly believed there was no defensive back who could cover him. But that's not the way he played. Still, pundits believe in him. Maybe it's because he played in Alabama and Bo played in Auburn and Oregon. I don't know. But I believe in our roster. I just worry about corner back. We have our slot guy and we have our #1 corner. It's just a matter of who can play opposite Pat. Camp will show us what we have.

Nice bank shot, BTW. Good idea to stick with that.

  5. Ben…you are nothing if not entertaining. 😂

Fun Fact; In the only season he played in the NFL, Sean Payton was one of SEVEN quarterbacks on the 1987 Chicago Bears roster, a roster in which a whopping 99 players played in at least one game, including him. One of Sean's fellow bench warmer QBs on that Bears roster was Jim Harbaugh. The starting QB Payton & Harbaugh both played behind for the 1987 Bears (Jim McMahon) wore #9 & he won two Super Bowl rings…one more than the guy Payton coached (Drew Brees) to a Super Bowl title & he wore #9 too. Harbaugh coached JJ McCarthy to Michigan's 2025 NCAA title & he wore #9 as well.

IF Payton is really trying to copy the 2010 Saints…wouldn't he have NIx trade jersey numbers with punter Riley Dixon? The 2010 New Orleans Saint who wore #10…was BACKUP QB Chase Daniels. 🥺😦😩
