as unfortunate as it is for the fans of the other 29 teams in the NBA the Boston Celtics more than likely will win another championship this year and there’s a very good chance they three repeat they go out they get Baylor shyan in the draft the guy that canit of the rotation from day one they have the number one offensive rated team of all time and they play eight guys I mean it’s not like there’s a wink link among them they’ve given out big extensions so the entire core is here for the next two to three years at least and then Baylor shyan can replace Sam Hower eventually although not this year he’s not that good yet um he’s definitely a scheme fit I think he’s going to fit right in with what Brad Stevens and Joe Missoula have built which is the best offense that I’ve ever seen I mean this team as a cohesive unit is so beautiful just watch this play Al Horford is going to take Daniel Gafford with him to the corner Drew holiday is going to set a slip screen Luca is going to stay up and the fifth option is there getting a bucket at The Rim but he is more than a fifth option he is extremely Elite on the def side of the ball he can guard the one through five you just saw him clamp up Julius Randle now he’s going to absolutely suffocate Jaylen Brunson with the ball in his hands remember in Milwaukee he was the number two maybe number three option depending on Chris Middleton’s availability um 19 points a game seven assists five rebounds two time all defensive first team and now in Boston he’s come and settled in as the fifth option offensively and he guards the one through five um give me that just when you think you get by him he comes back um with Chris TOS now guarding Tobias Harris in this picture here you have the guard on guard ball screen action for the Celtics defensively and Drew holiday is going to Bluff like he’s going to guard at The Rim comes back for the steal leaks out for the easy dunk easy money now he’s guarding Joel and beat um he forces him into an air ball interesting shot selection right there from Joelle but Drew holiday is so huge for the Celtics team you also have Al Horford and then once again you see Drew holiday Sam Hower in here feeding Jaylen Brown this is an absolutely beautiful play here two guys go over the dribble handoff Drew holiday slips it Maxi clayber has to rotate over PJ Washington has to rotate down and Josh Green doesn’t get there in time so Jaylen Brown is hanging from the rim and Jaylen Brown I mean he is he’s probably not the best player I’d probably give Tatum the best player award but golly if he’s not close um he’s got this pullup he he’s developed his pull-up jumper enough because he’s so good at Getting By You hero is really sitting on him getting into the rim and then he just hesy pulls makes Tyler hero almost fall down that is if he’s doing that if he’s hitting side step threes especially then he is nearly unguardable because he is so electric when he gets downhill and in transition he and Tatum both are nearly Unstoppable going downhill Relentless at The Rim so much athleticism here he is again um he’s got two open driving Lanes check out cam Thomas locking up not even in the screen uh but a pump fake and then knocks it down in his face just freezes the defender with that pump fake he’s an absolute transition nightmare as well as he gets going downhill he is incredibly tough to stop and he will finish over you this is the four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year that he just baptizes here puts him in the rim and flexes on him out of bounds Look Out Mr goar and then you have Jason Tatum um yes he’s the corniest player in the league but he is still very very good the entire offense for Boston revolves around Jason t and Jaylen Brown and both of them are very very good at what they do here he is slashing to the rim Jaylen Brown was also wide open for the three there once again slashing breaking down this defense they are both automatic paint touches it’s nearly impossible to keep them both in front and accounted for and when Tatum gets going downhill he is so good puts pton Watson into the front row right here after this dunk Get Up young man Tatum is also a very very underrated passer he sees here early in the play W before it develops even Jaylen Brown WI open on the left side of the court for the open three ball and then once again when he remembers he is 6’9 and gets downhill he is dangerous I mean a facial on Daniel Ty there Paul’s that of course but I mean once again coming off the screen here and dunking on people like he should be driving so much more I know he shoots 38% from three which makes him even harder to stop um he’ll be 26 for the majority of next season he likes this little spin-off move too he just did it in the Olympic uh showcase and dunked on Xavier Tillman is former their future teammate um Jaylen Brown driving here finding uh Derek white and just overall all four of their I guess you could say guards in the starting lineup all four of their Playmakers can drive kick it’s a drive and kick offense and they are so so good at it because even Drew holiday and Derek white the fourth and fifth options are Elite at it and I mean they had eight players make over 100 three-pointers Jason Tatum made 229 at a 38% clip that is very very good Sam Hower almost made 200 coming in just short at 197 same thing for Derrik white coming in at 196 I mean that this team is they took what the Warriors did with their backourt and just blew it up and made it for their entire team shoot as many threes as possible Pritchard made 147 Jaylen Brown 145 Drew holiday 138 Chris stops 110 and just 57 games played and then Al Horford 108 Off the Bench their bench unit also deserves a little bit more credit than it gets pton Pritchard Sam Hower and Al Horford even though Pritchard didn’t get as much PT down the line of the playoffs um but I think that Baylor shyman is going to fit right in he made 110 threes in just 35 games if he would have played a full 82 Game season he would have made 254 that’s what he was on track for he was 12th in division one in three-pointers made so he’s obviously going to fit right in this is a drive and kick based offense where the catch and shoot three is extremely important but he’s also also good off the bounce mean he averaged 18 and a half points nine boards four assists in 37 minutes so doing just about everything very very smooth Lefty jumper yes it has a little bit of a time to get the release off but 45% from the field 38% from three I’m taking Bor absolutely robbing everybody here that pick uh they got in the KP trade went on to be used in the Drew Holiday trade so I mean just beautiful job there by Brad Stevens um they also handed out some money here lately Tatum got five years 315 million a huge bag and then Derek white got four years 126 big time money right there handed out by the Boston Celtics and for Brad Stevens in the front office they have to hit on these draft picks um as you can see here everybody’s locked up but that does mean that you have no cap space going forward I mean Jaylen Brown Jason Tatum both making over 50 million Drew holiday KP and Dereck white making 30 at least um Derek white will be by the end of his contract so everybody’s locked up you have to hit on these picks Sam Hower probably will not be able to be retained by the time he’s a free so you have your first in 2025 2026 and 2027 shout out to Brad Stevens for keeping all those by the way and then the swap in 28 so you really only have one
