what’s going on jeromes so it’s Friday uh but starting off with some sad news so Monty kein one of the greatest defensive mindes in uh football history uh passed away uh at the age of 84 and yeah so Monte kein what’s going on jeromes so it’s Friday and uh starting off with some uh sad news so Monty kein one of the greatest defensive Minds in football history uh passed away uh this week at the age of 84 uh and the Vikings um as well as Old Miss put out some nice uh words and thoughts our thoughts are with the friends and family of former Vikings assistant coach Monty kein during this difficult time of course Monty is the father of Lane kein uh NFL coach uh college coach uh you know great offensive mind as well and he tweeted out my hero uh NC State and at the Vikings so times when you know when Monty was with the wolf pack as well as with the Vikings uh some some great memories there also L Lane’s looking good in in that Vikings uh merchandise it’s a good man uh but uh Monte kein was with the Vikings as a player uh in training camp in 1964 and then spent eight years with the Vikings as an assistant over two stints including defense coordinator in 1991 uh with Jerry Burns so yeah 84 years young um you know long full life and you know got to share uh his passion for football and coaching with his son and his family and that’s something that’s really beautiful uh Kyrie Jackson uh his candalite vigil uh was held on Wednesday at the University of Oregon and the Ducks did did a great job and they had uh you know a couple speakers former teammates um you know Kyrie’s parents uh you know his father Raymond uh spoke as well and I mean it’s it’s really tragic and it did show the impact that Kyrie had on everyone around him like just a a young man full of brightness and positivity and it’s just unfortunate uh but also uh Oregon head coach Dan Lanning uh spoke uh and vix fan page put this together quote uh Kyrie is one of those people that I enjoyed every single day getting to go to work with him and see that big smile you’re going to have a hard time finding a picture floating around that is Kyrie in it that doesn’t have a big smile on it and Landing went on to talk about how Kyrie had this goal of making the NFL and he did it and it was just a long long road to get there but he did it and that perseverance that determination and positivity through it all uh I think can be a very good lesson to to everyone so yeah great job by the University of Oregon um so hard transition um so the NFL receiver documentary is rolling along and yeah I mean there’s other parts besides Justin frck and Jefferson although I haven’t seen it but this was from the trailer where you the Vikings playing the Niners Monday Night Football big time win Jordan Addison uh Breakout game was beautiful uh but Harrison Smith uh you made a very clean and routine play on 49ers tight end jumping George KD and just sort of hit him in the ding-ding uh purple persuasion 49ers Titan George KD after getting hit in the groin by Viking safety Harrison Smith last season hey Harrison you hit me in the effing so he was he was referring to his anatomy and then he was calling harison an effing Anatomy which which is just F like it it is so funny when players are miked up and when they allow themselves to forget that they’re miked up because otherwise like it’s just like like oh hermetically sealed oh they’re hearing everything I’m saying so I better be good no when you get legitimate like football talk on the field it’s great man it is really good also really good uh from the receiver documentary is Devonte Adams who I can say this now that he’s not a greasy grimy Green Bay Packer but Devonte Adams is one of the better receivers over the past decade he should be a Hall of Famer so there there actually they’ll be close uh Vikes fan page uh Raiders wide receiver Devonte Adams on Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson a quote I watch his tape all the time people don’t talk about his hands and types of catches enough I truly don’t know if I’ve seen him drop a football end quote now hopefully that doesn’t Jinx things uh but Jefferson so thing about Jefferson is not he’s not the biggest he’s not the fastest he’s not the strongest he doesn’t jump the highest doesn’t have the largest catch radius but he is so good at all the ancillary things that you can work on like you can work on becoming a better route Runner you can work on having better hands you can work on oh Al I noticed this about Jefferson his rookie year and you can’t unsee it like once you once you look at it he’s always falling forward right so he he’s always whenever he gets tackled like he always finds a way to fall forward always getting an extra half yard or a yard because you know part of it is his agility his facial awareness and all that stuff where he it’s very rare for a Defender to get a very clean hit on Jefferson which is a big part of his game as well uh but you know when the wrapping him up bring him to the ground he just has this Knack of always falling forward positively most of the time and I I feel like that’s a skill set in itself because it literally adds you know half a yard a yard two yards to every single play and that adds up and that that does matter like you on second down you make a play you fall forward versus just being tackled where where you stand and you go from second and uh third and seven to Third and five that’s a big difference yeah uh but Jefferson does have great hands and I feel like he he he he has all the soft skills that that are amazing for a receiver right it’s just game respects game that’s awesome also respect the game so unreal Co put this out who else caught Justin Jefferson wearing the unreal times Vikings hoodie uh in the new Netflix show receiver now I’m not going to lie this is one of my favorite hoodies and unreal Co did fantastic with us last year we got a couple of them and it’s just I see the hype I I see the hype because so when they did the you know version one of ver uh you it was always like limited so part of the marketing was The Limited Supply it’s like oh we got some and and they’re gone right but now it’s like it’s so soft I I will say that you do have to take be careful taking it off because so one time I I I snapped myself with one of these things and it hit my my eye and it was just like oh L this is it I’m a cyclops now but no but the thing about it is like they’re they’re warm but they’re not overly hot like they breathe the material is good and also it’s it’s thin so you can wear it when it’s warmish out it’s very good this wasn’t a sponsored post but it was just I just really like the hoodie anyways uh but also it’s cool to see uh you Jeff because Jefferson wearing that hoodie that that’s marketing that you can’t buy right just sending all these athletes uh a ton of free gear and then maybe they they were and maybe they end up in a Netflix documentary it’s awesome man speaking of gear uh so the Vikings winter warrior jerseys are now on uh sale or pre-order uh Justin frak and Jefferson looking good now couple things here so I I know that the officially licensed jerseys have gone away from you know the stitched on numbers which it’s kind of a big deal for me like I feel like if you’re going to invest invest like if you’re going to go get yourself a jersey you know try to get the one with the stitched on numbers and just really get something uh that’s going to hold up something that’s going to be nice something that you could wear for for a long time I mean that’s you what we got with the you know the Moss and Carter jerseys the whole old school Mitchell and Nest stuff right now they they don’t really have like the sod on numbers anymore with the official license stuff and I I’m not advocating but I I know I know that a lot of people do get jerseys from overseas well we’ll just say right and I like I’ve rolled the dice before sometimes it’s awesome sometimes it’s not but I feel like it should be caveat empor bu buy or beware uh you’re you’re taking a chance and if you’re fine with that you’re fine with that there you go uh speaking of taking a chance so tassy tyon signed up Jamal Adams who Jamal Adams is not safety Jamal Adams is basically a linebacker Jamal Adams I cover better than Jamal Adams that’s all man but you know he he’s had a interesting career going from you know the Jets and the Seahawks and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah right and even though like he’s skull he’s LSU Alum like I never had the inkling to be like he should be sksu I I don’t get it man but what’s funny is it started out as a meme but basically there there’s so many name players I I was going to say great players but Jamal Adams is on this graphic uh like there’s so many name players who go to Tennessee just to hammer one more check before it’s over I mean Julio Randy Moss you forget that Randy Moss was at a Titan but but then he saddled up again with the ners and went to the Super Bowl so that’s something there Adrien Peterson was there Jamal Adams like we said uh clown shoes Andre Johnson was a freaking Titan you forget that I don’t know there’s just something about the uniform is that once a player puts it on they just look washed and that kind of stinks because I kind of like the Titans back in the day like the Steve McNair uh Eddie George uh you know Kevin Dyson at the one yard line reaching losing to the Rams Javon kurse those are good teams man speaking of good teams oh that’s a really good transition so me and producer Ally uh we so about once a month or every other month uh we try to go to to dinner and usually something Asian in the North Metro and it’s good times it’s fantastic time we went to jpot in Maplewood uh which is in the old Pizza Ranch which I feel like it’s just Vengeance from Kurt’s cousins but it’s a great spot so often times like Korean barbecue or hot pot places will be like small areas sort of condensed but this one of course used to be a Pizza Ranch so this thing is like airplane hanger uh and this isn’t sponsored but there’s fantastic we got the hot poot and the Korean barbecue and so we got the we have the meats is glorious man just just really good uh the meats was Meats were fantastic and also so obviously marinated short ribs are the goat the goat for Korean barbecue but also lamb can be dicey right so lamb so places like this uh you know when they get their lamb usually supported usually like New Zealand stuff and it can be a roll of the dice and the lamb can be sort of gamey sort of chewy sometimes this was fantastic this was honestly some of the best lamb that I’ve had in a you know Korean barbecue type situation it was fantastic it was just really really like it was fresh uh it was delicious uh it was great with the sauces it it was good but more moreover producer alley is a great dinner companion because well so first off she she doesn’t gnaw on the uh on the short ribs bones so we cut it off with the Korean scissors which before I started going to Korean barbecue I I I didn’t have the Korean mom scissors in the kitchen now I have them and now they’re indispensable but you’re cutting it off the bone then I get the knot on the bone and all like the tendons and stuff feeling like a caveman it’s glorious man it’s good times yeah uh but yeah sending uh sending out into the weekend of the high note prod producer Alie Rockstar she’s fantastic uh but that’s it uh you guys know what to do you guys are the best skull production value
