hi everybody welcome into the wager talk TV YouTube channel I’m Tony Mahia from sportsmemo.com hope you are looking forward to a great weekend hope it’s a profitable one we have an MLB free pick video for you with one of the early starts on Friday as the final series before the MLB allstar Hiatus uh kickoff uh we had one game in last night for these new series with the Mariners destroying the Angels 11 to nothing but the other 14 Series start up and one of the first ones to get underway is the Dodgers against the Tigers and I bet you would have gotten a lot of money from uh unsuspecting people by saying the tigers are going to be favored in game one of that series before the season began but that is indeed the case as Al sa Young Award front runner Tariq skubel will take the mound for the Tigers as a minus 140 favorite for the full game against the Dodgers who sent James Paxton into the mound and it’s it’s just a matter of pitching matchup in current form that have the uh LA Dodgers as an underdog inica park today for the series opener doesn’t uh help that mooki bets remains out so uh it is what it is it’s a fair line and we’re going to try to take advantage of a couple of factors here for starters I would definitely not talk you off the Tigers here uh but I would recommend a first five bet if you’re going to go that route and it might be a little extra juicy minus 145 or so uh but you want to avoid bullpens at all costs whenever possible and although scoble can uh certainly work into the seventh and eighth inning here you don’t want to take those chances and you want him at his sharpest since he’s basically the backbone of this bet uh scoble 10 and three with a 2.37 ER this season 0.90 whip uh he’ll pitch in the All-Star Game they let him I think he probably will get an inning we’ll see if he starts uh I I know Paul SK was named as the NL starter so that’s great for that rookie scoble is 6 and0 with a 1.74 ER at home he’s got quality starts in three straight so certainly uh is in form on and James Paxton takes the M for the Dodgers he’s seven and two which is a great record but just a 4.24 ra and a 1.40 whip uh but here here’s where I’m going with this in terms of my bet and this is a client play so I’ll share it with all of you for watching this video I appreciate it make sure you smash that like button for me uh as a reward but I’m going first 500 and there are some four and a halfs available and the reason why is because the tigers first of all they struggle against left-handed pitching uh Paxton is a southpaw and uh pax’s also a Canadian so he may have some friends and family in town as uh Detroit is basically across the street street from the border from Canada so we’ve got we’ve got those factors in play and the fact that the Tigers have not faced a left-hander since June 30th so all of July they have not faced a left-handed starter uh to be clear so uh that should be interesting they did hit Tyler Anderson hard the last Lefty they saw but uh it was a pair of big three-run Innings a weird inside the park home run from Justin Henry Malloy and then another three- run bomb from Carson Kelly that did the bulk of the damage there uh in a six results so uh I I trust Paxton to potentially get through five innings and then I trust scoble to uh pitch well against the Dodgers Dodgers come in off a three- game sweep against the Phillies and they got really were embarrassed at the plate tough series for Shi Otani um went multiple uh games in clutch situations much of with uh struggles and CS like he struck out yesterday with the bases low and it was made to look bad on a on a really good pitch from uh from Aaron Nola so Otani while me Mortals wouldn’t scoff at four for 15 that’s his current form he’s struck out six times I don’t think he bet on himself right now uh and the Dodgers are have been outscored 28 to7 over their last four games uh again Otani over for four with two strikeouts yesterday Dodgers are just three and seven over their last 10 three and six in July uh Detroit’s won a couple of games in a row they have uh won seven of nine and uh and won three or four against division leading Cleveland so they’re feeling good about themselves as they take the field at home with their Ace on the mound so if you want to ride in full game wouldn’t talk you off it I recommend uh a uh first five play if you’re going on the side and I love the total at under four and a half runs especially if you can get that with scoble being as good at home as he is uh Paxton doesn’t have much of a history against uh against tigers hitters um he missed so much time and the tigers are so young basically didn’t pitch for two and a half Seasons uh Mark canah though has hit him hard three for 12 with a home run uh Gio orella hasn’t walked so that’s it limited history for Tigers headers against James Paxton and against Tariq scoel tiscar Hernandez is two for two with a double Otani 0 for three with a with a strikeout Kik Hernandez is 0 for two newly acquired Kavon viio is one for three with a double so that’s pretty much it and we we’re going to ride the first five under and again my leans would be to the Tigers uh first five uh money line so that means if you are tied entering the sixth you push and uh you know no harm no foul smash that like button like I said make sure you’re
