The core is much younger than the average age. We tend to fill out the bottom 6 with older players or reclaimation projects on cheaper contracts. It’s by design from what I can tell.

Weird to get this stat when we don’t know the the roster of any nhl team. We don’t know which rookies are going to get NHL time. Basically the worst time to get this stat.

This doesn’t really matter if we’re performing well, but I guess it does show the value in getting some of our younger guys in the lineup too
