[Meirov] Jamal Adams’ deal with the #Titans is a one-year veteran salary benefit contract with $1.125M guaranteed. It’s a low-risk, potentially high-reward move by Tennessee, who will be getting a rejuvenated Adams.

  1. We had folks freaking out over Adams only for him to be taking the ultimate prove it deal. I’m sorry, washed allegations or not, $1.25 mil for a 3x All-Pro who is still 28 years old is damn good. Especially when you consider the fact that Dennard Wilson was his coach during his most productive years.

  2. Holy shit, that’s a fucking steal. I still feel like we are in the market for Justin Simmons, still have the money

  3. I actually like this deal a lot now. Worse case is he’s a backup in which that’s still a good contract

  4. This is why you always wait to see the details of the contract before making any conclusions.

This deal is insane value. High upside with essentially zero risk. It’s a win-win for all parties involved.

Jamal Adams gets the ultimate prove it deal. Titans gain safety/LB depth. Dennard Wilson gains a player he is familiar with and who was partially responsible for their (Adams) best years as a pro.

Let Ran Cook. Trust the process. Trust the vision. Ran, Cali, and Dennard know what they’re doing. Titan upp!

  5. A contract light enough to walk away from if he gets dejuvenated after 5 games.

  6. Some of y’all are shocked. Did you really think Ran paid big money for this guy?

    Come on, bruh

  7. Won’t the organization please think of the overreacting drama queen fans and sign him to 4 years, 100 mill, 100% guaranteed???

  8. People in r/NFL acting like this guy is one injury from the nursing home at 28 years old

  9. Seahawks fan here, this dude, despite playing the most horrible, eye burning unwatchable pass coverage to exist, can somehow make up for it with a fucking ridiculous ability to get in the pocket. I don’t know much about the Titans roster, but as long as your corners and other safeties are doing their jobs properly, he should be able to offer instant upside

  10. I see no downside with this, worst case is he’s washed and it’s minimal cap ramifications, best case scenario he finds his old ways and is pro bowl caliber with minimal cap ramifications

  11. We collectively have been burned by JRob in the past with a signing like Adams, but Ran is truly putting in a masterclass with his FA deals.

I do have hope that they still get Simmons with all the money is left over.
