  1. Gut wrenching loss aside, if you told me we’d be 54-42 at the ASB after starting 7-13, I’d be thrilled. Lots of baseball left to take the central 💪🏼

  2. “I know I haven’t done anything offensively today, but what if I launch this ball into the stands? Will that help?”

    – Brooks Lee

  3. All it took was a 200 million dollar payroll and the Twins missing half their lineup for the Giants to win the series

  4. Lee really had a rough one today. 0-4, error allowing the winning run to score, bad throw on the blown double play leading to the first run.

At the end of the day though it’s just one of those games. Plenty of time to reset over the break and a good first half overall.

  5. Twins defense has had some brutal moments of late. Two more today.

Ultimately, losing two of three on the road to a ~.500 team isn’t a travesty especially when they had won the previous 6 series.

Today was a frustrating one though

  6. dear Twins, you disappointed u/cyclingE at the two games she attended.

    Shame on you….

    And now we rest…………

  7. Twins definitely looked like a team that doesn’t play here often. Holy hell.

  8. Much needed break for this offense. We have not been sharp since we played Houston. See you guys in a week

  9. Little League Walk-off Home Run.

Ouch. Glad we don’t have to go back to Oracle Park.

  10. The first half last year ended on a forgettable game and the team under .500. Bad loss today, but all things considered, the break couldn’t have come at a better time. Playing overall well, but starting to deal with injuries. A luxury of not having a lot of all stars is the guys will have a chance to rest, relax, and recover. Enjoy the break and come back ready to go for an important second half

  11. If not for playing defense like 6 year olds Twins would have swept.  Embarrassing as hell

  12. Pretty stupid way to end the first half of the season with two miscues on one play.

  13. That loss was on Rocco. Not starting Buck in CF, not giving veteran support around Lee. Rocco just gave up.

  14. This is one of those games where it’s like “maybe there are too many games in a season, if we’re being honest”

  15. So why didn’t they move Margot to LF and put Buxton in CF after pinch running in the 9th?

  16. Didn’t watch the game. Just wondering, what’s up with Buxton not staying in CF in the 9th? Is he still hurt from Friday? He might have caught that triple
