If you watch a commentator talk over Mahomes doing these plays, they will always say “only Mahomes can do this!”

I love seeing our FB on so many of these pass plays
Watching this with the NFL Primetime music gives me goosebumps.
Brock’s movement in the pocket and scrambling ability is already among the best in the league. And it’s only going to get better. It’s amazing how many think he’s unathletic (which is basically what “system QB” is code for).

It’s like visual poetry if that makes sense. It’s such a great feeling to have a competent guy back there making plays. We had that revolving door after Kaep with Gabbert, Beathard, Mullens & Hoyer. Jimmy was so inconsistent and in and out of the lineup and Trey didn’t even have a chance with bad luck and whatnot. Just need an above average O-Line and good luck with injuries 🤞

Dude’s gonna kill me with these cross-body throws, but he somehow makes it work. I’m kinda over the whole debate. It’s pretty obvious that he isn’t a system QB at this point. The real argument is where in the top 5-10 one wants to place him.
How nice is it, for the first time since 2002 to go into the season not needing to worry about our QB?
This is the stuff that Jimmy G was never really capable of, especially after he hurt his knee.

He is a top 10 QB and has only played 1 full season.
He is more than good enough to win a SB with. No excuse for why we couldn’t get it done this past February. Shanahan has failed to close it out despite 4 NFCCG’s and 2 SB’s in 5 years. If we fail to win a SB before his rookie contract expires then he needs to go

Brock Purdy is 100% a system QB, if “yeah dude we’re not gonna block for you so just go make some magic on your own” is a system
Jesus Christ. I didn’t notice how abysmal our O line could be at times. I’m usually a defender but Jesus I just noticed how dog shit they are on some plays
