MLB had him ranked 34th overall. Once again, absolute steal at 116th overall
What was the reason for the slide?
Almost certainly the first pick will be well under slot and this will be well over. Similar to what we did with Harrison
Wow, we got two guys forecasted as first round picks in a draft where we didn’t have a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Not sure how we’re going to do it in terms of slot money, but hopefully we can sign them both!
Reading at his profile, ridiculous bat speed (tops in class), plus power, exit velocity, arm has gotten stronger, not plus.
Kinda reminds me of Blaze Jordan a couple of years back. He was drafted out of HS by the Redsox when they lost their first round pick for cheating. He’s worth a shot. His tools scream power, but needs a lot of refinement. By now we have all seen how most picks won’t workout. That’s cool. You want to give yourself the chance on hitting something. I like this pick. His upside is ridiculous good. Good pick Farhan.
I assume he has signability issues. He is a sophomore, so he has leverage.
