  1. Nah, the whole reason Atlanta paid the man $30M is because of what he did with the White Sox. Compare his 2021 and 2022 stats to 2024—especially WHIP, FIP, and xERA—and you’ll see he pitched as well or better those seasons as he’s pitching now.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a big step for him to do this as a starter. But he wasn’t some reclamation project that Atlanta fixed. The dude was already developed and established as one of the league’s best high-leverage relievers before he ever left the White Sox organization.

  2. To be completely fair, he did have some stretches of being very good in Chicago.

He’s obviously been better than ever with Atlanta as a starter but I would like to see him put it together for multiple seasons before saying it was completely the Sox fault.

  3. 10 million dollars a year for a top starter? What team do you think you’re rooting for, the Brewers? Now let me tell you about this AA pitcher we got with a nasty breaking ball…

  4. He is overperforming so much over there. His statcast page is a ton of grey and blue. Is he performing well? Yes, but is it sustainable? No

  5. Reylo was lights out at times but at other points he looked like the biggest dumb dumb alive.)

  6. Yeah. The Sox developed the shit of this dude. He was already a starter and a pretty decent one when we traded him.
