After the Lakers’ Summer League loss to the Celtics, Bronny James is a combined 0-15 from 3 point range in the Summer League

Tonight specifically, Bronny put up 2/3/1 on 1-5 FG and 0-3 3PT

  1. I don’t think Bronny could even ride the bench in G league. Dude is really really bad

  2. After Bronny made that one tough fadeaway in the 4th (his only points), the crowd cheered like he was a make a wish kid 💀

  3. Bronny is legit so bad. Lakers aren’t going to win a Summer League game if he plays 20+. It’s a joke.

  4. An undersized athlete who doesn’t have *any* basketball skills.

Would have been one thing to just take a flyer on him with the 55th pick but then they guaranteed his contract for four years. Whoops!

  5. He truly looks like he belong on the L.A. Fitness rec squad and not the Lakers. Every player who took the court tonight was better than him.

  6. If you need a scale for how bad Bronny is just consider that you don’t see 95% of players who manage to score 15-20 ppg in Summer League ever again

  7. Second-hand embarrassment from the way grown-ass Lakers fans in the crowd practically had an orgasm when dude made one shot late in the game, and then booed when he was called for a clear out of bounds.

  8. Took 3 threes tonight. Hit 1 backboard and had 2 airballs. Celtics weren’t even guarding him most the night. Like to start the game the Celts had Nemias Queta (their 7 footer) guarding him, so he could roam in the paint.

Like I don’t want to hate on a man for attempting to live out his dream of being an NBA player, but he looks so bad.

  9. We all knew he only got drafted because of nepotism, but I hoped he could at least show something or just not completely embarass himself. Even with these low expectations, he has failed miserably.

I thought I saw some potential after his first two games because of his defence but clearly he is no where near being an nba prospect and probably not good enough for the G league either. His offense is atrocious, can’t hit a 3 at all.

  10. Can’t wait for bronny to be in the gleague the talk needs to die down. Bad for bronny and bad for basketball

  11. Lebron’s obsession with trying to make Bronny an NBA player before he was ready (if he ever will be) is backfiring and turning his son into a punchline. Great move.

  12. Thought he’d be bad but damn I thought maybe he’d show a little something. Not really good in any offensive skill. His defense was suppose to be his strength but that is not really impressive. Maybe if he works hard he can develop into a rotation player but he’s got a long ways to go.

  13. It’s a shame his dads selfish goals are going to kill the kid’s career. Should’ve just encouraged him to stay in college and hopefully develop into a passable NBA player. It’s not like a basketball mind like Lebron can’t see the kid just isn’t ready, even with nepo-goggles.

Instead Bronny’s looking like he’s going to be 10x worse than Westbrook ever was (in LA), will likely fuck up the lineups when JJ is forced to play him to appease daddy, and he’s going to be out the league the day his dad retires.

The kid is kinda fucked unless he makes an unheard of leap in the next year or two. Only bright side is Lebron’s fans (who seem to be a large portion of LAL fans) are pretty supportive of the kid, so hopefully his mental health doesn’t suffer.

  14. Bronny is playing 4-D chess. Be shit during summer league so during the regular season you’re left open then all of a sudden turn into a f*cking sniper

  15. Shout out to those commenters who were smug about Bronny having some good combine shooting numbers. Anyone with a speck of common sense could have told you this was going to be the outcome. He’s going to maybe start the first game with his dad and then be reserved for deep garbage time for the remainder of his time in the NBA.

  16. I feel bad for the whole situation. It would be much better for his development if he just persisted in college and only got a contract when he was up to G-League standard. At least he would stand a chance of building his game up to the NBA level. Right now his career is a train wreck that no one can ignore.

Can’t help but look at Scotty Pippen Jr who went through 3 years of college, built his game in the G-League and is now a useful player.

  17. My favorite part was when they said Bronny just said he’s in a slump right now lol yeah like this mf was ever on to begin with. Bronny makes Thanasis look like George Gervin.

  18. Lol I love how Killian Hayes was put in the worst situation possible and is still ripped on even though he’s out of the league, and nobody defends him or says I feel bad for him. But bronny has grown adults crying for him because of who his dad is.

  19. I dont blame lakers for drafting him. I don’t blame lakers for not signing him to a 2way deal. I blame them for giving him a 4 yr contract. College players with accolades up the wazoo don’t get a 4 yr contract as a 2nd round pick.

The only thing going for him professionally is that lebron is in his corner. I’m sure lebron will and has provided the best instructors, chefs, trainers, etc

  20. Seeing him play in an nba game is going to genuinely be “make a wish kid” stuff. Lakers gonna have to be up 30 against us or the wizards or something.

  21. Bronny looks like the absolute worst basketball player to ever sign a multi year contract in the history of the nba & im not exaggerating at all
