  1. Not at all surprising. I don’t know why people were so sure he would suddenly become a defender.

  2. i got a lot a flak for this take but i wanted to trade Walker + Hield + pick(s) to portland for Jrue Holiday last summer and i can’t stop thinking about what could have been…

  3. He does not fit with this team, and I don’t think he is in the rotation to start the season.

Would you play him over Sheppard, Mathurin, or Obi right now?

  4. I didn’t watch a lot of tape on Jarace in college. Was he ever a dominant on ball defender? Or was he a guy who kind of floated around and made plays, getting a lot of steals and blocks? Most of the highlights I saw of him were of the latter.

  5. That’s not the full story he had a bunch of good moments on defense in this game with a bunch of bad to be sure. It was a mixed bag.

  6. jarace is interesting because we drafted him because of his defensive potential/capability in college understanding the offense was raw, but the opposite has ended up true. he looks pretty solid on offense lol (especially the jumper)

  7. He has a tendency to ball watch into terrible spots on the floor. If he leaves his man in help, I never ever see him rotate back. Watched him get blown by several times past few games. Need the ghost of Dan Burke to sprinkle defense dust on him. He’s still young so I have hope, but the defensive end has been discouraging so far. That shooting stroke and passing chops on the other end I have been pleasantly surprised with.

  8. Every time I watch him play he looks out of control. Jumping in the air with no where to go and throws it right to a defender. 8 turnovers today.
