Talking out of my ass here but I don’t understand why he wouldn’t move to free safety, he’s a good tackler and field commander, the reason there’s 64 guys ahead of him is because of the insane depth of the position lately and he’s old, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do the math
Impressive he was still starting games at corner at 33. I’m sure many teams will be interested in him as a rotational piece. Maybe we should bring him back…
What is he wanting to get paid? I imagine that’s the answer as to why he hasn’t gotten a job yet. Wouldn’t mind bringing him back but he’d be taking a spot of someone young trying to develop more and gone before we can compete
He’s lost a few steps from his prime, he’s a decent CB and a great CB3, he could probably reinvent himself as a free safety with his age to keep his career going.

The man balled out for us, won DPOY, and then balled out for the colts after he left, he is definitely at the end of his career but either way, I got respect for this man for sure, and I’ll always be a fan.

Is it about the money? I don’t think anyone can comprehend the amount of money owners make. Did you see the lawsuit from the Sunday Ticket case? 4.8 billion split among the owners it’s based on the extra money made to out of market broadcasts. They make just off broadcast rights 20 billion per year.
There are 64 corners that are good enough to play in the NFL, durable enough to make it 12-14 games without a major injury (no one makes it 16, let alone 17 these days) and that will take 5-7 mil/year.
bring him back we have so much cap space, a 1 year contract literally is nothing to us

No he’s to expensive for what he can do now. He’s still good enough don’t get me wrong but he’s not winning a DPOY again but he’s asking closer to DPOY money
I think he could be an amazing corner is certain spots. Cover 2 with safety help, in press backed up or even in the slot against 4 wide receiver sets. Basically situations where he doesn’t have to guard 25+ yard routes
