[Music] I’m excited t i to be at the ESPN sb’s Week sports humanitarian Awards with my good friend Steve gon and his family it’s just so good to be back around the crew and get everyone back together and really honor not only Steve and all the work he does team but all these other amazing organizations that deserve a lot of credit for all the service they do it’s very exciting especially now it’s a difficult life and lots of times we just kind of wait for the next thing that can you know build them up and give them some more you know feel love and supported and this is one of those things and it’s really exciting we have our whole family here and our team here so to be here while he wins his award is awesome one of the finalists for this year’s Muhammad Ali Sports humanitarian of the Year award all the way from New Orleans the M Pelicans Superstar CJ mum if you love Louisiana you know the name Steve G his extraordinarily courageous life tomorrow night at the SVS Steve will join those legendary names and receive the 32nd Arthur Ash award for courage I cannot think of a more deserving soul and we are all so honored to have him with us tonight when I think about Steve as a teammate and a friend I think of a guy who’s always taken the idea of living to the next level he’s never given in never sto fighting no white flag and never stop finding ways to inspire impact and write his own [Applause] story thanks Drew I love you when I learned I was receiving this award I started reflecting on what that word courage means to be courageous we must first experienced loneliness unworthiness or any of the faces of fear considering this truth of our Humanity it’s vital that we all individually and collectively discover ways to be courageous and love the life we have if we can listen understand and help alleviate each other’s suffering then truly all things are [Applause] possible hey Steve gleon proud of you man keep doing your thing keep making an impact on this world and you know is it’s life changing you know uh if story is very impactful to me you know it’s made a great impact on me uh from when our first stepped on the field for this team and understood the impacts you have for others and uh just extremely happy that you uh you know get to have this award and um make this achievement I mean I I’ll tell you what it’s so often that I’ll run into people so far moved from New Orleans who had no awareness or knowledge about ALS um but because of Steve and the work that he does have become more aware and actually follow along to see what he’s going to do to impact the community at this point uh nothing surprises me with him and what he achieves and uh again it’s it’s a really great humbling honor and I’m super proud of him but yeah this guy he’s good at winning Awards [Music]
