  1. To the surprise of absolutely no one, yet defying logic, Goldy continues to bat 4th…

  2. Jeez. Just learned that one of my top returning HS players has transferred to another school, and I suspect that another may do the same. We had almost. I depth last year, and these two were 2 of our 3 starting pitchers and 2 of our 3 catchers. The third guy graduated. So I basically have no catchers and will have to convert relief pitchers into starters.

  3. Braves fan here with a story for you.
    Gather round, children.

For 7 years I worked seasonally as a raft guide and zipline guide in the North Carolina mountains. If it had paid anything like a real job I would still be there.

In 2019, it was time to leave, for the final time, and get a real job. The girl I had been “dating” and I broke things off, as a long distance relationship just wouldn’t make sense. So I left my favorite place on Earth and a person who may have been the one, had things been different.

I was bummed and uncertain and had a 7 hour drive to be alone with my thoughts. The one bright spot of the day was that an important Braves game would be on the radio around the time I got through the north Georgia mountains. I counted the minutes down until the welcome distraction.

Within 10 minutes of the first pitch Foltynewicz had fallen apart and the Cardinals scored 10 runs in the first. It was that game. They knocked us out of the NLDS in half an inning. Alright. A day of endings I guess. I turned the radio off after the bottom of the first and rode the next 5 hours in silence.

So, the moral of the story is that I hate you guys and I’d prefer it if you didn’t score any runs.
