  8. Before I start, I have to say this:
    I am STILL Not Used to Hearing Chip Carry call games for the Cardinals instead of the Braves. No Denying that Brandon Gaudin and C.J. Nitkowski have one an amazing job with Bally Sports South, but having Chip and Joe broadcasting for so long still lingers with me in the 2000's and 2010's. Good to hear him voicing as well as he does!

    Notes From the Game:

    + GROUND CHUCK with a SOLID Performance! 6 Innings of 1-Run, 6-Hit Ball, Walking 1 and Striking Out 4 in an Unfortunate No-Decision. Morton Remains at 5-5, but his ERA drops down to 3.92! Perhaps a Start like this could be a Good Omen for the 40-Year Old Vet!

    + Bullpen did a GREAT Job keeping the Cards Bats at Bay! Lee, Jimenez, Iglesias and Johnson Combine to FINISH the Final 4 Innings, Allowing Just 1 Run on 3 Hits, Walking 1 and Striking Out an Additional 4 Red-Birds! Pierce Johnson gets the WIN in Relief, Allowing 1 Hit and 1 K, but getting a VERY FORTUNATE UNASSISTED DOUBLE KILL TO NEUTRALIZE THE THREAT in the 10th! Johnson Improves to 3-1 with an ERA of 3.03!

    ROTATION TOTAL: 10 Innings, 2 Runs, 9 Hits, 2 Walks, 8 Strike Outs, 1 Home Run Allowed!

    IT TOOK 6 INNINGS, But the Braves' Offense JUMP-STARTED THE IGNITION and Put it Together Late!

    + WELCOME BACK TO BRAVES COUNTRY, EDDIE ROSARIO! 1-3 with the GAME-TYING, 2-RUN SUPER MISSILE THAT BOUNCED INTO THE CHOP HOUSE SEATS! Rosario holds onto a .182 Average, .2 OPS, and 8 Home Runs on the Season!

    + THE OZ-MAN SAVES HIS BEST SWING FOR LAST! Despite an 0-4 Day, He made his best swing count, hitting a GAME-DECISIVE, GAME-WINNING SACRIFICE FLY IN THE 10TH To Score Duvall from 3rd! Albies clings to a .255 Average with an OPS of .713!

    + OTHER NOTABLES: Travis d'Arnaud had an EXCELLENT Day, going 3-4 with 3 Singles. Riley and Ozuna recorded 1 Hit Today, all of them Singles, while Kelenic, Riley, Rosario, and Arcia each recorded 1 Walk. Olson & Duvall had 0-4 Days, though WERE making Contact with the Baseball.

    + DID THE BRAVES NEED THIS WIN BADLY! Morton was GREAT, The Bullpen was SOLID, the Defense was STOUT, but when it looked like things were Grim… THE OFFENSE SHOWED UP WHEN IT MATTERED! Getting it back to FULL IGNITION has been One HECK of a Struggle, but the signs are THERE. MAN, DID WE NEED THIS!

    LATER TODAY:

    GAME 2 of the Doubleheader, and of this series, will take place under the evening skies of Truist Park. Sonny Gray will take the helm for the Redbirds, who is coming off a Respectable, but Unfortunate Outing against the Cubs, in which he allowed 3 Runs on 9 Hits, Walking None and Striking Out 6 Over 7 SOLID Innings, But getting NO Run Support, Resulting in a Loss.

    Meanwhile, I am being told that BRYCE ELDER will get the Call-Up from AAA-Gwinnett to take up Battle Stations for the Braves. His Last Start in the Majors was Two Weeks Ago, where He allowed 3 Runs on 4 Hits over 5 Innings of work against the Diamondbacks in a No-Decision.

    Can ELDER and the Braves Secure a Series WIN and a Doubleheader SWEEP?

    Or will Sonny and the Cardinals put up some Gray Skies Over the Heart of Georgia?

  16. Ozzie. Says. Game. Over. Eddie's game tying dinger in the 7th and then Ozzie's walk off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th we're very exciting!!! Kyle Gibson was hard to solve today but most importantly I'm very proud of our bullpen today!!!! Our bullpen came in and shut the door the rest of the way except when Dylan gave up a homerun to Nolan Arenado! Outstanding job by Dylan, Joe, Raisel and Pierce!!!!!! It was definitely a great day for the boys at the yard!!!!! Let's sweep the doubleheader tonight and win the series against the Red Birds!!!! Eddie Money's game tying dinger in the 7th inning was my favorite moment in the game but Matt Olson's unassisted double play in the top of the 10th is gonna be the Truist Play of the Game for me because that play by Matt was just absolutely brilliant!!!! Let's get another W and hit some more dingers tonight boys!!!!! Love my Braves!!!!! This is coming from a lifelong Braves fan!!!!! We are Braves Country!!!!!! #BravesCountry

  19. Austin’s defense doesn’t get talked about enough. Offensively he’s struggling this season, but it’s making up for it on the field. He HAS to get a Golden Glove this year.
