NO RUSH for the rebuild nor to bring Demidov early.
HABS management have a plan and they're sticking to it thankfully! 👍
As long as he continue to develop, i have no problem to wait one year before we see him in a habs jersey. I just hope he will get icetime and powerplay.
Great job boys, love my daily Demidov updates! Year in KHL sounds ideal to me
He’s only 18 he was unlikely to contribute in a major way this year. Let him simmer real good and get him with the team next year. We’ll be watching highlights in the meantime.
Let him cook in KHL, keep the rookie spot for someone else’s audition in MTL or Laval
One more season until he arrives gives the team an opening/opportunity for a young prospect to see if they are part of the long-term plan. As long as SK is planning to give him quality ice time/development I have no issue waiting.
That's a massive update. How were you able to contain yourself on this one Jessie 😅
I can see a world where the Habs are purposely developing a relationship with SKA. That could turn into a 2-way street where Habs prospects who won't quite make the NHL, and SKA is getting to talk to the prospects agents before they go to Europe. In return Bobrov gets access to their scouting reports 😉
I love how the Habs keep icing the smallest teams in the NHL, the smallest goal scorers, then are shocked they suck offensively lol. Gee I wonder why?
Let's go for back to back Calders!
St peterburg has a europe like culture so I am glad he plays there.
Maybe the Habs donated some cash to SK to ensure Demidov gets to play a big role on the team
I just hope Habs Digest will be providing his highlights all year round!
am ok with Demidov stay in khl for develop one year ………….. we need for 2024- 2025 AN OTHER GOOD REPÈCHAGE
Awesome news. Prefer him in Russia for the year
1 year goes quick now since the small C. Don't need 250 goals, you need more goals then you allow. Only the Caps made it, no idea how they made it they were like -30 something. Usually you need a zero or plus to make. I guess they got blown away a lot first Months. Then got better.
Habs are a legendary club. I wouldn't be surprised if they see a future star and want him to play for them before follwing the path of a legend.
As long as SKA takes the plan seriously.. I just don't like having Galchenyuk in the same locker room.. bad influence
I hope Wawa keeps a spot on the team, and maybe we can bring Florian as well since Demidov is off the table for now?
while this is great to hear, I'll only believe it when i see it. I have huge doubts that he'll play much in SKA.
Vanya
Great point Jesse regarding the loss of Sean Monahan's goal production.
Regarding Pierre's comment, it is not only about scoring a minimum of 250 goals. That is only one side of the coin. The defence has to also give up a lot less than 289 goals to progress to the next level. IMO, goal differential is something that should not be overlooked.
Regarding the Demidov discussions, has a statement been released by the Canadiens?
Staying in Russia is fine & all, until he gets drafted to fight in Ukraine…
