[Kirschner] Aaron Boone: “We’re pissed off in there. We got a lot of pride in there. We have a lot of expectations. Stretch, slump, recent — I don’t give a shit. We got to play better the rest of the way.”

  1. We’re another loss away from him slamming his hand on the table aren’t we?

  2. I typically don’t care for Boone’s public statements, but he’s almost never seemed like he cares when his players blow the fundamentals….but games aren’t won or lost in pressers, so whatever.

That said do the people who loathe Boone’s generic zombie bullshit take any satisfaction from this?

Looks good in print, but I didn’t hear or see the exchange.

  3. Since he has literally no actual power to do anything about it or the way the organization is ran, his big angry words mean nothing.

  4. Is this the first time he’s actually addressed bad play?? I think he’s finally seeing the writing on the wall…

  5. Pictured:

*Aaron Boone realizes it may not actually be right there in front of them.*

  6. It’s right in front of you, Aaron. Just can’t answer questions like that. You have some decent answers, but not quite there. Also, fuck you.

  7. IT’S RiGHT IN FRONT OF US like 4 times again this speech! I’m sick of you. Fucking fire this clown.

  8. The thing is…it’s been happening literally every season. Wish someone brought that up to him as follow up. Why will things be any different this year. What did he learn from last season?

  9. The player who should be most pissed is Cole, whose outings versus the Mets this season were an embarrassment:

    -9.2 IP

    -15 H

    -12 R

    -6 BB

    -4 K

    -7 HR allowed

    -11.10 ERA

  10. Here show Hal sees it…our total revenue was 712 mill…a new record . It was a very good year.Mow we have to,shave the payroll down

  11. I hope not. We need this catastrophic collapse to continue to force Hal to move on from Cashman. A new GM always brings his own manager, so that would take care of Boone as well. It is the best thing for the future of this organization.

  12. I read all the Boone quotes in a Forrest Gump voice. Makes things easier.

  13. We suck. 2 legit hitters and everywhere else is absolute garbage. 2nd wild card is def in play but the sooner us as fans become realistic of the level of expected play from this team, we can chill out and not expect much at all. Im def getting better sleep now rather than calling for heads on a stake. Its worthless. Hal has his yachts and the seats are packed. Baseball is fun. Hopefully we continue the over .500 record so Cashman can keep his job and say we were close /s.

  14. We’re one sweep away from the annual *WE’RE SAVAGES* talk. At this point the ball club does the ol’ 🙄 —like when your grown and don’t fear a fathers threat anymore

  15. 🟨: it’s right in front of us/ I like what I see/ quality at bats

🟧: We’re better than this/*curse*/ *will, have to, got to* talk

    🟥: Hits the table/smacks a bottle/Savages talk

  16. One reason why Boone isn’t going anywhere is because Boone’s presence gives Cashman a scapegoat. If we were to switch managers we would still suck, but Cashman would now be blamed more than anyone else.

  17. Aaron Boone: staring straight ahead for hours on end, mumbling:

“it’s right in front of us”

Engineering technicians finally rush out, to quickly repair the synthetic manager representing the front office

  18. Boone praying for a game with Laz Diaz behind the plate to make a scene to divert attention from this train wreck
