I feel bad for Badgley and respect his privacy, of course, but I’m really curious what could have happened. Other tweets say it happened while “getting ready” for practice, so it sounds so bizarre that he could have been injured so badly.
Whatever it is, I hope he recovers quickly.

wtf what happened? Kickers typically don’t get hurt too often begin with, but let alone BEFORE practice and *season ending*?
Wonder if he had some freak accident at home or something that’s nuts
well looks like he tore his hamstring per shefter, either way suck, but Bates to the rescue! Lets hope this is our biggest injury

Hate to see this happen to a guy fighting for a job. Hopefully it’s nothing that can’t be overcome longterm.
Well that sucks. It would have been nice for him to have a shot to compete with the new guy
I was just thinking yesterday that Bates would need to be perfect in camp to best Badgley. It’s not just about long kicks but being automatic at 50 yards or less.
This is actually a significant injury for us. I’m more interested to see how Bates does in shorter yardage.
